We found the room on a discounted travel and booking website for £34.90. Which considering its proximity to new street (a 30 minute walk) and the time of year was a very reasonable price.
Everything about the hotel was average, the furniture was plane, walls were white wash with that bobbly texture that was all the rage decades ago. Checkout staff were courteous enough but not too much to appear creepy ad false which can happen is some luxury places.
At £34.90 for the room with 2 people sharing it was a bargain. I wouldn't pay the normal £69 they advertise on there own website however. The breakfast was extra which we didn't partake in.
It also had secure parking and a 24 hour reception.
If I were to holiday for anymore than 2 days on Birmingham I probably would not choose this place because as I mentioned the lack of furnishings could give off a cold vibe. But for somewhere to stay so you can go out without worrying about transport home it's perfect for it. read more
