I was going to go to Camping World in Windham to purchase a new camper. I am glad I read the reviews and saved myself future headaches. I thought it might be the location, so I reviewed the NH reviews. It appears to be a corporate culture of bad, slow service. Not following up on warranty claims and hard sale tactics. read more

I bought my connect camper for cash on June 22 of this year. I had it for 12 hours had the awning out and the awning gave and broke the arm in the process and to this day, which is August 5 I am still waiting for a part to have this fixed. I am so disappointed in camping world that I can't tell you how bad I feel I feel that they have jerked me around telling me that it is a parts problem with the manufacturer and that's why they can't get it fixed so here I sit almost a month and a half later and still don't have a awning to put out when it rains thanks camping world for nothing extremely disappointed read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. ZER0 STARS! They are only interested in sales and once you pay, they are not interested in you. Just horrible. I should have learned the first time but they are the only game in the area. BOO!!! Do NOT Recommend read more

I walked into the show room ready to buy a used camper I had seen on their website. I was asked to sit and wait for a salesmen because they dont allow you to look at campers without a salesmen. A gentlemen came in behind me and he was served first. A nice man named Benji came over to help me and then this other salesmen showed up and instead of leading me to the campers to look at them he wanted me to go to his cubicle first. All he wanted to do was discuss money. I stated I wanted to see the campers first before I knew how much I wanted to spend. I then stated that I use to come there for previous purchases and he said they are NOT Lee Family Service. Yes I can see that. I then said I would like to look at campers first and he stated that is not how they do things at Camping World Windham. We left! read more

Worst experience ever. Ray the general manager was to important to be bothered once I paid for everything. We got a Brinkley delivered with a broken hydrolic line, broken power reel and all sorts of power issues after spending an additional $18,000 on off grid upgrades. Everyone there is "in charge" and no one can do what they say. Do not buy from them. read more

I have been working with Camping World in Windham Maine. Although we did not decide to purchase an RV at this location, nor at all, we were extremely happy with the professional sales person we worked with. Scott Pelletier was our sales contact person. He was extremely knowledgeable about the options we looked at. As a salesperson, he know how to LISTEN to the client and address pros and cons extremely well. He was not at all pushy and was trying to fit us into the best option for our planned location. As it turned out we decided not to buy and RV at all, and go with a small house. The concern was overall maintenance with and RV. When I called Scott to let him know our final decision, he was most understanding. If you plan to work with Camping World in Maine or look at an RV, make sure you check in with Scott at 207-209-4633. Input by Tony Wagner read more

UPDATED: I recently wrote a lengthy review about my experience purchasing a 2024 Forest River Wildwood X-Lite 273QBXL. I had issues with our 2024 Wildwood we had recently purchased because unbeknownst to us, we could not open the tailgate fully with the factory installed electric jack obstructing the gate. That was a problem because we're traveling with 3 dogs in the bed of our truck with a topper and obviously need to be able to let them in and out freely when needed. I was so impressed and grateful with Camping World response. It was awesome. Corporate office contacted me after I used their contact form to report my dilemma. They immediately reached out to Windham Maine Camping World and connected me with Nick a sales manager. Nick took my info and Ray, the GM contacted me and graciously resolved the issue. These people are slammed right now. Tis' the season, but yet they took time out to see that our needs were met. I cannot say enough good things about this dealership and Camping World as a whole. Trevor, our young salesman, worked hard to insure we were taken care of. Carl, in parts, was a pleasure to work with, very knowledgeable and kind. The ladies on the reception desk were extremely willing to help, and a pleasure to talk to. Everyone we met there was always friendly and always helpful. read more

bought a new 5th wheel may 29th. June 12th the refrigerator died. It is now July 22nd and the dealership in Windham me. has done nothing to rectify the situation. In fact, they will not return calls or texts. They sent a mobile tech who did absolutely nothing. I had to find someone else to come . The can't fit me in till august. Camping just doesn't care. Complete indifference to the problem. They say my problem is with the manufacturer. I bought it from them. They bought it from Keystone. read more

1st. Let me start off by saying Camping World saved our life! I am not talking relative I am talking to you I am talking SERIOUSLY! After leaving New Hampshire we heard a loud pop, our axle broke. As soon as we pulled in they immediately informed us if we would have not made it there we could have flipped and literally DIED! Without having appointment and completely booked up they fit us in stop they fit us in and took care of us and took care of us like FAMILY! The whole crew from the service department from Matt, James, The Great Welder, even the General Manager, were so Professional, Outstanding, Informative and Helpful!!! Between Chris answering the phone putting us at ease telling us exactly where to park and to come in that's where it started and ended with such a great crew!!! Me and my husband and our wonderful dog will always remember and be grateful that the good Lord goddess here safely and in good hands. Please do not listen to the other review reviews these are awesome workers really, really, have gone out of their way for everybody since we have been here and we you have been here in-and-out for over a week. The only issue was not with Camping World, It was they're Suppliers giving them trouble just to get the parts. Thank you -Camping World- thank you We will forever call you family read more

Bought a brand new 2021 Forest River Surveyor from Camping World of Windham in the summer of 2021. We fell in love with it until their negligence bit us in the end. There were water stains found on the dinette bench seat cushions before purchase and we were told "someone left the window open when it rained". We asked that they check to be sure so we wouldn't have any surprises. They looked and said it wasn't taking on any water when they tested it. Well their tests were useless because two days after purchase, the camper was taking on water by the gallons, coming in through the closed bumpout. We took the camper to a service station closer to home which was also part of the Camping World franchise and they found right away that the bumpout was off its track. They found that the bumpout was off its tracks and needed to be realigned. After they did that, they could see the bumpout would actually close all the way. I don't understand why didn't Camping World of Windham figure this out before we bought the camper. They missed a major problem. We asked the dealer manager Dan Caron for a refund on this camper and he told us our fight is with Forest River. I disagreed for the reasons mentioned above. So I humored him and called the manufacturer of the camper. When I talk to Forest River they say the responsibility would fall on the dealer who sold us the defective camper. So now we are put in a run around situation. We didn't buy a camper brand new just to watch it get flooded within 48 hours after rolling it off the lot. No warranty can replace the grief over spending our hard earned $$$$$ and then sending away this new piece of garbage for the next several months to be serviced. This might have been a small oversight on the part of Camping World of Windham but it created a total nightmare for my family and I. Camping World of Windham, why won't you own up to your mistake? read more

We bought our travel tralier two years ago, brand new. Within a few weeks, we had to get it back to them to fix a plumbing leak before we could even use it. There was no problem then. We also noticed that the underbelly was cracked completly across and since it was still under warrenty we had CW fix it, which took OVER TWO MONTHS with NO communication from the service department, at all! When we finally got it back, we traveled with it and discovered water running out of the back underbelly. We took the underbelly off and discovered that when screwing the underbelly back on, someone at Camping World had actually put a screw through the grey tank! Unbeliveable! Now it's in again, to repair this issue they caused (we are hoping they honor their error and take care of it, we even spoke to the general manager about all these issues, especially about CW not commuincating with us on the status) He said all the right things, but again no commuincation from them without our initation. When we do make contact with someone, they are very vague, don't know when it will be be looked at, when someone will be there to do the work, etc. They have had our trailer for another two months, and no surprise to us, they seem to have "discovered" another issue with the tank leaking from the top of the tank. Turns out the tank has come out of the mount? How? Camping world was going to reinstall the tank and again, it has been weeks of delay, we had to cancel a camping trip. This is all to say, that both times we took our new camper in for a repair/fix, that was their fault, camping world has made it worse. We have lost all confidence in camping world and espcially thier service department. We would NEVER send anyone there to buy or for repairs. read more

2024 update. I've since moved out of state and sold my pickup that I was towing the unit with and can no longer use my unit. I turned to camping world to sell my unit. After arranging to have a family member transport the unit to their location for an inspection they took over a week to inspect the unit before giving me a number that seemed unreasonably low. I asked if they had looked up the correct unit and if the pricing was correct because when I look up the retail sale price on JD Power I was seeing low sale price was about 67% higher than what they were offering me. While there were a couple things in the inspection they mentioned would have to be fixed I still felt they were extremely low with their offer. I tried to bargain, reasoning that the new AC in the bedroom was not base with the unit (thus adding value), as well as the inverter and transfer switch. I was told that I was given a fair offer and welcome to take my unit elsewhere if I was unsatisfied. Being that I'm doing everything remotely I decided that I was going to end the headache of dealing with it and took the offer. A week later I just checked the website and saw the unit is already listed for sale at an 82% markup over what they paid me for it. And with how slow they were at repairs before I'd be willing to bet that no repairs have been made to the unit yet either. I feel like I was taken advantage of because they knew I was not available to do anything else with it readily. Purchased my camper here in December 2021. In the spring when de-winterizing I had a cracked grey tank pipe so my grey water would leak all over the place. Figured out what I needed for parts and took it to them, showed them the photos and they offered to make an appointment to get it repaired. About a month out. I offered to fix it myself if they got me the parts. There was one flange I could not get at Home Depot so I had to at least get that from them. Next I wanted some service done to the unit (add a second A/C, check why my hot water heater wasn't running on propane, look at repairing the awning and fixing another trim piece that had cracked. I made the appointment sometime in august for the first week of October and was asked to get a few pieces of information (including the model a/c I wanted to add) so that it would speed up the process when it did get dropped off. I went back home and emailed the information over the following day. Never heard back from the service rep and even tried following up. Reached out again to confirm my appointment and was good to go. Show up and the service rep admitted he didn't even look at my email, then informed me the work was going to take 2-3 weeks instead of the quoted 1 week, and rates had gone up so it would cost more. Because of the timing and I had just taken the camper home the previous day I had not winterized it and planned on doing it once getting it home from service. I now had no choice but to have them winterize it to prevent damage. Service ended up taking until 11/12 so over a month and they also said that my water pump failed when they tried to winterize it, but it was covered under the extended warranty (was working fine the night before I dropped it off). I show up and it was a different sales rep and I was told I could pick up my unit but couldn't pay the remaining balance that day because certain people were not on site to be able to make that happen. I sign acknowledging the work completed and go to hook up my truck to the camper. Then I noticed part of my hitch receiver had been damaged and the electrical had been messed with (which was outside the scope of the work). Told and showed the rep the damage and they asked if I could still hook up to the camper. I hooked up and it went on fine, but I was still slightly concerned about something possibly catching while going down the road. He talked to the manager on duty and they were willing to offer a $25 gift card for compensation because it was "still functional". The part is a $75 replacement part. I declined as I hadn't paid the remainder of my invoice yet and $25 was not enough in my eyes. Drove home and I had to reach out to the regular service rep the following week about the invoice and damage. Gave him the information and he was supposed to follow up. Never heard from him again. Fast forward to spring and a different sales rep reached out asking about having me pay the invoice. I asked for an answer on the hitch damage and he did not have anything noted and the previous rep no longer worked there so I then had to explain everything to him. End of day he comes back and offers to to comp the remaining invoice amount for compensation and I have to order and install the damaged part myself (the amount about covers the winterization charge, the damaged piece, and maybe another $25-50). read more

I was very disappointed with my Forest River Wildwood and with dealing with Camping World over it. I left a terrible review. Once I did, I really got their attention. They did their best to make things right. We ended up making an even trade for a comparable model two years older but apparently in very good shape. James in service and especially Desiree in finance were very helpful. Everyone was easy to deal with. Of course the fact that it took the poor review to get good service does not reflect well on the company but I am hopeful that the unit holds up when we get back on the road. read more

I wish there was at least one good thing to say about this place, but there isn't, sorry. From the minute we took delivery of our camper (Forest River NoBo 19.5), the experience has been a disaster. We were guaranteed by three people that the delivery would include a complete walkthrough of the unit and the demonstration of the operation of all systems. Wrong! We got 5 minutes in the camper and were rushed off to sign the papers. Service? Sorry, but this is the worst service I have ever seen in my life... anywhere... The one answer we can be guaranteed to get is "I don't know". That's from anyone and to any question. Trying to get hold of the service manager or general manager is a waste of time; they are unreachable and don't return phone calls. There are other RV dealers in Maine, and I would highly advise trying anyone else. read more

It is so sad that the worst dealer is taking over the world. I miss Lee's so much and will miss Flagg RV as well. Lees always carried Venture RV's but looking at the website they don't any longer. if I could, it would be a MINUS 3! The salespeople were "too busy" to help out family and the two teenagers at the registers told were exceptionally rude. No masks in sight. As we left, the two snotty wrinkled nosed teenagers faces were still etched in my brain, so I decided to call the main number. Was met with the same charming attitude from an adult in the sales department. No apologies and put me on hold. I'd heard the transition was not going well. Clearly the other two reviews they've gotten in the last 3 weeks this chain has taken over from the Lee's family are quite apt. How sad. Pathetic, really. After years of doing business with Lee's, I'll drive to central Maine or out of state before setting foot in that business or any other Camping World. I certainly wouldn't let anyone I cared about do business with them. Awful. Awful. Rude and disappointing. Stay away. Far away! read more

The service and parts department absolutely suck. They don't call you back and they claim that they are booking out much longer than the truth is. They tried to sell me a pair of awning arms when I only needed one. Cost of $900 plus dollars plus labor to install. Oh and not To mention the 10 plus weeks to get. We purchased our Forest River Lodge in May 2021. The camper is beautiful. The problems are endless. Like others we got extended warranties. Long story short. Camper breaks easily. Call Camping World for assistance, only to be told "he isn't available". then you are transferred to voicemail, where you leave several voicemails with absolutely no return call, no responses to several emails for several days. I finally called corporate office for assistance. Low and behold, I checked my email a few hours later, and now have an appointment in 2 weeks. So I guess you can't sit on my couch for 2 more weeks, it's broken in half!!! And less than a year old! I was told we sit down to hard!?!?!?! I've read several reviews, and we are all having the same issues. Dennis said it perfectly, you buy a camper that breaks easily and takes months to fix!! I've been waiting over a year. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Every call you make is stressful and just makes the purchase so unenjoyable. read more

Tried a few more times after I got the message to email. You guys added me to your lists I didn't ask to be part of. I did receive courtesy from everyone I talked to after "Carl" happened. That being said the price you estimated me for a trailer hitch was astronomically overpriced In comparison to all of your competitors by $600 . I even sent you the quote I got from Uhaul for $380 which Handy was close at $400. You guys over $1000 what a joke. Online I could buy 30 other hitches myself and for $100 and just pay any mechanic to install it probably. I really don't like giving poor reviews but this entire experience for me was absolutely horrid and a trailer hitch for my car does not cost that much and no I'm not gonna pay you to have it shipped to your business because that's your responsibility not mine. Do you realize how many other businesses are doing the exact same thing as you? You cant price yourself out of competition or you won't have any business at all. People have to wanna pay you and if they can get the same thing probably with the same or better service without the headache they will. read more

Negative! Negative! Never again! Negative 5 stars is what I would give them. Would /will never recommend this location to anyone. We had a fantastic experience working with all the teams at Camping World in Windham. Our salesman , Anthony, was a straightforward, upfront, easy going man who quickly and efficiently took us through the entire process of choosing an RV to purchase. He made us feel at home and it actually was a very enjoyable experience. No sales pitch, pressure or confusion about the vehicle, purchasing the RV and follow up of questions in the days after. Going back to pick up the RV was easy as we were assigned an associate who knew the RV inside out. Our financial advisor was Desiree. She was so animated and genuinely happy to help us get all the best deals possible and have fun doing it. It was streamlined and done to perfection. the support staff and managers went above and beyond to remember who we were, answer questions and provide us with all of the follow up questions and teaching we needed. the entire experience was A+++ all the way!! read more

DON'T GO TO CAMPING WORLD! Read the entire story please! Went to camping world of windham almost a month before taking a 4500 mile trip looking for a camper in our budget, around 10k. Had a decent sales associate and after driving to another camping world in north Conway and another in limington only 1 was a good weight for my truck and had what we though we needed. Associate took a 2k deposit and said I'll be on vacation in Nashville TN but they will pull it out and go through it thoroughly I promise I'll tell them to because of your trip. Showed up following week, granted the break lines on my truck finally rotted out and I needed the camper delivered which a nice older gentleman did for us. However we waited an hour to be seen for paperwork, lived the lady who saw us but NO ONE TOOK THE CAMPER OUT IN 2 WEEKS TO LOOK THROUGH IT! It is a 2005 zeppelin z11 just so if they look they KNOW WHO THEY FUCKED OVER! First the kid "TECH" for our walk through spilled no one added it to the list to be pulled out so waited 3 hours for that. During the walk through half the shit inside didn't work and he was clueless to why. Get it home thinking ok everything else worked.... WRONG! The battery was wired backwards because they are idiots and didn't realize on that model black is power white is ground. Converter FRIED, auto reset breakers FRIED battery TOAST the day before we are to leave on our trip. Wife called service and the asshole who answered said well that sucks and said nothing we can do you can make an appointment. I have photos and plan to use them once I'm back. So off on the trip we go with a fucked up trailer. No AC while in Niagara falls, get to Ohio my Army buddy and I start replacing stuff. New resets, new breakers, new battery and Holy crap POWER! However converter still fried so we robbed the trickle charger from my truck for the battery. I message my sales associate who said he would have a better tech call me yet I'm on my trip... get to Kentucky still power. Get to my moms in Missouri and her BF starts going through the power and AC while we are out. Finds wasps nests in AC. Finds outlets above stove screwed up fixed the pop out switch because it was backwards and we put in a new converter. Made it to Mississippi and find a leak in the pop out the bench is torn away from the wall because of water damage prior. Now headed back to Maine and almost completely fixed and re-did the entire electrical because these ASSHOLES don't give a shit about a 10k customer which my sale associate stopped writing back after I called them out on that. I will NEVER RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD to any of my friends in and out of the military let alone anyone who asks about campers! YOU FUCKED ME AND MY WIFE NO LUBE AND SMILED! I hope you burn to the ground! read more

Dishonest and lack of integrity! I ordered a new camper in March as the camper on the lot was supposedly sold, but what I actually picked up in mid June was the camper on the lot! Even though I had received an email saying your new camper will "arrive" next week. If the original deal fell through and I was willing to buy the one on the lot, why lie to me? I actually have pictures showing the VIN number from my trip in March matches the camper that came hot off the assembly line! Why lie? Zero response from both the sales manager Ray and Jason the finance guy. I am still struggling with service and don't have high hopes. I am still trying to get a new panel as the one from this "hot off the assembly line" is defective. They apparently never fully tested it prior to me picking it up. The panel reads E when filling the fresh water, which then made us overfill it. It still shows E even though we have moved lots of water into the gray tanks. I will not recommend and will find another place to do business. The integrity and friendliness of Lee's is greatly missed! read more

The service dept here is AWESOME!!! I had an issue the other day that I couldn't tell if it was something broken, something of my own fault, or if I just didn't know what was going on, and they got me in the very next day, took care of it ASAP, and took the time to explain to me what it was, why it was, and what the fix was. They were very patient with me, took the time to listen and understand my concern, and then solved it and helped me with it moving forward. I couldn't have asked for better service from them! read more

We have been waiting since August for Camping World to get the parts to fix our camper. We bought it in Windham last year and had an accident with it on our third adventure. My husband and I purchased a Thor Gemini from Camping World in Windham this week. We loved the staff and laughed a great deal with them. People were so nice and helpful. There was a problem with a few things on our camper and they had to hold it a few extra days to get it repaired. They found the problem and sent a driver over 2 hours to our home in NH to personally deliver the camper to us so we wouldn't have to drive all the way back. Considering we are quite a ride away from their business, this was a valued customer consideration, and a kind thing to do. In a time where people are understaffed and businesses are hurting due to staff shortages, we feel they bent over backwards to make our camper a reality for us and make sure all was well. Many follow up calls were made, they worked hard for us and for this sale. We look forward to stopping by there again to shop, or have something adjusted, if we are in Maine. Great people, probably one of the nicest businesses we have dealt with in a long time. We actually had a very good time hanging out with these people during our purchase time. They are truly trying at a time where staffing is difficult for businesses. They are experiencing staffing issues like lots of places are in these times and they were honest about their issues with us and we completely understood and we were nice to them about it all. They also are experiencing "fun" issues with supply chain difficulties that they can't be blamed for, as we ALL are going through things like that nowadays. One pleasant surprise for our Thor Gemini was that it had a very upgraded refrigerator in it from ones we saw on line reviews and tours of the same model we have. Obviously supply chain difficulties for manufacturers mean that they install whatever they can and we "won" on that one for sure. We would highly recommend this business to anyone. Have a sense of humor and patience in these times, not only with these folks but any business you go to. They are doing the best they can in times where some businesses have had to shut down, as they can't get help. Tyler is the best in sales, we strongly recommend you deal with him. Seriously, we'd like to hang out with these people as they are that nice and that fun. Their finance manager Desiree is a hoot, we really enjoyed her sense of humor during out time with her. They are good people doing the best they can in difficult times. Thank you Camping World, you guys rock. We would not hesitate to refer a friend or family to them. read more

We had the absolute worst experience with camping world in Windham Maine. Made an appointment to have some repairs done, when we arrived they kept the camper there, they were supposed to have ordered a new awning and some other parts. The service manager Andrew, took us through the camper with his pad wrote down everything we told him needed to be fixed and then we went to his office and he produced an estimate for us a labor estimate. They had it there a month and had repaired only one of the issues. They never updated us. They were impossible to reach by phone. When we finally got a hold of the service manager Andrew to check on our camper (week 4) they had done nothing further to repair it and had not even ordered any parts because they said "we weren't sure you were going to pay for them". Ridiculous as we had left them all of our contact information and in fact had joined the camper world and gotten one of their cards, so they definitely had all of our information to contact us to order parts. We left a check for $1000 deposit deposit on any parts they might need and the awning was ordered then. In the meantime we spent over $2000 on Airbnb's as we were actually in Maine for work and the camper was where we were living! At that point we took the camper, unrepaired, back to the campground in Cumberland so we could stop spending so much money staying in an Airbnb. We took the camper back unrepaired so we would have a place to live and made an appointment to return there to have everything installed. We returned to Delaware. Five days before our appointment we were able to reach him, and he said that the awning was not in but it was not expected for another three days so he felt we would be all set. I was leaving Friday to come to Maine, so I called Andrew on Thursday and that was when he told me that they would not be able to get either the awning or the cargo door at all. He told me to bring the camper back to him on Saturday, we had an appointment, but that he could not promise when any of the parts would be installed. Is that We traveled from Delaware Back to Maine to meet him. When we arrived we were told he had gone home. So we took the parts home and had our local guy install them. We had purchased an expensive kitchen fan with the weather controllers on the advice of the service manager and everything looked to be intact. When we put the fan on it was missing a controller that it will not work without. So, we went back to Camper world and told them that and he told us to bring it back and it would just give us another one but we couldn't bring it back we already had it installed. Screwed in sealed and caulked. So they told us to go on the fan website and order a controller, guess what, you can't order controller on that website. So I have a $200 fan installed in my camper I can't turn on and off. No awning, no cargo door. Just two months of wasted time, hotels bills and a $1300 bill for labor to reattach a loose wire. We understand it's a post Covid world and then there are supply problems all over the country. But their unwillingness to communicate, bordering on plain old lying to us and the terrible service is what really got to us. Definitely not like Lee Family Trailer sales was. read more

We purchased a New Grand Design TT November 2020 from Lee Family in Windham we received great service until Camping World took over. I received a recall notice from Grand Design regarding the propane regulator that needed to be replaced. I called to book a service call and was told it would be a while because Grand Design did not have the new regulators to send to them. Well this was a lie because I called Grand Design and they told me that they DO NOT send parts and the service dept would get the regulator and send the bill to Grand Design. Well needless to say I still have not received a call back from Camping World but all is well...... Mountain RV in Sabattus me was more than happy to get my business and Yes the regulator has been replaced! Do not recommend doing any business with Camping World Totally recommend MOUNTAIN ROAD RV SABATTUS MAINE read more

WE DO NOT RECOMMEND CAMPING WORLD OF WINDHAM. SOMEONE CHANGED THIS SETTING ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE AND WE ARE UNABLE TO CHANGE IT BACK TO... ****DOES NOT RECOMMEND**** UPDATE: We finally got our camper almost a month after closing and then after we got delivery, do you know how many follow-up calls to see if we are even happy with our camper? ...ZERO, ABSOLUTELY ZERO. Also the camper was supposed come cleaned (floor was dirty), propane was to be filled (it was completely empty & valve was left open) and we supposedly paid for protectant on the interior/exterior but no evidence this was done. The issue with the order was someone misread stab jack for tongue jack. Also, for some reason we were told they were going to put two new stabilizer jacks on but they only put the one we needed (that someone in the service dept. "robbed"off our camper AFTER sale was pending w/down payment). I don't really care that we didn't get the second new stabilizer jack just perplexed...why the lie? Also the ZAMP Solar Ready was not explained to us (we are newbies) means nothing, it's not ready at all. Lousy service, non-existent communication. Once they have your money you are dead to them. We started the process of opening a fraud case against them with CW HQ to cancel the deal. Have not heard word one from HQ either so I guess the non-existent communication is endemic. ORIGINALLY POSTED ON CW WINDHAM FB PAGE (SEE UPDATE ABOVE) We were really excited to get our first camper but we have had a hard time with this branch of this company. When we originally saw the camper, everything was in tact. When we came back for the closing about a week later, one the jacks was missing. We asked about it at the closing and we were assured it would be fixed ASAP. When my fiance' was doing the walk around the girl told him WE would have to pay for the now missing jack. Seriously? The other thing that was dishonest was being told by Deserae that we had 'a lot of options' when it came to financing but when we got to the signing we were basically told what we were getting and reviewing any other options was downplayed and dismissed. I have excellent credit, not sure what all the smoke & mirrors was about the financing. Seemed a bit sleazy. So now to the camper part... We have been waiting 2 weeks and have not taken possession of the camper yet. Every time we call we are transferred to the service dept. He will not give us an ETA on when the part will be in or when it will be fixed. He has blamed the Winnebago website and their service & parts dept. He has complained about his backlog of work as an excuse why he hasn't called to give us any update. We requested he expedite and he said he would be back in touch, it's been 2 days and nothing, again. These people not only tried to pull a fast one by omitting the loss of the jack during the closing but now that they have my money they can't be bothered to do even the most basic customer service. We may not be their richest customer but this purchase was a huge decision and a lot of money for us. At this point the whole experience has been disappointing. I should have read the reviews first as it very clear to me now that they do not care about customers, only sales. I'm calling the bank who financed this deal for me to report this and see if I can get out of this contract as they attempted to sell me an unusable and unsafe camper. This has fraud written all over it. read more

Before heading to this establishment for supplies for our upcoming road trip to Sturgis bike week we read the reviews. We were stunned to see all the 1 star negative reviews and decided not to waste our time. After visiting Cabelas and Seacoast RV in Saco (an outdated chaotic RV store with yellowed boxes full of junk, garbage everywhere and a a total disgrace and joke!!) we decided to give Camping World a try. We were SO glad we did! Though the place could use a total facelift/makeover, we were greeted by a friendly & helpful girl at the front. We had questions about mobile internet and that's when James came over to us asking if he could help! We didn't even have to ask! He was extremely helpful & answered all our questions. Thank you James & crew! In closing, these 1 star reviews are undeserved. The crew is doing the best they can with what they have. Help & supplies are non-existent right now as witnessed everywhere. No one wants to work and supplies are unobtainable. Give this place a fair shot. We found them to be simply OUTSTANDING!!! FIVE STARS PLUS! read more

Called on a Saturday to inquire about a camper they had in stock. Salesman was helpful on Saturday. On sunday the price went up $8000. The dealer then refused to honor the price from Saturday when I made my first inquiry. Got a call from the sales manager on Monday saying they could not see the price that was listed on Saturday and the was the end. Tried to contact the general manager and was told he did not have a phone extension which is total BS. I would not suggest doing business with this dealer or the company as a whole. Very poor business practice! read more
