This place is just the definition of beautiful, typical traditional Catalan house (Masia) with a field of olive trees and with very beautiful views of the mountains.
The water clock is quite a unique thing they have in their front yard.
We've been here few times and the staff is very kind and friendly. The architecture of the house is very cosy inside and the environment is very welcoming.
We had a "calçotada", a typical catalan dish which can be eaten from January to March/April. Calçots are some sort of vegetables, made on the fire which are then peeled with your hands and sank in the "romesco" sauce. It is unbelievably good - you won't taste anything similar outside of Catalonia at least for a while.
As part of the "calçotada menu", after the "calçots" generally you have meat: catalan sausage, chicken, black sausage, rabbit and lamb with some fries and tomato bread. And as a dessert, "catalan cream" which is kind of the french "crème brulée" but slightly different.
Everything is delicious and I recommend everyone who likes to live traditions and food, to go there and have one of these menus!! read more
