Their rainbow salad selection is the bomb and best of all, it's all ready for me to take-away at 8:00am on my walk to work. The cooked brunches are also the shiz; full with veggies, legumes and general orgasmic-organic-goodness. I often find myself food browsing, wanting to buy something 'for later', like one of their spelt muffins or a packet of coconut flour to bake with. Raw 'confections' always seduce me, too. 5 stars for The Big O.

Crown street has lots of cafes to choose from but O Organic offers a solid menu! The produce that you're served is organic, I appreciate that the cafe supports farmers - You can definitely taste the quality ingredients. I added halloumi to the green healing bowl, I was only expecting two small pieces of cheese, however the serving was very generous! Considering all the healthy elements of the meal it tasted SO good! There are lots of vegan and vegetarian options which is also great! At the front of the store you'll notice healthy treats and take away goodies! A little pricey $27 for a juice and lunch (one person), still you expect this in Surry hills and I certainly don't mind paying for quality!

Pleasantly surprised by the espresso coffee. Today's bean was Colombian Ethiopian blend. Notes of chocolate and hints of blueberry. Had a long lack and they tailed it to my strength level.

Star 1: How were the service and atmosphere? Haven has a great nautical vibe and an open air shop that's casual, comfortable, and maybe surprisingly would be a great place to get some work done. The service is top notch, and my coffee and sandwich came out quickly. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $6.00 AUD for a pressed ham and cheese croissant sandwich is an absolute steal, and $4.00 AUD for Haven's flagship Milk Coffee was equally cheap. Great value. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? Everything here at Haven was good. The Milk Coffee didn't particularly stand out to be honest given it was pitched as a flagship menu item, bu the pressed croissant sandwich was something I hadn't had before and was great as far as breakfast sandwiches go. Single Star. Star 5: Would you be excited to go back? Absolutely. Star.

Sandwiches, sandwiches, SANDWICHES!!!…read more Like Joey from Friends, I love me some sandwiches. I believe this place opened less than a month ago, and I noticed it when I went to Single Origin one day and made a note to check it out. As its namesake states, this place is a simple sandwich shop. The interior is cozy, the people friendly, and the music sets the mood. Me gusta. The place is clean, straight to the point with natural and fresh ingredients, affordable (under $10!) and tasty to boot. They don't do sides except for the bread they serve during breakfast, and they also have salads if you don't want to have a sandwich. Let's be real here though, why would you go to The Sandwich Shop and not order a sandwich? Depending on the sandwich, you get to choose what kind of bread you'd like as well between rye, sourdough, and whole wheat. The sandwiches on tap are: Chicken Schnitzel The Sandwich Club Rare Roast Beef Tuna + White Bean Smoked Salmon Bagel The Original New York Reuben Pulled Pork The Ultimate Salad Sandwich You can also create your own sambo if you like. My friend and I ordered the Rare Roast Beef and The Original New York Reuben. If you like cheese, you will like the Rare Roast Beef. The Fontina Cheese used to top this was massive and flavourful. The roast beef could have been a bit more rare for my taste but it was still very good nonetheless. The Reuben...the reuben was great. I wouldn't call it the Original New York Reuben but that's not a bad thing. The Reuben served here was very high quality, as the beef is a thicker and juicier slice than you'd get with a New York Reuben. The cheese, sauerkraut and dressing were great as well. Definitely the best "Reuben" I've had in Sydney so far. If you like sandwiches you can't go wrong here. I'll have to come back to try the others.

Situated in Surry hills near a number of local shelters, it is situated perfectly for diners to really understand what they're contributing to. It is there to encourage compassion and understanding of others. What is remarkable in this financial driven world is that 100% of the profits are used to enact change. The pay wages, staff and then profits are 50% selected by staff and 50% selected by customers. You place a rubber ball in a jar and the money goes to different charities. On the counter we're some amazing brownies, friands and other cakes. We opted for dining in and sat outside, ordering a granola with yogurt, milk, rhubarb and poached pear. A lovely little dish. We also got the fried haloumi with poached eggs and salad. Accompanied with a cup of brewed tea and a cold brew. Great breakfast options and a lovely environment. Servings may seem a little small, but you can always get a sweet treat to go.
