At NO TIME during my visit did I see signage to that effect, NOR did the clerk advise me at the cash that this was store policy. I take great offense to businesses thinking they are entitled to keep MY money and/or tell me how to spend it, (e.g. in their store). The fact that the policy is written/buried in the fine print at the very bottom of the receipt (who reads receipts until after-the-fact anyway???) furthers my impression of being baited without warning. Frankly, I find this practice off putting and a very bad look for a small town business. I absolutely will not be spending any more of my money at Jade and Laney, nor will I recommend that anyone I know shop there because of this policy.

Only downfall is the fact that the roof leaks and there are always buckets in the isles to catch the water. Not their fault but definitely an eye sore.

There's a big Sobeys there and a Good Life Fitness. Other restaurants include Subway Sandwiches, Tim Hortons and Classic Shawarma. The rest of the businesses are services, like Cocomutts (a dog groomer), Magicuts (a hair cutting place for humans), a place that sells and fits hearing aids, a physiotherapy clinic, a dental clinic, a nail salon, a tanning salon, and a dry cleaner. No fashion retail whatsoever. Lots of free parking with lots of speed bumps.

This mall has a Sobey's that is sort of situated on Hazeldean, a Beer Store that faces Carp Rd but is set back off the street, sort of behind the Barley Mow Pub and the Tim Hortons which face Carp Rd. I find these last 2 are hard to get into the parking lot for, but there's lots of parking for the rest of the shopping. Also in this plaza is a stretch of shops including a Browns dry cleaners, a pet shop called Cocomutts, an Asian restaurant called Kung Fu Bistro, a dentist, a Physiotherapy outlet, a tanning spot, Supercuts, a hearing clinic, Crystal Nails and Spa, and a Subways. I go to this mall on a fairly regular basis for one reason or another. Not my favourite shopping spot, but a few of the stores are good. On my to do list is the Barley Mow Pub.

This is a higher end store so the prices reflect the brand. The store houses a mixture of clothes, outdoor coats, and a big shoes section in the back. There never seem to be many staff members in the store, usually two at most, but the tore never seems to be too busy either, so it works out. I have found a few styles I really like in this store and since it's an outlet, they do also have sales - worth checking out if you are looking for stylish and classic wardrobe staples.

Stepping into the 1840s General Store feels like stepping back in time, and I absolutely love it…read more Located in the charming town of Pakenham, Ontario, this is a must-stop every time my family drives through the area. One of the biggest challenges of visiting is deciding what to bring home. The store is filled with fresh baked goods, including breads, cookies, maple tarts, sticky buns, and other tempting treats. In fact, our family members often put in requests ahead of time and ask us to bring back fresh bread whenever we're making the trip. This year I was especially impressed by the expanded fudge selection. There were so many flavors to choose from that it was genuinely difficult to make a decision. One that stood out was a chocolate fudge loaded with M&Ms and marshmallows--a combination that was every bit as delicious as it sounds. Beyond the bakery, the store has plenty to explore. There's a gift shop upstairs that's worth browsing, and during busy times it's fun to watch the old train that circles near the ceiling of the store. It's a small detail, but one that adds to the nostalgic charm and makes the experience memorable for visitors of all ages. If you're looking for something more substantial, they also prepare sandwiches to order. The store carries a variety of grocery staples as well, making it a useful stop for both locals and travelers. As someone who eats gluten-free, I do wish there were more fresh gluten-free baked options available. They do offer some frozen desserts that help fill the gap, but it's hard not to look longingly at all the fresh breads and baked goods. That said, this is a very personal wish rather than a criticism of the store itself. The staff has always been friendly, welcoming, and happy to help. Parking is available along the street in front of the store, and if those spots are full it's usually easy to find parking nearby and enjoy a short walk through town. They also accept both cash and cards, and if you're planning to purchase a large amount of baked goods, calling ahead is a smart idea. The 1840s General Store is one of those places that has become part of our family's tradition. Between the historic atmosphere, incredible baked goods, expanded fudge selection, and small-town charm, it's a place I look forward to visiting year after year.

It's at a great price point, some if it is really funky and cute, and it seems to be made with some decent quality materials (I have never had my skin turn green from their items as I have with some other inexpensive costume jewelry). The store is nice and bright inside, the clothes are displayed nicely, but I do find the cash register "cube" in the middle of the store to be a little awkwardly placed. If the store is busy, it's a bit difficult to navigate around that area - I realize it's a corner store so they have probably made the most of the space, but there is one clothing rack that just out from the wall could be removed to fairly easily solve this problem. Otherwise, it's great.

Even though they have a large discount section at the back, the newer items usually also have some kind of deal or sale on as well - and the sales are EPIC! The items themselves are a mix of current season and previous seasons items, and the nice thing about this Outlet is that the items are no different from the retail stores, they really are just items that have not sold in store and end up in the outlet as discounts at the back. Some outlets have their own line of cheaper items and that's not the case with Fossil. I have purchased many items from this store - things I need, and things I don't need but want. When you walk in not only is the store immaculate it is so well organized / categorized and color coordinated. It does not look or fe el like a typical consignment store. You walk in and the energy is so positive and uplifting and it's like you are walking into an upscale boutique. I wouldn't be surprised if you walk around with your jaw on the ground with how basically brand new these clothes are but the prices are amazing as well. And on top of that everything was 50% off the ticketed price. The owner is extremely friendly and welcoming I'm sure it won't be long before she gets tired of seeing my face because I just found my new favorite store for 2018.
