Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Chianti 25, a 3-bedroom villa at HGV's Borgo alle Vigne. We received a very friendly and kind welcome when we arrived and were instantly impressed with the beauty and cleanliness of the property. The check-in process went smoothly, we were given information about the local area, then accompanied to our villa. The 3 spacious bedrooms all had en-suite bathrooms which were decorated beautifully and provided sufficient storage space for our clothes and luggage. The living and dining rooms were also very well appointed and comfortable for our group of 6 adults. Though those spaces were not large, we were all able to sit comfortably and enjoy breakfast in the mornings and wine and movies at night. One of my favourite things to do while there was watching the sunrise every morning while relaxing under the Tuscan sun and reading my book, before preparing for a day of exploration. The kitchen, though small, was quite adequate and functional. There was a minor issue with the refrigerator which was quickly resolved after contacting the Front Desk. The view every morning and every evening was nothing short of fantastic! I definitely recommend this property for couples and adult groups. Not so much for young children. You will surely need a vehicle in this area of Tuscany, but don't worry, there are ample parking spots in the covered parking garage and also a few outside. The property is about a 20-minute drive to the local train station, Pontedera Casciana. On our day trip to Rome, we parked at Casciana Terme and took a local train to Florence. From there, we took the high-speed Frecciarosa train to Roma Termini. After a busy day in Rome, we did the trip in reverse and found our vehicle right where we left it earlier that morning, undisturbed at Casciana Terme. Drove back to Borgo alle Vigne to enjoy another night of drinking wine and watching a movie before going to bed. I can't say enough good about this Hilton Grand Vacation because the staff and managers are wonderfully informative and treat you like family (in which we have become). I have stayed at this beautiful location 5 times; my husband and I are owners but can stay anywhere with our points. Borgo is our favorite hands down. Elizabeth, Lara, Sara, Nadir, Raffael have been our pleasure of knowing throughout the years. They literally are happy to see us when we arrive. It is such a joy to be surrounded in such beauty. We have been here in many different seasons and enjoy them all. Must have a car and enjoy adventure. Surrounding towns such as Volterra, Pisa, Firenze, San Gimignano, Peccioli, Cinque Terrato name a few are just so picturesque. read more

Impressions & experiences of our 4-night stay at this Hilton Grand Vacation Club Borgo Alle Vigne timeshare in rural Selvatelle: 1. You definitely need a car to get around driving on the narrow, winding roads with many sharp turns, and roundabouts. GPS is s must. 2. Our second floor unit was clean and contemporary. Reaching it required carrying heavy luggage up long flight of stairs, repeat same to the master suite. 3. The rooms are small with limited closet space to unpack. The beds are large, however. 4. There're no bath tubs; shower-only, with 3 positions: overhead rain, hand held or fixed horizontal jets. 5. The kitchen is well stocked and compact. There are no toaster or coffee machine. Be sure to turn on fan above electric range for smoke detector Is ultra sensitive. 6. Guest services manual proved useful in learning to use appliances. 7. There are several supermarkets close by: we found Conad in Capannoli on way to hotel from Pisa but MD in Terricciola is closer, has more selections and better prices. 8. In-room laundry machine took a long time but worked after several hours. €3 for using drying machine in lobby. 9. There're limited dining choices close by, especially for breakfast. Many are closed on Monday or Tuesday. We tried bread man with fresh pastries once on first morning of stay. 10. The hotel served as a convenient base for memorable excursions: * We made arrangement directly with Arianna & Friends close by the hotel for a private cooking class at a rural farm which was wonderful. * We had a good visit to Pisa where we parked far from city center. We were less familiar with Lucca and almost got stuck in a narrow one way lane with right angle turn. * Same scary experience occurred when we tried to reach restaurant in town center in Peccioli about 2 miles south east of hotel. * We signed up for guided tour of Siena, San Gimignano and Chianti from Florence so we explored Volterra on our own. Beautiful Tuscany countryside drive and nice hilltop town. * We walked to two wineries close by the hotel. The front desk helped arrange a wine feasting with dinner which was very enjoyable. read more

Tuscany is farmland. The condos are way out there. A car is a must, and driving up to a few hours to destinations is the program. Comfortable condos have everything you need. If you can't find it, ask the desk. They have extras of many things. Also, day tour flyers, and travel books are available. There is a nice pool, tho not heated. A winery is down the street with a nice program. Wine is for sale in the lobby. Small villages have grocery stores and pharmacies; bring your own totes, or buy theirs for a few euros. A combo washer/dryer was available, and tho we used it four times (soap is provided) we never got it right. Fortunately, a drying rack is available which usually helped, then we put the damp items in the car to sun dry. Florence, Siena and Pisa were main destinations, but small villages nearby are wonderful, too. We found a castle in Lari only a few kilometers away. AND Gluten free pasta is available in some restaurants. GF pizza not so much. Italian gelato is not gluten free, tho in the U.S. it is. The Coop groceries have sections for GF products, which we needed. read more

I recently stayed here with my family, and this Hilton Grand Vacations Club is in a beautiful location, however it is a little annoying that this place doesn't provide any food. Luckily, there is a supermarket conveniently located in a town called La Rosa close by. If you are planning to go out and explore for the day, you MUST have a car. Pool at Hilton is nice but pretty shallow and never heated. You are provided silverware and dishes, as well as a dishwasher and washer/dryer in the room. If you are planning to cook, there is a stove, refrigerator, and freezer. Rooms are very modern and clean, and yes, there is English TV. Do not expect your room to be cleaned every day. Housekeeping only comes one day in your entire stay. Overall, it's pretty good. read more
