Coach Alex made sure to maximize all his time with the kids and kept them dribbling to the last minute. He was dedicated and ensured all the players were learning key skills and having a fun time. That was fine-it's his first summer job and I thought it would be good experience for him. The good: he and all of his friends were "hired". Talk about exciting. The Bad: Communication from Legarza made tons of promises for next steps, which included emails, background checks, and other requirements. None of this ever came. As a lesson to my son for how to handle this as he grows up, I had him send an email politely asking where all of the emails were. They didn't answer, ever. After a few weeks of waiting, I called them and asked what the issue was, since they offered my son and several other friends a job and then never followed through. I was told they would run it all the way to the top and find out what was going on. Shocker-I've never received a call, he and his friends mostly have never heard from Legarza, though one friend had a week's worth of work at one camp. This place is garbage, and they don't follow through with promises to teenagers or their guardians when they just need to get straight information from them.

Billy Jones Railroad is located within a larger park so there are several playgrounds and lots of open, grassy picnic areas or picnic tables to enjoy some lunch or snacks outside.
