Unfortunately it snowed while we were there so it kept us inside a bit more than usual but when the sun came out, the kids couldn't stop exploring and climbing. Don't get me wrong, it was absolutely amazing even with a little snow it just made it a bit too cold to sit out and enjoy the night air. We were visiting from California so my only complaint was that it was so far from home - only because it would absolutely be one of our go to regular spots for a weekend trip if not so far. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever in the area!

We first stopped at the…read morelower lake since the upper area was pretty busy, but quickly learned that the lower lake is lure fishing only--no bait allowed. So, we made our way back up to the upper lake, where bait is permitted. The upper lake was fairly crowded and a bit noisy (sound really carries there), but it's a beautiful spot overall--small, peaceful, and scenic. We stayed for about two hours, didn't catch anything, but did spot a few fish swimming around. Still a pleasant visit!

There is some boating/kayaking allowed. Boat ramps, some playground equipment, picnic tables. It costs to get in, but you can buy an annual pass which gets you into other parks in the area. We love coming here when we're in the area.

There are tons of great hikes in this National Forest Service operated recreational area plus a…read morepretty small lake for fishing and a campground. We hiked a loop trail of the Willow trail (#347), the Mint Wash trail (#345) and 351, parking at the Wekuvde picnic area. On a Monday in September we only saw three other people on the trail until we came to Granite Basin Lake where there was one large group and a couple small groups picnicking. The Willow trail is beautiful, traversing gentle up and down areas of pine woodlands with 180 degree views west, north and east and has partial shade. The post monsoon wildflowers were in full bloom. The route back along Mint Wash was also lovely with 5 or 6 creek crossings, boulders, flowers and Granite Mountain views. The is a $5 parking fee for day use, or it is free with an America the Beautiful National Park pass.

Creek and streams and little lakes here and there being a much appreciated addition of beauty and life to this area! Very helpful & ready to tell you any helpful information you need while staying. We left a night early because my daughter rented the amount of days just in case we wanted to stay longer. Yet the 25th(today) is my 54th birthday & I was ready to be home for the week. We came home very rested with plenty of beautiful pics & cool experiences to tell friends & family.

I've been to Lynx Lake a few times, and this recent visit was pretty similar to my past…read moreexperiences. I'm giving it a 3-star review mainly because the lake has recently been drained and they want it to refill naturally, so it's unclear when water levels will return to normal. There is also a $5 day-use fee to enter the park. You can pay cash or card. Currently, the park opens at 7:00 AM and the gates close at 5:00 PM. The trail around the lake is about 2.5 miles and offers a few different routes, including at least one path that leads to a small waterfall (or what would be a waterfall if the lake wasn't drained). The west side of the lake is more paved and level, making it easier for walking, while the east side is more rugged with a dirt trail. One thing to add, the bathrooms were clean, but they had smell in them was hard to ignore and really unpleasant. Overall, it's still a nice area for a casual walk around the lake, especially if you're in the area.

Campsite had a fire pit and picnic table. They had bathrooms which I'll be honest, I've never seen so many flies at once. You open the door and they fly right out at you like a movie lol. We also encountered three bears around 10:30pm. We didn't know there were bears in the area. They did have a post by the bathroom on how to be "bear aware" but nothing about sightings, so I thought I'd warn here. I'm pretty sure it was a mom and two cubs. Overall would stay here again!

The laundry services have been down for three months. The average camper spends $20/month for laundry services so the Park should giive everyone $20 instead of increasing the rent $20.

The bathrooms were spacious, and there is a trail directly behind the park that leads out to Willow Lake and a plethora of trails for the trail runner/hiker/explorer. They had great wi-fi and the area has lots of trees and shade and picnic tables too! We actually arrived late for check-in the the office left our our map and information for us. We had a 30' RV we wanted to pull through and had no problems with this park. I'd recommend a stop-in here for sure! Their neat little tent-camp sites were even closer to the lake and the trails.

I absolutely love this place, its away from the city (which we are from Phx), the weather is cooler, and the scenery is beautiful. The owners Ella and Mike are super down to earth and kind. When you rent the guest house, they provide you with farm fresh eggs, bread, bacon, orange juice; basic breakfast food. So if you come multiple days you do need to bring own food and cook yourself but it's not bad at all. The house is filled with all cooking utensils and its clean. They also have an outdoor kitchen right next to the house which is super cool and glows with lights at night time. The best part about this place is the beautiful lake nearby that you can easily spend an entire day at, either swimming, fishing, boating. It's really just amazing and I highly reccomend.
