It takes weeks before any doctor at this location can see you. You are better off going to urgent care. Second, there is a lock of communication between doctors, nurses, front and back office staff. No one knows whats going on. Yes, they are nice and all but it doesn't help patients. Third, make sure you call them before you come to your appointment, NO ONE is going call or text you if it is cancelled! Other than "I'm sorry", no explanation at all. It happened to me twice already. And lastly, check your bill! I was charged for follow up visit instead of my annual free check up and ended up paying for it. They would not adjust my charges. Do yourself a favor and look somewhere else.

While on my way to the appointment, I received a text with an appointment reminder....for 4 hours later. And with a doctor that I have never even heard of. I tried to call while I was still in the car, to no avail. There never seems to be anyone at the office that can answer a phone call. So, when I arrived, I find that the office has switched floors. Have to go through the hassle of being temperature checked and find the office. All the while, still on the phone. When I finally reach the office, I was told that 1.) there's no record of me calling 2.) they have a call center, so they have no idea who talked to me 3.) all the doctors are in a meeting and so, no one was available to see me 4.) the schedule had been set for quite some time with no changes. 5.) my choices are to come back or cancel the appointment. That's it. So, here I sit, with my time having been wasted, still needing to see a doctor and I don't feel that anyone on the staff cares. I'm extremely unsatisfied with all of this.

On the hunt for a pediatrician when we moved to the Queen City and I landed on University…read morePediatrics. I wanted a doctor that I could go to reliably and get my son's check-ins as needed. They assigned us a doctor but truth be told, we never have seen that doctor more than once - maybe twice? I can't even remember now. Our original assigned doctor was okay but I didn't feel that she took the time to get to know our family, my son. And if she was going to be his doctor full time then I wanted a little more attention, more caring, more hands on. Maybe I was spoiled from our previous pediatrician who was so wonderful with my son. Anyways, I digress. So whenever, we had to go back for sick visits or other check-ups, I could never remember the doctor's name and told them it didn't matter who I see. I can get an informal check-up or doctor's visit from any doctor so why does it have to be the same? I know you are wondering if she didn't care for the doctor why is she giving 4 stars? Our original doctor wasn't bad - just didn't give me that family feel I wanted. And all of the other doctors I have seen here are great. They all work well with children. The nurses here are also fantastic. They help and do the grunt work for the doctor. Getting the child in the right mood is most important - they set the tone and they do a great job of it. Anytime my son has been sick and I needed to get him - they have always assisted in getting him in right away. The one time they couldn't for an insect bite - they just told me to go to urgent care. My wait time is minimal. I don't know if I am just lucky here and time my arrival time perfectly with my appointment time but we are never in the waiting area for longer than 15 minutes. I don't know when they added it but they now have a check in Kiosk so if you don't want to talk to person at the desk, I guess you don't have to. But I thrive on human interaction and I prefer to do that. Check out is a breeze as well. My son may get upset when he has to get a shot but when he is rewarded with a sticker and a small dum-dum he leaves just a little bit happier.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this office was extremely frustrating…read more After moving to North Carolina, I needed help continuing a medication that I had already been taking successfully. I spent over a month trying to get answers about a prior authorization. During that time, I repeatedly followed up with the office and my insurance company, but I never received clear communication about what was happening. What was most frustrating was that I was told they were still waiting on insurance, yet when I switched to a different provider, the new office was able to submit a prior authorization and receive a determination very quickly. That left me questioning whether my case had been handled appropriately in the first place. The final phone call was what made me decide to leave the practice. When I called for an update, I was told that I was "the only one" having this issue and that everyone else was getting approved quickly. As a patient who had spent weeks trying to get answers, I found that response dismissive and unhelpful. Instead of feeling heard, I felt blamed for a situation that was already stressful. Patients dealing with insurance issues need communication, transparency, and follow-through. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here. I ultimately had to find another provider because I no longer felt confident that my concerns were being taken seriously. I hope the office improves its communication with patients, especially when prior authorizations and time-sensitive medications are involved.

Parking was plentiful and not very far away from the main entrance. (I obviously cancelled my appointment when they finally answered the line.)
