The man who checked us in was rude, unfriendly, and arrogant. he obviously treats Paisanos differently.....as we observed. Otherwise everyone else was friendly. My suggestion to the ownership....Hire friendly people for the hospitality industry. When I checked out I asked for a taxi....the camp has an agreement with a local taxi company Taxi Donosti. They quoted $10 Euros to the train station....I was charged $36 euros. Italy has the most dishonest taxi drivers of all Europe. Camping Finestre should follow up on this...how can a taxi quote go up so much when they have agreements for the camping clients with this taxi company??? Taxi Donosti

Such a beautiful, tranquil park. During the fall the trees are covered in warm colors. There is a…read moredog park, a bike road, walking paths and areas with small ramps and levels thru the trees. So relaxing to walk around here. If you're looking to extract yourself from the busy center for a bit and have a different type of hang out, come to this park's little caffe bar to grab a beer in the summer, some wine, or a coffee in winter and sit in the comfy chairs overlooking the sunset on the Arno! There is an area dedicated for me, with swings and slides. Also there happen to be some children stealing my spot in the swings from time to time ;) And of course you might get to see the occasional homeless in the further end part of the park setting up camp for the night that you can cuddle with if you had too much wine. It is these little lungs in Florence that help you have a break away from the concrete jungle if you want a little bit of nature not too far of a walk from the center.

Wow, the view is totally worth the climb. Make sure you check the sunset time and get there 15-30…read moremins beforehand, as there is a good 10-15min climb from the base to the top. If you want to get a nice vantage point for pics, definitely go 30-60mins beforehand. They have a cafe where you can get drinks (lots of people got beers) and nab a nice spot to sit and watch the sunset while impressing your date. There's also a set of stairs that faces the Ponte Vecchio but lots of people are already camped there for sunset, so plan accordingly. We came on a random Tues night and there was a band playing crowd pleasing songs.
