This place is for anyone looking to become a healthier version of themselves. To be honest, I was only going to do the 5 week challenge and walk away, but I couldn't. This camp is a place to put your heath/strength/weight loss/ endurance goals on the table and the coaches will aid in helping you reach your full potential. I started in Feb 2018 and guess what....IM STILL GOING. Why? Because THIS PLACE honestly has given a new light on working out, the coaches (Jess/Sergio) CARE about you, they push your limits and they adjust when needed. Previous injuries, pains, low endurance - they HELP coach you beyond what you believe your capabilities are. They see your limits, they get to know you....they completely empower you. Not only did I stay for the staff, the "walk-in workouts" that I never have to prep for (cause guess what, you walk in and it's set up) but I stayed for the new found friends I've made that share all the same hurdles in life! I first joined the 5 week challenge in June 2017. The coaches really pay attention to you to make sure you're properly doing the work out. The work outs are always challenging, but it's very doable. The workouts consist of high intensity, cardio, and weight training. It's always different, so you'll never know what to expect every time. By the end of workout, you'll have a good sweat. Coach CJ is the main coach at this location. He is a great coach, who truly enjoys helping others meet their fitness goals. He really gets to know each member. He is very approachable and you can ask always ask him questions. I've really enjoyed his workouts. I've also met other coaches - Levi, Jessica, & Cesar. They are all friendly and come up with fun workouts. Whether it's adding more weights or to keep pushing through a workout, the coaches motivate members to do their best. Also, shout out to Melanie. As soon as I walked in through there doors and finished my first workout I was hooked. I have a busy schedule and nothing beats just showing up to Camp Xcel and not having to think what workouts I will do today because the coaches already have everything setup and ready to go. I had been going to the gym for years but after having a baby and not being able to lose the baby weight on my own I decided to do the 5 week challenge. It was the best decision ever! I not only lost the baby weight I lost an additional 20 pounds and gained a lot of muscle strength. I am in the best shape I have ever been. Camp Xcel has become my 2nd home. When I first started w/boot camp 1yr 4 month, I was a little bit skeptical about the camp. But after my challenge I was hook I couldn't stop, now it's my second home, my fitfam. I have met incrediable people that motivate each other and we push each other, and the coaches are the best! :-) they help you if you have any injuries. I'd my sciatic nerve the would bend me down with pain. The coaches had modify my workouts, where it will reversed the pain. After a year I am pain free. I do push myself to the next level. Results, results, results! When I first started 2 months ago I had hit a plateau in my fitness. I was working out 5 or 6 times a week (yoga, pilates, booty barre, spin class and running) but I wad gradually gaining weight and not looking my best. I tried switching it up by going to the gym and trying to figure out the machines and I even ordered a fitness routine but that only frustrated me more because when I did them I hardlt sweated. I didn't feel fit and I wasn't being challenged. A friend of mine did the 5 week challengeat CampXcel a year ago and lost about 30 or 40 lbs. And looked amazing!! She had always encouraged me to go but I was intimidated with videos I saw of how they worked out and because they used weights. This year I said "I have to do something more challenging!!" to get my motivation and fitness level higher again. Also, I was starting to become a bitter betty since I couldn't fit in any cute outfits and I would portray my insecurities in my dating attitude I signed up with no hesitation because I knew this is a place of results. Right before the first session I was sooo nervous and scared lol!! But I soon realized that the environment is friendly and as a team. The coach knows what he's doing and talking about. You can tell he gives routines that he tested and challenges himself physically too. I knew by the receptionist, the coach and the regular members attitude towards the workouts and gym that this is what I needed and had been searching for. After my first workout I realized that "hey, it is hard. It's challenging! But its not impossible and it isnt going to kill me." I'm extremely happy with my endurance and strength right now and I will keep going. The results speak for themselves and I feel great. I'm investing time on myself everyday when I go workout and I know that I'm aiming towards my fitness goals when before I had a vision of it but felt so lost. I jointed Camp Xcel in January as my New Years resolution to get fit. After my month trial, I decided to sign up for a years membership. As I approach my third month the only regret I have is not joining sooner. The classes are challenging, but the feeling you get after completing your 50 minute workout is amazing. This is a great place to workout for all skill levels. I've been coming here for about 5 months and have lost over 25 pounds. The first day I went to a session I wanted to cry because I was so out of shape, but they made me want to keep coming back and I'm glad I did. I started about 9 months ago truly not knowing what to expect. The minute I walked in thru those doors it's a whole level of energy, encouragement and motivation. The coaches are great! You can tell they love what they do. I've had the pleasure of being trained by Coach CJ for about 6-7 months now. I love it and wouldn't have it any other way! As a coach he's the best! He will always challenge, encourage and bring out the BEAST in you! It's a love and hate relationship, I like to say. While the session I hate that I'm uncomfortable but goodness! I love the results!
