Peaceful, beautiful. Close to downtown Knoxville. Planning on coming back for a week in the summer.

The road getting up here is kind of jacked up and narrow by housing. I saw this place on facebook…read morelast year but didn't get to check the out last summer. They have bathrooms but were all closed up where I went. I asked a local business if they are just open during summer and they said it actually just re-opened last summer. I asked if the rumor of dead bodies was true and they said that yes there were lots of dead bodies found here from jumping off the rocks or getting stuck in the rocks deep down below. But anyways, on the opposite side of the story.. there are plenty of floating docks for people to chill on during summer. Just sitting there listening to the bird was very peaceful.. gorgeous view.

This is a really cool hiking spot. The fort itself ain't all that but if you are looking for a spot…read moreto hike with a nice view and hood destination at the end it's a nice spot We parked at the first lot on fort Dickerson road and then went up the path to the left. It's well maintained in the most part (one fallen tree but nothing too difficult to get around). It's about a mile ish there and back but drops you at an old quarry with amazing blue water that you can swim in or kayak. 5/5 would recommend to a friend!

Fort Dickerson Park - This was not the trail to the top, so I waited here until I was found by the right companion.
