My experience with their customer service is horrible. I couldn't find the size shoe I needed because they were all out of order. I bought so.e other size trying to make them work but they were too uncomfortable. I asked the young lady if they had them in my size she said yes and said someone would meet me all the way back up to the second floor. I asked if she could just have them brought down because I couldn't find them when I was up there. She refused and started off. Horrible person. read more

Got my daily email from Dicks (that I don't request) and there was a coupon for $20 off $100. Plainly said sale items accepted. Reviewed the items you could not use in such as gift cards. I purchased some golf balls that were in sale for 2 for $35. Got to the register and they did not ring up on sale. The cashier called the manager and she did an override and gave me the sales price. She proceeded to ring up my items and the coupon would not work. She called another manager and he tried to tell me it wasn't in good balls. I showed him the coupon but he refused to honor. I spend a lot of money there for golf items and just spent over $1000 on new clubs. I hope the $20 that you refused to honor was worth it because I won't be back. read more

Quite literally my least favorite outdoors store. They have a great selection and it's actually pleasant to walk around. But for the past 10+ years every single experience I have with an employee left me exhausted. I've come to the conclusion this is a management and training issue. They emote an air of distain for helping a customer and are usually to be found chatting amongst themselves and irritated at the disruption. If you like being served by wanna be Abercrombie style college students without any interest in really helping you or even checking you out at the register this is the place for you. If you are serious about any sport and need help finding a product I would quite literally go anywhere else. read more

Had a great experience here today with my daughter thanks to Chad, an employee there....possibly a mgr. or GM honestly. Super professional and very nice guy helped my daughter get the pair of indoor soccer shoes she needed online and got us free shipping and applied our coupon as well. A few weeks ago we shopped to buy our four year old granddaughter some cleats, shin guards and a soccer ball. She's playing at the Y for the first time. Grant was the young man who came to help us. He was so kind and patient with us. We had to try several sizes of shoes because she has a condition that makes one foot slightly bigger than the other. Grant talked not only to her mother and myself, but he talked to her. Then he went in the back room to get a small ball and he let her kick a few goals with him. I stopped and asked for a manager, Chad and told him how absolutely kind and awesome Grant was. The main reason we shopped at Dicks was because of their stance on women's rights. The fact that this company is willing to stand behind their female employees means that when our grandchildren need anything sporting wise, they will be the company to get our money. And speaking of money, those three things cost us just $69. Thank you Grant and Chad for your kindness and willingness to go that extra mile to make my Sophia happy! read more

Dick's sporting goods to save the day!! We visited a store in Ashland, Ky while visiting my daughter at school. My son found the "perfect shoes" that he had to have, of course they didn't have his size I stock. I quickly got in line to order and found that a store in Lexington had a few in stock. I called the store in Lexington at the Fayette Mall. I knew it was a long shot but it was worth a try! I called, they answered my call immediately transferred me to the shoe department. The shoe Dept quickly answered, looked for those "perfect shoes" in a size 3, they had them! They had them ready for me at customer service. We visited this morning and sure enough they had them waiting for us! Mom of the year! We couldn't leave with just the shoes, he also got a hat and we both got some slides/flip flops. They have a special on those, buy one get one 50% off! Score for kiddo and for mom!! Plus the shoes were $6 cheaper at this store!! Yay! Super pleased! read more

Not my favorite store to buy fitness gear. It is very large and today they had a sale but everything was just dumped on a table without any real organization. I had a coupon for shoes but I ended up having to order them online because the coupon wasn't good for in store purchases. I could have done that from home and saved a trip but my fault I guess. There seems to be a lot of employees but you have to hunt them down to get help. The salesman was friendly but he got me the shoes and just handed me the box. For the prices they charge, they should at least be more accommodating and helpful. I'll probably only return if I get another coupon. It was $20 off so to me it was worth the trip. read more

Again, another bad experience. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, The first time, I had to break up 3 teenage boys salesmen party to get help in the shoe dept during Christmas. He gave me the shoes and left, went back to his party and never came back. Today on the second floor I couldn't see anyone that could help me. I had a coat and ten golf shirts to try on. The dressing room was out of service. WHAT?? Then I saw a sales person on a ladder across the store. She dragged to the other end of the store to a dressing room. I've been looking to upgrade my home's gun safe to something a little larger and decided to shop at Dick's at Fayette mall. I found a very nice Field & Stream gun safe that was the perfect size and had the safety qualities I liked to replace our older safe. The safe had a sticker on it marked $799.99. It had a for sale sign on top of it that said $749.99 Save $150. By my calculations this gun safe should cost $649.99 if it was $150 savings off of the sticker price of $799.99. I pointed this out to the employee working the sporting goods area and he told me that the price on the sticker was the old price and their had been a price increase on the safe. I asked him to honor what they had marked on the sticker and the sale discount marked on the sign but he refused. It's not the responsibility of the consumer to make sure their signs are marked correctly. It is the responsibility of the store. read more

Purchased a brand new perception kayak from this location. Got it home and cut open the plastic wrap and the whole bottom was "oil canned" which means it was stored improperly (probably had 10 kayaks stacked on it in shipping) so I took it back the next day for return, the manager on call was trying to say it was "normal" and that they'd have no problem selling it during "boat week" she was furious I didn't want an exchange but that I wanted my money back so I could purchase a higher quality boat that wouldn't have this future issue. Needless to say after a lot of trouble I finally convinced them to return it. I read horror stories about dicks return policy being a joke and I learned first hand. Do yourself a favor and take your kayak buisness elsewhere. read more

Went and got a knee brace and they were priced wrong. Display was even priced wrong. I asked to see the manager who in return agreed they were priced wrong. But I was able to get the brace at the display price. I am not one that complains but the manager did make it right. Kudos to the Dicks Manager. read more

We love this place! They always have what we are looking for. We needed an Archery guard and not only did we get what we needed but we also got extra service! The staff is always eager to help you and it isnt often you find those willing to go the extra mile to offer help in a sport outside of the work place. There is so much under one roof!!! This is probably my least favourite sporting and outdoors store in the area. They have a decent selection, and are an okay store-just not my favourite. If you like mall shopping, this might be the place for you. I personally do not care for the busy mall atmosphere. While this store does have some camping and outdoors things of interest to me, this store also seems to cater some to gym fitness and has a more trending vibe, which doesn't appeal to me for enjoyment shopping. This is also a larger, more corporate store and there are other small businesses I'd rather support. I do like that they sell both outdoors gear, and yoga clothes and accessories. When possible I'd prefer to support smaller, locally owned outdoors and sporting stores. Overall, this is a decent outdoors, sporting, and fitness store, with a fairly large selection. read more

This place is massive! It even has escalators and two levels. It's attached to Fayette Mall, but has it's own outside entrance as well as an inside entrance in the mall. In front of it is also one of my favorite places to park when I'm going to the mall. So, I usually walk in and look around even when nothing is on my agenda. Things that I've bought here include, but weren't limited to: my North Face coat and accessories, my husband's Spyder jacket and glove, my daughter's Under Armor hoodies, my Cincinnati Reds shirt... I"m not very sporty, so I can't comment on the sporting goods, but they do have a lot. read more

They have just about everything one could need for sports...gear, shoes, clothes, and more! Although I always come here because I know I don't have to hunt for what I need I hate paying the high prices especially on the clothes!!! I don't buy shoes here ever, I can go somewhere cheaper. Sometimes you can find good deals on sale but you have to look through racks to find them sometimes. I find them mixed in with regular priced clothes a lot of time. read more
