They actually have a Respiratory Therapist that has years and years of experience and can personally relate to CPAP struggles! One would think that if someone was dealing with people that need mobility devices, they would have compassion and make an effort to accommodate them. This company throws a chair at you no matter if it fits, and then tries to make adjustments with foam and cushions. Repeatedly. Doesn't matter if the chair actually fits the person in question. Doing more damage to the injured person is not a good way to do business and opens themselves up to losing said business. Piecemeal fixes are not what this is about and can actually further the damage the injured person has sustained. I recommend passing this company by and finding a business that actually cares more about the person and less about the money 8 months of hell continued... Nothing has changed. They are lazy uncaring and couldn't do anything right if they had an ethics manual. As I've said before...AVOID THIS COMPANY. For seven years I suffered with the most uncomfortable hernia belt ever created. I was told by the…read morefitter Catherine Matthews that the company in Montreal that makes the belts won't make the back width wider than 6 inches. When you have all your intestines in your hernia and can only support them with a lousy 6 inches guess what happens? The belt buckles and leaves welts on your body. I even paid to have the belt adjusted but it was not an improvement. So after spending $500;$320 for the belt and $180 for the adjustment I got to suffer in a never ending catch 22. I needed to wear the belt so I could walk but couldn't wear it longer than a couple of hours at a shot b/c of the pinching and pain. Catherine - the fitter was a lovely person but they definitely need a new supply company that actually does a custom job! The sad truth is that I shopped around several medical supply stores and none of them could help me.

She literally made a grunting noise. I told her I simply needed a new adapter. She was so mean and she could not care less about my situation. I felt that I was bothering her. I have been going to medigas for years but will now go somewhere else. I see that the reviews are averaging a 3. That is indicative of a problem.

I called that location and immediately was given an appointment with the Respiratory Therapist. I now have the new machine at home and can only hope that using the old one for so long, (several years prior to the recall and replacement), has not planted the seeds for future respiratory problems. There is no way of knowing just what prompted this immediate response. I doubt it was the call to Phillips. It might have been the email to Medigas. However, I can't help but wonder if this Yelp review didn't get noticed and light a fire under these folks. I only hope that others in the same predicament as me are getting things sorted out as well.

Called them and a helpful gentleman assured us they had them in stock for renting. So we headed over and got a two-month rental. We were given a thorough demonstration how it works--and the price was quite economical. The store had many types of scooters, walkers, canes and other health and mobility implements. Friendly and helpful --so glad we found them.
