I have never been SO disgusted by a company and it's business practices. I need supplies to finish restoring an old camper, caulk, vinyl tape ect...and spent almost $110. When I got home I realized the 3 tubes of white caulk were wrong and I pick up black and beige. I returned to the store the next day to exchange them. NO PROBLEM I'm told at the counter just get the correct ones. This is where it turns UGLY. Do you have your receipt?.... No I'm just exchanging these for the correct color, she rings them in and they ring up for significantly less than what I paid for the day before.....I question this and I'm told the price went up yesterday morning....Ok I purchased them in the evening and paid the current price.....then I'm told I had to pay the difference to get the correct product. $10.50 MORE. I should have taken the originals and gone home to get the receipt, but I had to have them. I was very calm but I signed the CC receipt with a FoUr letter word and a sheep. Now day 3, I take both receipts back to CW and the coward behind the counter that tried to screw me the day before ran for the back room and did not come back, a new sales girl asked if she could help me and I showed her the receipts and gave her the short story. She was very confused why they would do that.....we double checked all the prices and made sure they was correct. Now for my refund, as she rings everything up a very young man comes out and stands beside her and starts staring at me. I ask if I can help him and he tells me He's the "acting" manager.....I grin to myself and say yes, you are "acting"...I ask the "acting" manager if he is aware of the mistakes his company has made ....(crickets)....I then ask why he is not the one ACTively not fixing the problem....at this point he looks like a scared virgin at the high school prom. My sales associate savor gives me the refund and as I go to sign the receipt it's still not right but this time to my favor, I explain I'm not trying to screw the company like they tried to do me the day before... "ACTING" manager tries to crawl under the desk. My savor says don't worry and have a great day sorry for the problem. read more

I purchased a Jayco North Point 5th wheel in February the Georgetown Kentucky dealership. When I took delivery the trailer was missing the parts to the outdoor kitchen grill. I have sent repeated emails to the service manager Shawn Smith to get this resolved and it has fallen on deaf ears. I have sent repeated emails to multiple people at the dealership and still no replies. Is this the way a customer gets treated at Camper World?? Once you get the sale complete and the customer takes delivery you forget about them? I'm very disappointed in the level of service I have received after the sale. read more

So, I went looking for a camper for my husband and found one here. Agreed to buy it and they started adding fees. The camper was an old pop-up tent style listed for $1399. Sales tax was added...no problem with that...it was expected. Then they wanted $299 for showing us how to break it down and detailing it. Heck, I could get my house detailed for less than that, and who can't read a manual to figure out how to work a camper? It's old and mildewed...how good could they make it look? Then they added a $499 "DOC" fee. So, the total was $2300+ for a $1399 old pop-up camper. Absolutely outrageous. They told me it was a state requirement that they charge the $499 Doc fee...I'm not finding that anywhere...looks like a lie. I'm 64 and my husband said they saw a woman coming and figured they could take advantage of grandma. Never again. This place sucks. We ended up buying a beautiful little camper from an individual. Went to look at some class C Motorhomes. We were sent out to look at the lot with a vague description of where to begin looking at used and new models. When we came back in and tracked someone down our representative was very rude to me and my mother. We were looking to spend around 70000 on a new class c and he basically shot us down without actually asking us about what we were looking for. Sold us an extended warranty that we can't use....No one will touch the fridge repair we need due to the fact that the electrical is a MESS... SOLD to us as a MESS but we were told it was functioning fine. Our first RV/Camper purchase so we failed to look in the access panel. Of course they showed us everything BUT that one....Requesting a full refund of our extended warranty today. Hopefully they will honor their word and give us a refund as it's worthless to us. Wish I would have read these reviews prior to purchasing from them. Oh and I also reached out to the CEO - he read my email (received read reply) but never heard a word. I had lost an exhaust gasket from the poor road conditions on our way through the Colorado high country on our way to visit relatives in KY. I stopped at Georgetown Camping World for the repairs. Steve ordered the parts and Jason made an appointment for the next morning. All went as planned and we were quickly back on the road. They were very busy but made accommodations for our speedy repair. The cost was as promised and the service and professional attitude was superior. Hello I can say one thing about this Georgetown operation. Stay away. I have had a miserable experience since buying my Jayco in December, 2018. the finance department, service and overall operation needs a shakeup. I was not a VIP after the first two hours I spent there for a purchase. The finance people are unethical, in my opinion, and do not return calls or update you. I tried to cancel my maintenance agreement and it took 4 months. I had to contact my attorney and finally the GM must have got it done. Of course the finance person lied again when asked when he sent info needed to cancel. No apology. Of course, the GM did not call back either to make amends. Sales either has no power or the communication system is non existent. I have not witnessed customer service like this ever in my long career. Fortunately, I have other places to go for service. This Camping World location is hands down the worst dealership I have ever dealt with!!! The service department is pathetic! Worse customer service and the guys in the service department are to lazy to do their jobs! Our touch screen control panel in our 2018 Jayco Northpoint broke so we called the service dept several times to order a new one. Each time we were told someone would call us back. Of course we never received a call back so my husband took the screen into the store to have a new one ordered. The guy at the service dept told my husband to call Jayco to get a part number then email it to him and he's order the part. Mind you our camper is less than a year old and still under warranty plus we bought a 7 year extended warranty, and we purchased our rv at this location. My husband basically had to do this guys job. The service guy should have been the one to contact Jayco. It has been nothing but trouble every time we have dealt with the service dept. I could go on and on with examples of their poor service but this is just our latest one. Honestly I do not see how this location is still in business. It says a lot about a business when the manufacturer of your rv recommends you take your camper to a different location for future needs. Do not deal with Camping World in Georgetown unless you want to experience a night mare. Our unit went in on March 22 for a 60 day check up that was scheduled when we purchased it on January 17 we were promised it would be done on April 1 and it was not completely finished until June 11. They lost the work order and it sat in the lot untouched for two weeks and then two weeks turned into 10. They are very good at coming up with lame excuses. I have filled out a complaint with the BBB and contacted the Attorney General in Kentucky. read more

Camping World's service department is a joke. They have had our RV for over a month and they have done nothing to repair it. We've called several times to speed things up but nothing happens. When CW finally agreed to order the recalled part we found out a week later that it hadn't been ordered!! The incompetence is unbelievable. This is the second time this has happened. We have had a very disappointing experience with the purchase of a camper. They definitely are not timely in their service! They can't even get small things fixed in a timely manner. After spending almost 40G and still not getting satisfactory service. Even made a complaint to corporate and NEVER got a call back. Everyone talks real nice to you but they wont do anything about it other than blame the other guy and we are getting the run around !! The GM at Camping World Georgetown KY apologized for the shoddy workmanship and told us its very hard to get good technicians to work on these. Sorry to say but I had high hopes that Camping world would do the right thing and take back the brand new Lemon RV they sold me for full trade in value on a new RV without all the major issues but I was wrong. I have lost faith in Jayco and CW to do the right thing. Jayco is offering me 5 months of payments to shut me up! Who knows how long this thing will be in someone's shop getting hacked up even more than it already has!! I learned from Matt at CW that there is no quality check at Jayco or CW. They expect you to buy it and go take it out then come back and tell them what is wrong with it. What kind of insanity is this !! Great way to turn customers away permanently ! We also never received our full walkthrough (a walkthrough with a tech who didn't want to be recorded because he is in witness protection LOL) yep that is who is working on your RV, YIKES !!! Our salesman Mike whom never informed us that the RV had a broken window or that the digital board for the heater needed replacing, (these parts were hacked off the other Jayco Talon they had in stock to fix ours). Mike kept pestering us during our walkthrough to sign the paperwork which cut walkthrough in half, Then Matt would not stop pestering us to sign up for the Good Sam coverage saying our RV would get top priority. My RV has been there 7 months and all they have done is drive a forklift into it and damage the front of the RV and butcher other parts (what kind of top priority is this??). After papers were signed they put our RV outside and they walked us out and locked the doors behind us. It was then that we realized that they never gave us the keys and we had to bang on the door to get their attention !! (we had to leave with the master keys and to this day only have one key to a two lock system) The assemblers at Jayco did such a disastrous job putting my Talon 5th wheel toy hauler together. I have fuel that sprays all over you when you try to fill the gas tank (Jayco says this is normal ), THIS IS DANGEROUS !! I have a slide that water pours in (CW tech says I did not close it correctly and the problem is fixed, I have video showing the rug is still getting wet, so no it is not fixed!).WHAT DEADLY MOLD ISSUES ARE THERE NOW?) This RV has been there since NOV 2019 Leaking !!! The bed in the garage now slides down on its own. ) I have a kitchen slide that now operates in reverse on the switch.(electrical issues now due to water intrusion?? We were charged over $500 for brand new batteries which are now stone dead and will not hold a charge. I have a garage door that needs two people to open it (CW tech Bent brackets and ground down Head of bolt and also ground down legs on the safety fence)THAT IS HIS HACK JOB FIX !! Rear door is off center and you can see daylight and door hits the brackets which destroyed the seal. Much worse when you auto level !! ( more water intrusion ). Exterior doors that have buckled hinges and hit the gutters (CW tech bent the gutter in to try to alleviate this ) ANOTHER HACK JOB! Interior doors that flex and twist when you auto level the RV. You can even hear the vehicle creak as it twists when you auto level. ( I was told it would only take an hour to fix the auto level if that is the issue) If that is the case then why wasn't it fixed?? You have had it for 7 months !! I believe with all my heart that this RV was damaged on the left side and nobody wants to admit it. I have photos showing an area on the side where the broken window was where there is a dip in the gutter and a section where the finish is different ( no clear or gel coat ??) The bathroom floor loudly pops and cracks when you step on it (Jayco says this is normal and CW said to open the door and it wont sound so loud, WTH !!!) I have photos and videos of all of the issues and will be forwarding to attorney and have filed a complaint with Attorney Generals office for senior and consumer fraud. Its very sad that these large companies care so little about doing the right thing and taking care of the customer. read more

I got the call this morning that my motor home was ready for pick up,,The majors going in were getting the levelers to work, finding the battery drain on the chassis battery,,and a leak in my heater box..basically none of these were done,,I find out they don't do anything associated with the chassis other than replace a battery,,They told me the company who made the levelers were out of business, this I knew, and they didn't feel comfortable trouble shooting them,,They found the battery drain to be a bad starter, that they do not replace,,and the same thing with the heater box,,nothing they can do..So I got a TV mounted, some basement door latches replaced, a sink installed, all tanks flushed and the unit winterized..Things I could have done if not for the timing of my purchase and the weather and I still need to replace the starter and the heater box and trouble shoot the levelers..I really needed a better out come to this experience..I will say that once Kenny got the coach into the shop he did stay in contact with me with updates and questions concerning the items they did do,,and they did the work in 2-3 days and now ready for pick up. So once they have your rig in their shop they don't seem to drag their feet,,Now I need to pick her up and inspect the work,,I guess because they are a new company having just opened last summer,,their technicians are not up to the full repairs as of yet,,that is why they don't do chassis work yet, but I wish I had of known that going into this,,I had other options..more to come read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. Their service department is the worst I've ever seen. Took my camper to have awning fabric replaced on June 15. I was told I would have it back by June 29. I had already ordered and paid for the awning and labor to install beforehand, and they had the replacement fabric in before I took my camper in. It has been almost 4 weeks and still no camper. I've left numerous messages and had been told several times they'd call me back still no answer. I'm not going to say I will never use their service department again, but they will be my last choice. read more

Beware! Chris in parts sold us a King satellite dish and all accessories. Asked us if we needed roadside assistance and we said no because we already have our own policy. We did renew our good Sam membership. Spent two days trying to get the satellite to work and no one could help. Took it back to the store only to find out that we were charged, without our knowledge, for $130 extended warranty and for the roadside assistance, $70, that we said we didn't need! The manager, Lisa, and was very unprofessional and rude. Charging customers fees for services or products they don't know about and agree to Is stealing! These folks are commission sales and apparently will do what they want to make $$! Avoid them and save yourself the hassle and grief! Oh, and if the staff from this location response in defense of their employees, it would just be par for the course! I would deny it too if I were sleazy and wanting to protect a reputation. But you all need to know that these guys are crooks. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My experience the last two winters would actually be sitcom fodder if it wasn't real life. Winter 2018-19, they had my rig for 5 months - told me they had it stored inside, but didn't. Lied about contacting Thor for warranty coverage, I called Thor (this was 3 months in) and Thor had not heard from them. Got it back and the service items were done but the refrigerator was skunked (they removed the wedge I had in it to keep it open). Made an appointment this year - they promised I would have the rig back in two weeks. I waited three before I called them. Needless to say nothing was completed of the very simple things that were wrong. We finally just went and picked it up yesterday (it had been over three months. We pay for inside storage and our rig was sitting outside again all winter) - generator not fixed and they didn't winterize it in time and now the water pump leaks - tried to say we brought it in after the weather had been cold enough to freeze - more lies. Yes they are "nice" but I would take dealing with a rude jerk who did their job and kept their promises/commitments than be smiled at and told BS. I dealt with Shane and the service manager - he told me in January "this is completely unacceptable, I am bringing the RV in to the shop today and will get all the items fixed" - that was January 15 - he lied. Anyway, we will never go back and are searching for a new place to fix the generator and the water pump that Camping World let freeze. read more

DO NOT use their service department. We bought a brand new Thor RV. When we bought it there was a few things that needed to be fixed. Nothing that was major. We were assured everything would be taken care of. Because everyone was so nice we fell for it. We bought our RV in October 2017 and as of today we are still getting the run around. We took our RV to the service department for repairs in January 2018, they told us everything was in. After over 6 weeks we were told all the repairs were finished. Well needless to say after we drove down there to pick it up, nope repairs weren't finished and one repair that was needed to be redone because of their poor work. As of right now our RV is down there has been for 6 days now. We were told give them 4 days to get the repairs done. Well as of today the repairs are still not done. Really?? Again we were told before taking it down there and having another appointment all the items were there. Well my husband called yesterday (Friday) and told Kenny we were coming down to get it at 10:30AM Saturday. Kenny was going to make sure it was done. Well at 9:15AM we received a call from Kenny stating the repairs were not done. Well, well one of the repairs needs to be submitted for warranty work, again really?? It's the repair work for their repair work. Kenny stated it couldn't be submitted unless it was on the lot. Well when we picked it up after them having it over 6 weeks and we saw the bad repair (to a ceiling panel) Kenny was right there and saw it and wrote it down on his paper for it to be fixed. This is the biggest run around place I have ever been too. If you buy an RV from Camping World Georgetown you better have a different place to take it for repairs. Like I said ours is BRAND NEW. Good Luck if you choose to buy and use their repair service. I heard the service department isn't a part of Camping World...well Camping World better do something about this because this will lose them sales. I won't send anyone their way. I am not from Ca. I highly do NOT recommend anyone using this service department. They never call back, never call when your parts are in, lie about your repairs, keep your RV longer then it needs to be kept for repairs and when some of the work was finished we found carless damage like scratches on the drawers and walls from a tool is all we can think. Buying from CW Georgetown was a great but the service is awful. We bought a brand new RV and never thought we would have this kind of dealings for service. Pick up our new RV 10/2017 and still having issues. A one star is too good for this service department. read more

We just had a tow package put on our Chevy truck at Camping World Georgetown. What a fiasco! The service department had our vehicle for 6 days for a 2 day job. After days of trying to get information from the service department on the status of our vehicle we went drove an hour and a half to pick it up at the designated time. We had to spend almost $100 on a rental car because they had done nothing to our vehicle. We finally have it back now and guess what...no financial compensation for our trouble and extra travel and rental car expenses. read more

So this is service related on a 2018 Jayco 5th wheel under Jayco warranty, the 5th wheel was purchased from camping world in Indiana but the Georgetown store is closer to us. I set up drop off date for repairs and 6 weeks later from 2 calls to them only the simple items were done, the bigger issues like excessive paint fading on front fiberglass nose which needs repainter still has not been photoed to be sent on to Jayco for approval. The 2 axles are having issues the drivers side is too close together the passenger side i can place a ratchet chalk between them but not the drivers side! I was told that that model was not intended to be chalked with the mechanical chalk and to use a rubber chalk! Really!!!, so also the drivers side has issues with spring shackels the bolts and bushing are worn, so the tect packed the bearing and of course with the wheels off never checked the shackels or even noticed that the drivers side spring has a spring binder loose and floating on the spring because there wasnt anything written on the repair order from tect that the service writter was reading back to me, so at this point not sure if or when i will get my 5th wheel back! and if its even going to be fixed since I really not getting any updated info! And making me think maybe taking it to a non Camping World Jayco repair shop may have been a better decision. Not a happy Camper. Bernie Moore read more

Camping World in Georgetown, KY is the WORST. We bought a brand new camper less than 1 year ago and have had nothing but terrible experiences with them since. It started with having to wait over 5 hours at the dealership to pick up our camper on the agreed upon date, due to their negligence for installing the correct air conditioner that we ordered. The camper was also filthy when we drove it off the lot. We have since had to take it back to them twice now to fix the long list of items that were wrong with it when we bought it and pointed out, that were not corrected. They are now trying to tell us that we owe them money to fix the items that they assured us were covered under the multiple warranties that we purchased with our camper. I will NEVER again purchase anything from this horrible place. Their service dept, sales dept, and customer service is laughable at this point. I am beyond disappointed in the lack of ownership that anyone at this location has taken to get our growing list of issues completed. I wish zero was an option. read more

I was so happy to see that CW was coming to the Lexington area, until I had to actually use the service department. I called to make an appointment to get my trailer tires, brakes and hubs inspected and serviced as needed. I was told that the earliest appointment was 3 or 4 weeks away. Sorry i don't remember the exact date that I called but it was at least 3 weeks , but I'm pretty sure it was longer. I was asked at the time if I was going to wait or drop off. I said I would drop off. I guess that was the wrong answer. It has now been a week since I dropped it off and I was told this morning that it could be a few days before they get to even look at it! I asked what a few days meant and was answered with silence. So my next statement was do I need to come and pick it up and take it someplace else? I was told well sir you can pick it up if you need to! Asked to talk to manager. Was sent o a machine instead. Left a detailed message and have not heard back. I am now making arrangements to have another shop " Tire Discounters in Winchester" do the inspections. What a disappointing adventure. I guess my time is worthless. read more
