The food was good, service good, and the pizza was some of the best I'd had in Italy. (the real touristy places don't have great pizza). This place is on a hillside, so if you have trouble walking this mignt not be the best place to camp. I was in a large motor home when I stayed there, the camp spots were a little tight for the big motorhome, but not bad. All in all, I liked it and I would go back. It seemed to be the most convenient camping place for walking into Florence.

It's a large campsite with all you'd expect: shop, bar, restaurant, pizzeria. There are childrens activities thoughout the day and evening and the 'group dancing' both in the pool and at the outdoor bar area in the evenings is very popular. The guests are mainly Italian. The beach is only a few minutes walk away through the pine woods. A good choice for a lazy beach and pool family holiday. The town of Vada is nearby for food shopping.

These enjoyable mountains are good place for hikes, trekking and to taste tasty rustic flavours as "lardo di Colonnata". The campsite is also not far away (an hour by car) from Lunigiana, an ancient land full of medieval castles, stony cottages and where you can taste traditional homemade dishes.
