While visiting in the area, we happened to see this barbecue truck on the side of the road and at first I was a little skeptical, but after going up and talking to the guys working, I just knew this was going to be a hit. First of all the seafood rice alone was almost $20, the guy working explained that it was well worth it and once I got home to try it I definitely understood why. There was some type of celery, olives, carrots in the seafood rice something that I had never experienced before, but it just gave it so much a flavor. The ribs were super tender and delicious, and in the sauce was delicious as well. I can't wait to get back down to the area so I can check this place out again.

First of all, I actually had the pleasure of meeting Mel (the owner). He's so sweet and he takes great pride in his business. He already had a line when I pulled up around 2pm on a Saturday, but he kept it moving. BBQ chicken is my go to at any cookout, so l ordered Mel's chicken dinner. It comes with two sides, but l added an extra side bc we eat leftovers over here. The chicken was cooked perfectly and he gave me a couple of sauces to try. (Highly recommend asking him about his homemade sauces!) The sides were also amazing. My favorites were the baked beans and the collard greens.
