Very hard to find assistance especially since it is summer ,low in staff seems to have cut staff ,do not seem to be as friendly either , too much in aisles no stock on shelves ,when asked for assistance from older staff they just told me the aisle number which is very confusing in Arnprior poor stocking ,just left will go to other hardware store .You need staff to stock and assist customers read more

So I brought my car in for a coolant leak, they replaced the thermostat housing and I had to bring my car back 5 times because the thermostat didn't work at all which triggered the check engine light. Again I brought it back 5 times to be fixed, the manager pat, not sure what he does but talk and talk and not actually test the vehicle if the job was done correctly. Many Seniors to help find items in store. They were excellent to find and suggest alternative items Used the EXPRESS SELF CHECKOUT... WHAT a mistake the 3 teenagers who stood and teased each other - instead of answering the ERROR MESSAGE ON THE REGISTER !!!!! Had to be actually told there was an issue with our register. Had a great experience at this Canadian Tire store yesterday. At one point in my shopping I noticed a missing tow rope from a sleigh I was looking to buy. I asked an employee for help, she looked on the shelf where the item was and then went to look in the warehouse and told me to continue shopping and that she would find me. She came and found me and marked down the item as the attachment rope was not found. Then when I got to the cash my $100 gift card would not work. The cashier got on the phone and called tech support, as the line up got longer and the return item line up got longer she calmly called back up for cash (which someone came), and managed to try and deal with returns all well being on hold with tech support! In the end after about 30min the gift card worked and I was on my way! Thank you! read more

This has to be one of the worst Canadian Tire locations I've seen yet. It's a small store that's super crowded. They rarely have the sale items out on the floor, you usually have to hassle someone to get them. The customer service is atrocious. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've had here the other day. I came in looking for a few items in this week's flyer. After wandering the store I couldn't find one of the items so I asked one of the employees that was stocking an end display. I was informed the product was still in the back, it hadn't been brought put to the floor yet. I was asked if I had any other shopping to do and after saying not really but I could wander for a few minutes. The employee wanted to finish the end display before going to get my item. I wandered around for a minute and then sat waiting about 10 feet away. After finishing the end the employee disappears. After 15 or so minutes another employee comes up and asks if I need help, after checking the back, he rematerilizes and informs me there is no one in the back looking for my item and then runs back to grab it for me, took him 2 mins. I think the first employee was a manager, or at least had been there awhile which makes it even worse. read more

This Canadian Tire is horrible. There is no staff available to help you find anything, you have to find them hiding if you find them at all. Their inventory system is not accurate. Are you going to find the item you see online that says it's in stock? It's anyone's guess at this point. read more

Went to purchase ammo and was told no one in the store has their PAL. Then was told there is someone here who has their PAL, so I waited. Guy shows up to the ammo case and says to the other CT employee, "Oh, I have my PAL, but I don't know how to fill out the book." You're kidding right? I was pissed. Only one box left of .22 on clearance and now I bet it'll be gone tomorrow. Thanks guys... read more

I've been using this CT store for tire purchases and installations for several years and have no complaints. Friendly service at the auto center (they are always really busy) and pre-booking is recommended. I also purchase the majority of my other CT purchases here and have rarely run into a stock issue (perhaps a couple of times in three decades). Definitely prefer the new location to the old one. I can be difficult to get help in the store on a Friday or Saturday but I have generally had no issue getting assistance when I need it. read more

Here has been my experience with this Canadian Tire. My Father, an older gentleman was on a trip between Ottawa and Northern Ontario where he experience a problem with his truck. He brought it to this Arnprior Canadian Tire. They told my dad that the problem was probably the fuel pump because they change the fuel pump on these types of trucks all the time and it sounds like this is what it is. My dad is not a mechanic and trusted they were acting in good faith because it's what they recommended doing. Cost of repair to replace fuel pump and fuel filter, $900. Once week later, the same problem occurs and my father stays stranded on the side of the road therefore had the get the truck towed. It was towed to Canadian Tire in North Bay. On behalf of my father, I called Canadian Tire in Arnprior to better understand the warranty policy on misdiagnosis situations. I explained how the problem was still there and we had to get the truck back into Canadian Tire Service. Pat Bernier immediately articulated that it was clearly documented that the diagnosis was never conclusive and they simply said, "It could be" but my dad instructed them to change it anyways just to be safe. This is completely false and a misleading practice!!!! Pat started informing me of all the great notes he took on the file to make sure there are no misunderstanding. It seems like those notes have been taken by the service attendant to try to protect themselves against some work they knew wasn't necessary. Here's the disturbing part which puts their credibility at stake. I had told Pat Bernier, Service Manager, that the truck was back to the Service Department, but I did not tell him that it was at Canadian Tire in North Bay, he assumed it was back in Arnprior at his Canadian Tire. He said that they are continuing to try to diagnose and that he personally took the truck out TWICE that morning to try to figure it out. I made him repeat it and asked him if he was sure, he confirmed!!!! I told him that this was impossible because the truck was in North Bay, not Arnprior. LOL!!!! I called Canadian Tire HeadQuarters to explain the situation, the file was assigned to Serge Brochu. Of course Serge Brochu looks at the notes and says Canadian Tire is not responsible because it's not a misdiagnosis as it was my father that instructed them to replace the parts. All he did is repeat what Pat Bernier already said. Nothing Headquarters was able to do about this and diverted back to the store. This is very disturbing to me, there is clear evidence of trying to mislead and protect themselves from any type of responsibility. Never trust Canadian Tire for automotive repair, they are always more expensive and can't be trusted. Their mechanics compensation model drives bad behavior. They are incented to replace more parts then actually necessary. As for Canadian Tire Arnprior.....it's disturbing that you took advantage of a defenseless older gentleman that was only seeking for some honest help and you took advantage of him. You guys are disgusting. If this happened to your defenseless old father, what would you do? You should be ashamed of yourself. read more
