You can buy a daily bus pass from the front desk - just be sure to validate it when you get on (it's usually in the back of the bus near the door). The Market is small and the hours often weren't in line with when I needed a snack. There's a grocery store across the street if you want more options. I ate at the restaurant a few times and the food was good, though nothing to write home about. I did enjoy getting a latte and croissant in the mornings for under 4 euro before heading into the city. I stayed in a hu stay Smart XS Plus which was the size of a standard hotel room. The bed was two twins pushed together and I found myself kind of in a crevice when I woke up each morning, but it was comfortable. Honestly this was a great price at about 550 euro for the 9 nights. Cheaper than a hostel would have been and I had a private and secure accommodation. Definitely would stay again as I don't mind the trip to get to the city and I liked getting away from the hubbub of the city itself. It's on the outskirts and felt a lot calmer.

The market had good options and the entrance was right next to a bus station that can take you anywhere. The pool shop had granita(slush) my favorite drink off all time. When we booked, we did not know which style bungalow we had booked. When we arrived, the restaurant staff was very rude to us when we asked where to go. They told us to go to the check in desk, but did not tell us where that was. We aimlessly walked around looking for the check in desk for 15 minutes with our bags. We then made it to the check in desk where we were informed that the bungalows have no air conditioning (it was 99 degrees this day) and that the WiFi only works near the restaurant and the check in desk. We walked to our bungalow and we were shocked. It was very small with little to no room for walking. The bungalow we got was fit for 3 people, but I don't know how 3 could even fit in there. We were also informed that you had to rent a towel for your stay that cost €2. We tried staying optimistic and go check out the pool, but when we arrived to the pool it was overcrowded and you had to buy and wear a swim cap to step foot into the pool. That was the last straw. We packed our bags after not even being in the room for an hour and a half. We walked to the front desk, said we were leaving, for our tax and tariff money back( €12), and asked if we could get any money back from choosing not to stay. They then told us they couldn't refund us at all even though we were not even staying a night there. We then moved over to the shuttle bus and had to sit for an hour and a half before the next shuttle could take us to the train station because no cars would/could come near here. Do not stay at this place if you are looking for a bungalow. It isn't near anything at all if you are planning on venturing out of the site. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy.

There was less than a foot of room between the wall and all sides of the "bed" (two colossally crappy twins pushed together in the middle of the room -- lumpier than my mom's mashed potatoes and that's saying something). The walls were as paper-thin as the mattresses (my husband asked me "what did you say" when someone on the other side of the wall spoke because even a hushed speaking voice travels through the walls). Somehow, we managed to fall asleep nonetheless, but woke up in the middle of the night (5 a.m. to be exact) to someone blaring their car horn and screaming for roughly 15 minutes straight. When they finally left, they drove so recklessly I felt both personally in danger of them running me over with their car and fiscally in danger of them plowing into our rental car. We were certainly not going to stay another night. Somehow, we managed to finally get back to sleep only to be awoken again at 8:30 a.m. by more screaming, this time on the part of hotel staff. First thing in the morning, "Housekeeping" was in the room of the people who'd made the ruckus the previous night. I'm guessing they must've trashed their room because housekeeping was slamming things around and screaming a ton. I opened my door and found the housekeepers were throwing trash out the window of the neighboring unit right onto our doorstep, including a used pregnancy test. The Health Department in the US would shut this place down in an INSTANT. Yet, when we explained why we were checking out early and would like to be reimbursed for the nights we would no longer be staying there -- they refused. "There are lots of Australians here right now," the manager said as if this explained something. For starters, the folks screaming/honking at 5 a.m. weren't Aussies, the staff that was screaming and throwing garbage at us weren't Aussies, their uncomfortable beds and mildewy rooms have nothing to do with Aussies, and adding racism to the already ugly experience we had here was really the moldy icing on a cake made of toxic waste. The restaurant manager was possibly one of the rudest men I've ever met and beware them charging 5 euros for small portions of barely cooked chips. The pizza and pasta dishes were reasonably priced and of a good quality. The camp site itself is pleasant enough, filled with compact chalet accommodation and caravans (luxury apparently, although I beg to differ). Be prepared to have to put down a deposit for any basics like plates and cups or a remote for your TV. The site also requires you to put a deposit on a card and top this up to make payments at the shop, bar and swimming pool - you have to pay for that too. The scenery is good and there is a convenient shuttle bus to and from the nearby train station where you can easily head into Rome within 25 minutes. A travel card is just 4 euros and can be purchased from the campsite shop. Luckily the company I was with made up for the lack of friendly staff, I wouldn't be quick to go back there though.

The good things include its position, in a pine area right by the beach, quiet at night and lively at daytime. There are a few bungalows and rooms for those without equipment, a large area for caravans and campers, and an area for tents. Two public services offer several toilets, sinks, showers with free hot water (in the past hot water wasn't free, but in the past years they removed the coin timer), and next to the reception there's a common area with washing machines (they need to be booked) and refrigerators, very useful for those by tent. The staff is very friendly, and kids may be happy to know there's an animation team during the Summer to keep them entertained. The bar and restaurant are under a separate management but inside the camping, and can be accessed also by non camping guests. Particularly good the pasta dishes with fish (mussels, clams and shrimps among my favorites) but also grilled meat and pizza. Restaurant service is also very friendly and competent. Speaking of bad sides I can only mention the prices: true that most customers are Romans spending the full Summer here, many even leaving their caravans during the Winter, but prices for short term customers are a bit too high. Considering that the tents area doesn't have a delimited space, but tents are rather free to set wildly in the assigned area, during peak season you may find someone just few centimeters from you and in the night you'll have to be very careful to cords and stakes. That's why €35 per night for a small 2 people tent is way too much in my opinion! At least the parking is free and adjacent the camping, while parking a car in the street would cost €1 per hour for 12 hours a day.
