Cute little bakery that has lots of baked goods on display and for sale. Friendly gal working. Reasonable prices.

    Cinnamon king cake

Another strong king cake! The shop was small and cute with a great smell as you walk in. Customer service is 10/10. I called to see if they had any king cakes left and they offered to put the last traditional cinnamon to the side for me. This is by far the largest size wise of the Jackson area. I also love to see a generous icing pour and the put the BABY IN THE CAKE!!!! The bread was nice and airy, but the spiral/roll of cinnamon was not uniform/proportional throughout. We had some slices with absolutely no filling at all. All in all this comes in at a strong 7/10. Debating between a 6.5 but keeping the tradition of putting the baby in the cake is so nice to see.

The BEST cake. Vanilla on Vanilla!

This place is EXCEPTIONAL. We had the vanilla cake, (best piece of cake I've ever had, bar none) lemon square (flipping fantastic) and their house specialty, the tea cake: incredible shortbread (better than I've had in the UK) dipped in icing. Made me cry a little. The two lovely ladies who were working completed the exceptional experience!

    Chocolate and pistachio macarons ($2.75/ea)...chocolate cupcake (forgot...maybe $3?) and a snickerdoodle ($2)

Hadn't been to Campbell's since 2019 but they are still delivering the same, great products. Albeit...at a higher price but that's life in 2023. Stopped in after lunch at Little Tokyo. As soon as we walked in my son commented on how good it smelled. Was a little disappointed that my favorite cake designer might not be there anymore but again...that's life in 2023. Stopped in especially since our favorite macaron spot was in Cultivation Hall (which recently closed down) and they have found a temporary home at Campbell's. My son devoured his chocolate macarons...my pistachio tasted a bit off. Took one bite and froze the rest. At $2.75 each I wasn't about to let them sit out and waste. As disappointing as my macarons were that snickerdoodle cookie more than made up for it. My goodness it was DELICIOUS! If I lived closer I would be addicted. Service was nice, she was very friendly and attentive. Glad to see them stay in the area. Highly recommend!

Brownie, petite four- vanilla, strawberry, caramel

I love this place so much. Literally the most incredible, fudgey, chocolatey, gooey brownies I've ever had. The petite fours are also the best around. They melt in your mouth and that's exactly what you want. They have half priced goods all the time and bags of broken cookies you can get super cheap. I come here whenever I'm in the area.

Lemon Chess Bar.. the most amazing!!

STOP IT RIGHT NOW! This place is amazing! I wanted to take some things to clients and have it not be the same boring Crumbl or Nothing Bundt Cakes, just something different I walked in and everyone was immediately friendly! After they picked the items for me at my request, I asked what was one thing I HAVE to try for myself! It was a lemon chess bar! Omg! It's amazing!!! The clients called to tell me they loved everything I dropped off! The presentation was nice and professional! I will definitely come back and if you haven't been... GOOOO!

    a harry potter birthday cake

Absolutely the best cake we've ever had traveling - ordered a funfetti with vanilla buttercream & Im a Harry Potter head (Slytherin house!) I sent a few photos, told them to make it simple and it was perfect. I loved it and my family loved it! Would 100/10 recommend stopping and grabbing a cake! They have cakes premade in their display case too. Edit: we picked this cake up halfway through our trip & it lasted through our traveling to Orange Beach. Tasted fine the next day for my birthday too.

Let me tell you about Campbell's Bakery.... I only order my cakes here and have for years. One year, I placed an order for a cake and requested a MSU theme, I wasn't picky since they always do such a good job when given creative liberty. I was not the person that actually picked it up when it was ready. I get home see the cake, and it's NOT DECORATED... has maroon piped trim along the bottom and that's it. I called and mentioned that there was a misunderstanding and that I was fine with it bc I didn't have time to bring it back, but I wanted them to be aware so they could talk to whoever took my order and maybe it wouldn't happen to someone else. They explained they had an employee in training, explained how sorry they were, and I shit you not, they sent a decorator out to my house 30 minutes away in Madison (before they had their Madison location) and decorated the cake in my home. Now... if that's not caring about your customer I don't know what is. I was blown away. Aside from that, their cakes are the best in Mississippi, I don't know how they do it, but their cakes taste better every day they sit in the fridge after your event. It's magical. UPDATE: I'm updating this to add my latest cake... the Alice in Wonderland cake... in my best valley girl impression: I. Can't....even....

Only asked for this simple black and white cake I had my own flowers and topper.

Before I start my review my service was nice and each employee was pleasant. I visited the store to place my cake order and emailed the picture of what i was requesting. I called back after placing order to verify if cake could be made. I was told cake could be made but lines wouldn't be as straight as the picture and i was okay with that. I was not expecting lines to be so thin. I'm not a cake eater but my guests did not enjoy this cake. It was red velvet inside, but my icing fell off the cake after 1st cut and the cake was too wet not moist but wet inside that it fell apart after 1st cut also. I know sometimes a simple syrup is added to keep cakes from drying out but this one was too wet. Had the taste of sugar water and not rich cocoa red velvet flavor I'm used to and expected. Probably wouldn't order another cake but maybe try their cookies or petits.

Short version: Super nice and helpful staff, superb treats, and a locally owned shop in a cool section of Jackson. I was visiting from out of town for a marathon with my best friend and I came here to have a couple cupcakes in memory of a friend who had passed away that morning (cupcakes were her thing). It was a bitter-sweet occasion that went down easier because the cooperative staff was very helpful and even suggested lunch locations in walking distance. A local peace officer came in and we were able to pay forward the kindness of the community that had to close streets for our marathon, and at the right time the staff retreated to the back to work and Amy and I were able to enjoy a cupcake and remember the memory of our friend before quietly walking down the street to the funky skate shop and Mexican places down the street to get a better feel for Jackson. I highly recommend.

This bakery is the cutest little shop near downtown Jackson MS. I had the Cheesecake Brownie and it was delightful. We told them we were from Texas and we got a free cookie shaped like Mississippi!!!

This small bakery popped up on my route as I was touring the Fondren area of Jackson. I ordered the caramel blondie and got a free chocolate chip cookie with my order because it was apparently National Cookie Day. Both were delicious The staff are welcoming and the treats are delicious; I highly recommend this bakery if you are looking for a sweet pick-me up!

Come in for a late breakfast. Have not been here in a while, and was disappointed with the visit…read more Place was dark and filthy. Many tables not cleaned. Floors were dirty. Ordered at counter and the person taking order seemed to care less if I was there. Food was good. It always has been solid. But this visit, it was nothing special. Maybe they were short-staffed or just an off day. This place was great for many years.

I absolutely love Broad Street! The desserts are divine and breakfast is really good too…read more Bakery - The cheesecake is to die for! No seriously, the turtle cheesecake is divine. My friend loves the classic New York style. I've also had KingCake here! It was so good and fresh. I'm typically picky about King Cake, but I definitely recommend. They also have cookies, muffins, scones, and more. Food - Breakfast OMG! So many choices - Biscuits & gravy, omlettes, low carb bowls with plenty of protein and veggies, avocado toast, breakfast burrito, etc. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong. Atmosphere - It's chill depending on when you come. Just know the weekends are super busy, so make sure you get there early. You can post inside the cafe, on the patio, or in tables throughout Banner Hall which houses Lumeria book store and some other boutique shops. Prices on food are reasonable. One slice of cheesecake is a little pricey, but it's a large slice and honestly worth it. Overall, this is my favorite place to get breakfast in Jackson!
