I stopped taking my car to Canadian Tire Milton because they were over-charging me for brakes. Their brake jobs were only lasting me 22,000 kms. Over the last 70,000 kms they charged me over $4,300. When I complained to head office they told me there was nothing they can do about it because each location is independently owned. There are a number of highly reviewed mechanics in Milton, that I found through a google search, so I will start taking my car elsewhere. read more

I used to be a loyal CTC customer so i had what they call money built up on my card. They offered a deal that if you spend over $200 you get $30 gift card. But if you try and use some of your so called cash then you don't get the card. So it is cash when they want it to be. Marks warehouse (same company) have the opposite policy. The customer service said i can buy it elsewhere so in the future Home Hardware is the way to go. read more

im not surprised that cdn tire has garbage reviews. i wish i had known that before spending hundreds there on air conditioners, workout equipment and fans. tried to return a below par product for a full refund, was told i cant because i need to replace it with the same product again. so, if my fan is garbage, i must get it replaced by the same garbage fan from the same company. their reciepts are misleading. their customer service is shit. they've lost a loyal customer. i am sorry to admit ive spent half my life shopping there. i will spend the rest of my life telling everyone not to. read more

DO NOT SHOP HERE. I was price gouged 300% on toilet paper today. So, that'll be the last time I'll ever shop at ANY F**KING Cdn Tire location. Taking advantage of a paranoid, desperate public is deplorable and disgusting. A big middle finger to read more

Canadian Tire - $15 plus tax for 6 rolls of toilet paper that's $5 usually. Taking advantage of our paranoia is deplorable and despicable. - Department Stores Near Me - Milton, Ontario

Absolute shit service from this place. Have gone in here several times for an oil change and not once have I encountered a nice person. They're all grumpy to begin with and only get grumpier when you refuse their "recommended" services. I just brushed it off and kept going back because it's convenient to me. Recently I got winter tires from here because I thought the prices were reasonable and it's convenient to me. Absolute nightmare. On a Friday I was told to drop off my car early the next day and I would get a ride home. And they will keep it for half the day and give me a call when they're done. So I sent my parents there on the Saturday and they were told that they don't do drop offs on the weekend and they were giving them a negative attitude. The day after I got the new tires, two of my tires went flat. The guy at the tire blamed us for not driving properly. Might I add we have never had a flat tire in our lives so it was a scary experience when it did happen. The people at the counter could not care less though. And told us we need to pay to get new tires. My mom argued a lot and they eventually fixed it. People here are rude and do not care about you at all. I don't need to get top-notch customer service from a place but at least don't be a rude pos. Thanks for making your customers feel like garbage, guys. See you never. read more

It is located in a plaza where staples, walmart, dollar tree, montanas bbq, starbucks, marks wearhouse. There is lot of car, bike and tractor trailer parking in this plaza. Okay, lets talk about the service i been to this place many times yes they have few helpers but not grumpier or rude. I think staff here needs more training to providing good customer service. There is always pros and cons to all the places but lets just dont take the negative part of their customer service. Moreover, if you know what you are buying of which company you should grab, pay and leave. I think thats all we want right. Anyhow i like this place as other canadian tire they serves how all others are doing. read more

Their auto repair staff are a bunch of scam-artists. I know Canadian Tire is convenient because they're everywhere, but I assure you that you'll be far better off driving an extra 5 minutes and finding an independent shop. The staff here are trained to prey upon the uninformed. Unlike an independent shop Canadian Tire does not need to rely on repeat business. They always have a steady stream of rubes coming through the door who want their oil changed while they shop. They will sell you services that you don't need, and they'll use a standard script to do it. If you take your vehicle here for an emissions test they will tell you it needs a $150 diagnostic. This is probably the most blatant scam that they run. The $150 is 100% profit for them and the only selling point this "service" has is that it will count towards the maximum limit a driver needs to pay in order to pass an emissions test. If you MUST have your vehicle serviced at this Canadian Tire then do yourself a favour: Do NOT let them upsell you on any additional services. No you do not need a "battery test/charging" for $60. You do NOT need a "check engine light diagnostic" for 39.99. Do not let these people take advantage of you. Use them to buy cheap tires or batteries and have someone with a sense of decency install them for you. read more

It is like any other Canadian tire store. Well stocked store my only problem is that there are not many folks to help. read more

I have to say I received the worst service here. Cashier was MISERABLE MISERABLE MISERABLE The worst service interaction I have ever ever received. I had no questions, no requests, I was ready to pay promptly , no issues, yet this girl had No hello, no do you use points,no here's you receipt or goodbye, none of the bare minimum customer service skills. She did say the "the basket doesn't go there," add snotty teen tone. No- do you mind putting the basket in the small cubby by your feet that no one standing in line could ever see? I get that it's an entry level job, but if you hate it and people soooo much do us all a favour and go back and sit on your parents couch. Because clearly if you can't handle this , maybe you shouldn't work Why waste your time , order online - Elsewere like day Amazon , were you don't have to deal with snottiness and really really bad service. read more

Once again, their website started a product was IN STOCK, yet the sales associate said they were out of stock (and knew without even checking). Either the website is lousy, or the customer service is... read more

They have everything. Seriously. Organized, clean and the staff's great. Why didn't I notice this earlier? Must be the age. Oh, yeah, almost forgot, they have some really great stuff at great prices. Actually, they have a LOT of stuff. I don't think I've ever been through their stationary section (that's right, stationary section as in school supplies) Who goes to Canadian Tire for school supplies? But, they got it. The service here was terrible. I dealt with a lady name Carol at the return counter she was extremely rude and dismissive. I will not shop at this location again. read more

Very disappointing experience from the auto service department. The Service manager was especially inconsiderate and unhelpful. The facility is not stroller or handicap friendly. There is no automatic entry into the facility and when you do open the doors, there is very little space to clear the entrance without a struggle. The washrooms were filthy. Not impressed with the wait times or the fact that I had to return to the store to have them finish the first job they did. Needless to say....not a customer focused establishment. After multiple visits and not being impressed after each one...I will not be returning. read more

Please DO NOT shop here! This is a horrible place with rude and aggressive staff! I just had the worst shopping experience today. I returned a car battery charger which I bought only today. I didn't use it after I realized that my car battery was ok and didn't need charging (the battery terminal was loose and only required tightening). I explained this to the young man and lady at the return counter. However, they would not take it back since I told them I opened the packaging (though I repacked it in the original package, the same way it was initially). I asked for their manager who was even worse than the first two. Basically, his response was that I was likely lying when I said that I hadn't used the product. To make matters worse, the young lady insinuated that I slide the packaging back in place as to deceive (even though I never hid the fact that I opened it but did not use it). The young man offered me store credit while the manager told me I was lucky to get it since he would not have made me such an offer. I turned down the offer and left the store. This experience left me very upset, humiliated and dehumanized. Why would anyone (to think I'm a loyal Canadian tire customer) be treated this way? This is so wrong! I would not recommend this store to anyone. Take your business somewhere else. read more

One of the worst stores ever. Nobody knows anything there. There manager does not think anyone is right EVER... I guess minimum wage comes with attitude at this store. read more

Usually don't do comments. But today I feel like I really have to. Very bad customer services. Just for a simple online ordering. No one seems to know what they are doing there, no one cares and knows how to operate their own system. Telling me different stories and sending me around. Are you guys even properly trained? Called another store in Burlington, they would be able to place the order for me. Was told by customer services that every Canadian tire store is different, some stores can order from suppliers, some cannot. Also was told that employees are trained by different levels. This is acceptable for wasting my time. Really!!?? read more

I have been to this store for years buying auto parts. After this purchase of an AGM battery no more. There customer service from the manager down is terrible. First all can never find a parts person at the counter and after pressing the buzzer you still have to go looking for someone to either call or ask them you need a part. If you buying a auto battery make sure they check it before you take it home because they will not take the battery back if it has been installed and even if the battery is defective. read more

Just had an awful experience at can tire in milton Ontario which we shop at weekly and spend thousands of dollars. Store just opened I went to get a large recycling bin & my husband bought large rotella oil. I tried on a few winter coats & found 1 to buy. Went to the till & i opened the bin took the lid off showed her it was empty, we proceeded to pay when Donna who works there was standing at customer check out said out loud to our check out girl "did u check inside?" With us standing there extremely offended like we were potential thieves. I said to her that was very inappropriate to say it out loud with the floor walker standing behind us in line who thought was a customer but my husband knew he wasn't! After I confronted Donna she said "I'm just making sure she's doing her job" insulting her abilities and not apologizing to us. We walked to the parking lot to see if man behind us was a customer or floor walker & my husband was right he stood there talking with them and never left the store. We are local business owners and was wearing our company sweatshirts with our phone number on it. Certainly not a great way to start our day we are very upset about the whole incident & will be pursuing further! read more

I should have known better. They get their nickname "Crappy Tire" for a reason. Both my wife and I had to get safety inspections on our cars, so we figured CT would be an obvious choice. What a mistake. What should have been a 1 hour inspection turned into a 4 hour marathon for me, and a 4.5 hour visit for my wife. We had appointment times and they did not take the cars in for an entire hour after the appointment slot, and we were in at 10 am. And their response.....NOTHING. And instead of the $100 for the inspection we left with over $3000 in charges. I have a 2011 vehicle with 40K KMs on it, but apparently I had to get $1000 worth of brake work done, and my wife needed a bunch of stuff too. They told both of us we needed new windshield wiper blade.....come on. What a scam. If you dont do the work, you dont get the safety. How is this not a conflict of interest to have services center's deciding whether you need services to get safetied? Horrible customer service, and then the unreal charges on relatively new cars. Never again. read more

Never taking my car here again! After calling several times throughout the day someone finally answered the phone in the automotive department. I asked how long it would take for an oil change and to check a leak under the hood. I was told two hours tops. I booked my car in for 9:30 a.m. as I had an appointment at noon. When I arrived I specifically told the guy at the counter that I had an appointment at noon so the car had to be done by 11:30 a.m. He wrote this down on the work order however, despite this, my car didn't come off the hoist until noon and only after I complained. The mechanic told me he did a pressure test on my coolant system and found no leaks. I asked what else he checked that could be leaking and he just looked at me with a blank stare and said it's not the coolant system. I again asked what else he checked that could be leaking fluid, i.e. power steering, transmission etc. and it was like he didn't want to admit in front of me and other customers standing there that he didn't bother to check anything else and he just kept repeating that it isn't the coolant system. I was so pissed off that I just paid and left as I was already late for my appointment. So now after paying $50 for a pressure check, my car is still has a leak and I have to take it somewhere else to have it diagnosed. I'm no expert but I would expect a mechanic to look at everything that could be the cause when a customer complains of a leak. I have since tried calling to speak to the automotive service manager about my experience but again, no one picks up the phone. Horrible experience. read more

Worst Canadian Tire I have ever been to. Employees abuse their power. Purchased a new bbq and propane tank and was told to go the fill station and ring the bell - at this time it was about 7:40. A man came out, looked at me and went back in. I rang the bell again and this happened two more times, until he came out and said he was closing and I couldn't get any more propane because they close at 8:00 (it was 7:50 at this point). I went inside and they told me they will call him and to go and ring the bell again, so I did. He came out and said they were closed and put the closed sign up as I stood there. He basically was stalling until 8:00 so he could close. Any normal person would never go back to your store after this experience, but for some strange reason, I went back thinking it was a one-time bad experience so I went back and purchased a dog bed onand specifically asked if I would be able to return it if it didn't fit. The cashier was very helpful and assured me that yes I can. Lo and behold, the bed was the wrong size, so I brought it back to be returned. I was the only person in line at the customer service desk, but the woman did not acknowledge me for about five minutes and continued to talk to her co-worker in what seemed to be her expressing annoyance with change or a till or something. When she finally stopped ignoring me, she looked at the bed, and said "nope, I'm not taking it back, there's A dog hair on it". The bed is in immaculate condition - it was not used at all. So I said "can I take the hair off and bring it back", she said "nope, I'm not taking it back". So I explained that upon purchasing it I was assured I could return it, and she kept refusing. Now, I'm a logical person. If the bed was in an unsellable condition, I wouldn't take it back. It seems clear that she was upset about something and was taking it out on me and my situation. If I knew I couldn't take it back, I wouldn't have bought it from Canadian Tire, I would have bought it from somewhere who had a return policy that they actually honored. read more
