Best Buy sells you a product, then disappears unless you buy a Geek Squad membership. I had a…read moresimple question on pairing a new Apple Pencil with a new iPad purchased for $900 total. Wouldn't pair. Phoned this store and the Geek Squad and was told to call Apple. I wrote a Google Review, Owner told me to send to general "contact us". Into an endless loop that goes nowhere. Drove from Port Colborne back to the store in St. Catherine's for personal service,....was intercepted at the door by an Apple Rep who asked if he could help. He fixed the problem immediately and when asked about a place for lunch nearby, he offered up "The Feathery Pub" which turned out to be amazing. A non-Best Buy person saved the day. The person that sold us the products a week earlier could not be any less interested in selling my 93 year old mother the proper product, he just wanted his commission for selling us more than we needed. I am an Android user, but hats off to Simon from Apple who was amazing ! I wrote: 2 days ago Purchased a new iPad and pencil for my mother. Could not get the pencil to pair. Best Buy & Geek Squad would not help by phone unless I had a membership. Came back to exchange pencil, but were intercepted by "Simon" from Apple who was at the store providing customer assistance for Apple Products. He immediately fixed the problem, was pleasant to talk with and acknowledged the lack of support at Best Buy / Geek Squad. Simon even recommended a great place for lunch nearby, "The Feathery Pub". Thank you Simon. Best Buy, you could learn a few things about "GREAT" customer service from a guy that doesn't even work there ! Told the manager of The Feathery Pub this story, loved it and told us he would give Simon a gift card from the Pub. That's the way this world should work ! This review is base on my experience with Skyway Electronic Services in 2018…read more They had my power amp for 4 months in the summer (June-Sept) and another 3 months in the fall (October - December). They were supposed to repair a 60 Hz hum in one of the two channels and the protection LEDs. They did repair the protection LEDs during the first visit in the summer for $120.00. They never did repair the hum issue, however, after Chris indicated he had resoldered bad connections to resolve the hum issue. Wrong! The second time the amp went in for the same repair, Chris first told me they were waiting on parts on at least four occasions. Two months later implied that the amp didn't need any parts. (There are NO new parts in the amp.) Chris told me he sent the amp out to be scoped and there was no fault found? Wrong again! The hum still persists. I doubt they did an actual sound tested of the amplifier because if they did, they would have heard the hum. I feel that Chris lied to me several times during our phone conversations, further, they delayed the return of the amp twice for unknown reasons (at least unknown to me as there are no new parts installed). If your equipment is important to you, go out of Niagara for repairs. Skyway Service is the second incompetent service centre I tried in St. Catharines. I find it troubling that a person can masquerade as being genuine, and yet be so completely dishonest. I'll never trust them again. Philips 1200B
