I bought the Bosch OE blades for my truck. Yes, they are expensive but I HATE having loud blades when it's not raining hard or non-wiping blades when it is raining hard. But, O'Reilly has a little known secret: Many of the blades come with a one year warranty. I did not know this until today. The Houston heat can be BRUTAL on wipers so knowing they stand behind them is fantastic. Plus, they install them for free on the spot. Kudos for that. I also bought two very large hose clamps. They are made for automotive uses but I needed two for a non-automotive project I was working on. Just an FYI, they have LARGE clamps in the back if you can't find what you need on the aisle. Again, the staff was excellent in their help. Bottom line - Great service and typically have what I need. I'll keep shopping here for my auto parts.

Y'all, I got a little dirty secret to tell ya! Come closer to hear it…read more... ...... ...... I hadn't changed my windshield wiper blades and it was due past it's expiration date. I think it began to crack the glass, but that could have been because of loose rocks on the road. A little birdy told me that O'Reilly changes the blades free of charge. Surely, they do! The chick that helped me, she is hilarious and had me laughing as she changed the blades. Of course, it was a smooth and simple process, but I wanted a professional to help me. She was wearing cowboy boots too. This location seems to be only women owned which is cool! Every employee greeted me upon walk in. The manager running the register, walked me to where the blades were and explained to me that the beams are considered "old school". I liked that. I made the mistake of getting the modern ones before and it was flopping all over the place! The blades were $15 a piece, of course the only cheapest option. The highest price was $53 a piece. I like this location and customer service seems to be a lot better than AutoZone. Thanks O'Reilly!

Racist in League City I went to buy a battery for my van…read moretoday and this woman at the store (Advance Autoparts at 235 S. Egret Bay, League City) was so disrespectful and discriminatory. Since she saw me enter the store she made this grimace and made everything difficult asking questions I was never asked before, I bought batteries several times in my life. I have to call the Chevy dealer and when this guy from the dealer is going to tell her what she was asking she started to talk loud and saying, without listening to him at all, that they don't have that battery. She was so rude and discriminatory! Her name is Tristi, she said she is the manager...someone so racist shouldn't work attending customers. If you are Hispanic and have an accent don't come here, she doesn't like customers like us. After leaving this place I went to AutoZone on HWY 3 and a got a new battery in 5 minutes!

I walk in and I stood there at the counter without being greeted while two employees talked about shifts and when they work and why they wanted off. I interrupt them to ask if they sold my type of spark plug and what kind of problems I was experiencing, and he said verbatim "It might not be yor spark plugs, but I'll sell you them, please tell me you have the V8 because then I'd need to sell you 16 of them." Basically being blatant about stealing my money. So he starts looking up my info and he gets a call, proceeds to take care of whoever is on the other line for 5-10 minutes at which point I just left. Terrible customer service and not a friendly atmosphere. I'll pay extra at auto zone, just for the respect. Will not be back.

But I needed a new…read moreheadlight as one of them is busted and I simply can't drive at night without good lighting (esp when I have 2 kids in tow all the time). I chose this store as it's the closest to my home. I got in and I'm already hyperventilating when I got in. This is completely foreign for me! Mind you, the only I know what to do with cars is to add gas on it! I don't even know how to pump my tires! Yeah, it's that baaaddd! Anyway, I was pretending to really know what I'm doing or what I'm looking for. The aisles have labels so I should be fine. Then I get to the headlights aisle and my golly I don't even know which one I'm looking for! Good thing this lady is on the same aisle as I am with a price tag her on. I assumed she worked here and we struck up a small conversation. She made me feel instantly comfortable that I mustered the guts to tell her "I have no idea what I'm looking for!" She laughed at me and motioned for me to go to one of the checkout counter. She asked the make and model of my car (thank goodness I knew!!!) and then showed me the screen of the headlights I can use for my car. Phew! Well, that was just the first part. I shyly told her, if she knew how to put this little thingy on. We got to my car and I don't even know how to pop this friggin hood! She just kept laughing at me and I laughed with her because of my stupidity! Well, finally I found the lever and popped the hood up (praise Jesus!). She then tried to remove the old bulb but was having some trouble so she went back in and asked her colleague to come out and help me. Shortly after, this guy comes out and did the work for me. I know this may sound really absurd but these guys really made my day!! They did go out of their way to help this clueless mama! Now, I know one of my brake lights are out but I'll let hubby handle that one. I'm outta here!

I had to deal with the Commercial Manager, a fantastic young woman named Shauna. She walked out to my truck with me to see if AutoZone would be able to replace the battery and also took the AutoZone battery tester with her. THAT tester showed my battery (which was only 2 months old) was in fine shape so no replacement was needed. However, I wanted to say that the customer service I received from Shauna and her obvious knowledge about her job made this little unexpected trip to AutoZone a real pleasure. Wow what can I say about this place? I know I am always the kind of person that expects customer…read moreservice to be at least half way decent however my expectations for an auto parts place? Yeah, little to no expectations. I called ahead of time to see if they had a battery for my SUV and they said they only had one on stock, Rachel was polite enough to place it on hold until I arrived, she instructed me that she would give me an $18 credit if I gave them my old battery back and then I still asked if I could use a coupon that I printed online and she said that it was no problem. I arrived hours later and Alejandro was the fist one to greet my children and I. I told him I called earlier and placed a battery on hold and he remembered that Rachel had placed it on hold for someone and he assumed it was me (and it was). He rang me up on my purchase and applied the $18 credit plus my coupon that I printed online. I did let him know ahead of time that this was the first time I ever had an issue on my brand new vehicle and I was not sure how to remove all the excess parts to get to the battery plus I didn't have the tools since I urgently needed my new battery places to get home. Alejandro politely helped me out, grabbed his tools and began teaching me what needs to be removed for future reference. What surprised me the most is during 6:30 p.m. in 103 degrees Fahrenheit he managed to still be polite despite the heat and after changing many batteries that day. He even went to the extent as far as also making small talk to my children as he was doing me the favor of changing the battery. At the end, after his entire t-shirt was soaked with sweat I offered a tip for going out of his way to help me out, he gladly accepted it and thank me for it but I thank him for not only being kind throughtout the experience but also having to put up with the intense heat. No small job goes unnoticed, to me it meant a lot since I took the risk of possibly not making it home with my old battery.
