When I asked for a re-check, it was confirmed that I had been given the wrong prescription and they gave me another one. This time the optician's comment was "This has somebody else's name on it!" I hadn't even noticed that my name was not on the top line! He called the office and they faxed the CORRECT prescription. No one ever reached out to me or offered apologies. The medical staff are fine, but the factory-like atmosphere and indifference to patients has me searching for a new ophthalmologist.

The reason for the poor review goes against the Riverside Hospital where the surgery was performed. During preparation for the surgery, the nurses and aides at the Riverside Hospital push you to get a "little" anesthesia for the surgery to ensure that you're comfortable during the procedure. Now, NO ONE from Cullom & Farah's office talked about anesthesia during the surgery and the need for it, but I thought - hey this is the same stuff you get at a Dentist's office so what's the big deal! Months later, after all the bills were paid by my insurance, I was hit by an additional $1,500 bill by Riverside Hospital! Surely, the staff at Collum and Farah should have been aware of what Riverside Hospital was doing and discussed the need or lack of anesthesia before I had the surgeries!

This office deliberately leaves off the PD which you need to buy new glasses. The ofc only includes the PD if you are buying glasses from their ofc. I've never had an eye appt where they leave off info to prevent you from buying glasses somewhere else. Yes, Eastern Eye will do your PD but that was a separate trip to their ofc and only after I tried to get glasses elsewhere. They should inform folks that they do not include the PD for your prescription- that way we don't have to waste our time going to their office--twice. There are too many other more professional eye doctors in town, I do not need this eye office at all.
