Beautiful peaceful location, The lake is clear and clean. Great family camping sites if you want to feel like you are right in nature.

-Unless your have a "newer" camper, no kids and no pets - I would choose another place. They do not accept campers less than 10 years old (NOT NOTED ON THE WEBSITE), and even though they accept kids, and dogs.... the RULES are very restricted on all. When we pulled in our spot, our "neighbors" heard our conversations about our "Issues" and they told us they were leaving early and a family they had come there with (in a different camper) had already left early as well. I will not share 'their" stories, as it was not mine. But, our experience with the staff at this resort was less than impressive.... very strict in every way. *I get it it - everyone needs to set rules, but #1 list them, #2 be kind when enforcing them, #3 know the whole story before jumping down people's back for not obeying rules that are not known. The camp ground is lovely and well maintained - camp workers are working ALL THE TIME - *lots of noise. The lake is nice, but there is a public entry to the lake off the road too. Main camp bathrooms/showers are clean. Port-O Potty's were maintained pretty well. Main issue was with staff's attitude. read more

Not a resort. Small gravel slips, the grassy grounds are NOT maintained and the extended-stay options make this place look like a trailer park. No signs within the park, so don't expect to know where the hell you're going. The swimming beach is fair, but look at the lake bed and you'll see where all the people fishing have dumped their fish heads and fish guts. Gross. Also, someone stole my sister's kayak. VERY disappointed in the campground that has been turned into a very dilapidated full time RV park! They should just go all in and be a trailer park, because that what 90% of it is. Poorly maintained; facilities are shabby at best, I can't even imagine tent campers squeezed in right behind the few spots for visiting RV's must be nightmare. We were a group of 7 ; all RV's and altho we had a good time being together & grateful it was early in season and tent camping spots right in back of us were empty. OUT HOUSES by the small lake access seriously! the bathroom w/showers is up front by the office and not easily accessible to the 'campers'. Grossly overcharged on rates too. We all just shook our heads, as among us there is alot of experience with all kinds of camping grounds. Will not return and only reason I am taking time to write a review is to save another camper the mistake of going there. This is the email I sent to the Camp Ki Resort website: Hi, A group of us recently stayed at your camping facility April 11-14th. How disappointing it was. Cost was too high for what you deliver and it was 90% filled with full timers and in very poor site conditions, shame on you for advertising falsely. I don't usually post reviews, but will on your facility, so others like ourselves will atleast have a truthful representation of your camp sites before booking. We called early on Thursday of our check in to see if we could arrive earlier than 2pm. we were told the sites were full (highly doubt that was truthful) and that you needed from Noon - 2pm to allow for clean up before we checked in. Well that is also hard to believe because each of us found garbage; toys; cigarette butts in our sites; wood pits were not cleaned out, perhaps we misunderstood what 'cleaning up' means, but was disappointing. Fortunately the tent sites right behind each RV site were empty or that would have really been interesting; and would be hard to imagine where the tenters would 1. park their vehicles and 2. how would they access their sites w/o passing through one of the RV sites? Poorly layed out. Obvious that little or no maintenance or up keep of the few sites for visitors is being maintained. The few garbage cans located close to our sites were all smashed up; lids look like they get run over often,.......overall poorly maintained grounds. Perhaps you should just commit to full-timers, since the few sites you have available to rent to visitors is in the way back of your property, no easy access to the bathroom w/showers, other than the outhouses stored right at the lake side, seriously? I found the big dumpster tucked back in by all the full-timers and it was full to overflowing and looked as if it hadn't been dumped in a very long time. We used to LOVE this place! We've spent 4 summers in a row at Lake Ki Campground, this last time for a full week. Unfortunately it may be our last time..... Lake Ki is just far enough from home (Gold Bar) that we still feel like we're getting away, but not so far that it takes ALL DAY to get there. The lake is beautifully clear & serene. Watching the sunset in the evening is so relaxing, as is the layer of fog that lays on the lake early in the morning as the first fishermen make their way out. That said, there's been a change in management & unfortunately they're doing it wrong. They've raised the prices & added a lot of strict rules that make it not so much fun anymore. For example, we couldn't even bring our dog this last year cuz she wasn't allowed at the beach. Who doesn't bring their dog camping?! They also charge extra for a second car, so even though we're 2 adults with 4 kids & my boyfriend had to meet us there cuz he had to work, we had to pay $10 per day for his car.... Even if it fit IN our campsite! I had a friend from out of town visiting for a night. She slept in our already-erected tent, not taking up any more space or resources at the site we already paid for. We also had to pay $10 for her car to be parked IN OUR SITE overnight. We've had the same campsite for 3 years, back in the corner along the fenceline. It was a great secluded spot back in the shade & away from other campers. Well when the new owners took over, they've decided to add extra sites all over the campground to make more money, so the spot that we had for 3 years was now cut in half & would be right next to other campers. They also changed the numbering to add in these extra sites, so the site that I reserved was no longer where it used to be. We were really disappointed upon arriving & finding someone else in our site, but we settled for a spot in the grass since the whole place was booked. The gal told us we could have our original spot back after everyone cleared out for the weekend, but who wants to pack up a campsite & move it 50 ft after two days? Not me.... So we stayed in the grass for the week. It was mostly ok, except it felt like we were camping in the middle of the International District with all the loud ethnic music & crowds of people speaking foreign languages. I guess everyone loves to camp. One of the families was celebrating an anniversary & had probably over 100 guests (that must've cost a fortune at $10 per car). They were playing very loud music the entire time & dancing around in their native garb. I didn't really have a problem with them until they all decided a photo op on the dock would be a good idea. How many Polish people does it take to break a dock? That many..... Luckily it was a fairly quick fix & we were able to use the dock late the following day. For the most part I really enjoy Lake Ki Campground. I feel safe letting our four kids & their friends wander the campground, the playground is clearly visible from our campsite & the plumbed restrooms are just a quick walk up the hill with nice hot showers available. But with all the new, negative changes, you may as well go to a State Park. read more

Pricing is high and there's only one small lake access. Port a pots and not up kept. The employees are not helpful and rude. Policies are not clear, even though it seems like they're extremely strict with them. I would not recommend this "resort" to anyone. read more

My family and I stayed here for 6 months while I was on a work assignment and absolutely loved it. Fair prices, clean laundry and bathroom/shower areas, and a playground for the kids. The area is beautiful with just enough shopping nearby. They were very accommodating and we always felt welcome to speak with the managers (?) whenever we had a concern. We would recommend this park for both short and long term stays! read more

I have been at Lake Ki for almost a year now, it is a beautiful lake. What I find outrageous are the onsite custodians/management, they turn a blind eye to some of their all residents who portrait themselves to other guests as resort security (doesn't exist) or as resort employees. They use this process as a method to "fish" for items to steal. They have gone to the point of "selling" guests bundles of firewood during the after hour periods. Other all year residents refer to them as the resorts nocturnal wild life. The nocturnal wild life has gained the trust and confidence of the on-site management. They are able to have multiple people stay on-site at no cost, deal drugs, disobey state bands and laws, steal property, race around the resort on golf carts and children race on handicap carts. The sad piece is with actions of the on-site management retaliation on those that defy their authority, especially if the new owners are made aware of situations. Another item that is diconcerning, should mail be received at this physical address for a guest (especial that of an all year) the on-site mgmt fails to make the guest aware of the mail received for them. I had a package that was erronously addressed to this resort, it sat in the office for over a week; this was after speaking with the onsite mgmt twice during the week. The package contain medical supplies, I should be thankful it wasn't a matter of life or death. This wasn't the first time this mail holding has happened, the last time they had a letter for 6 months before I received it. The resort would be fabulous if the owners would replace the on-site mgmt and rid the resort of the all year residents that are referred to as the nocturnal wild life. All residents are aware of when the owners are onsite, the nocturnal wild life receive their customary text to remain inside. Yes, they do need to restructure their pricing techniques. read more

We were very disappointed in this campground. It has turned into a dilapidated park for full time RV's. At least 90% of the park has been turned over to full time trailers. The park is poorly maintained; facilities are shabby, and the sites are unkept. Although we were denied access until 2:00pm so they could clean up the area; we found garbage, toys and cigarette butts in our sites. The fire pits were not cleaned out. Tent campers are squeezed in right behind the few RV spots and would have to walk through our area to access their sites. They only provide outhouses in the area where we were; which was by the lake. The bathroom w/showers is up front by the office and not easily accessible to the 'campers'. The rates seemed very high for the service provided. We are an experienced group of 7 RV travelers with a mixture of trailers, motorhomes and 5th wheels. We are used to most any kind of campgrounds. Will not return be returning here. read more

After many years of frequenting this resort with my family we will never be back. The management are like miserable gas station workers, very rude. I went on a Monday to with 4 adults and my twin 1 year Olds in one vehicle, I was told we needed two campsites to accommodate our party, we weren't even going to stay the night. I was fine with that but the lady treated me with such disdain I said forget it, we went to the public park instead. read more

Lake Ki has been my families favorite summer getaway for years now. We live across the street from Lake Stevens but we make the longer trip because Lake Ki is so clean and peaceful. It is a place where my kids roam free and the adults can have a good time without people complaining. The setting is much more laid-back than the state parks. However at the end of last summer new management took over. They are very nice people but they are making some very big mistakes. We are no longer allowed to take our dogs down to the beach with us which makes us very sad. Also the day use price has gone from $5 to $10 which is way too expensive. They don't even offer a season pass. We used to go at least once a week with at least three cars now we can barely afford to go once a month. I hope that they make some changes so we can continue to enjoy this lake for many more summers! read more

We stayed for a long weekend in May, and despite one day of rain had a great time. Beautiful little lake, quiet with no motorboats allowed. Nice fishing pier, reasonable price for full hookups, and helpful staff. If you need to buy anything there is a big shopping center only 10 minutes away, and a fantastic little burger joint just down the road. For a first timer, watch for the sign, it's easy to miss. read more

This was our first time camping at this site. I have pros and cons about this. First, pros: the site that we were at was right next to the lake and the view was awesome. Now granted that we camped here in December and there wasn't a huge amount of people right next to the lake; there were lots of other people camping all around the site. We pulled in as it was getting dark and the site itself is not lit well so that you can tell it's Camp Ki. There is a small sign, it would be helpful if mgmt. could invest have this in place. The road leading up to the camp site is dark and woodsy, hence my comments. There was no one in place to greet us, there was a place where someone should have been but it's a down time and this is why. There were signs telling you to pick a site if it's open and to help yourself; there was one envelope and a clipboard to assist with this. There was also a number to call, which is what we did to let someone know we had arrived. We found our way down to the site and were really pleased on the location. Granted, this site is probably very popular during summer, so this is why we were able to get this one. The sites are graveled and well maintained. I wasn't a fan of the port o' potties that were in place right by the lake, there are no other bathrooms available other than the ones right by the entrance, which also house showers too. We didn't check these out much since we were in a 32 ft trailer and had full hookups. It would be nice to have other bathrooms available in this area. There is a swimming area near by and a small dock to walk out on. Again, the view is beautiful and peaceful. Cons: There is no store onsite in case you forget anything, also you are charged for extra adults and for extra vehicles. This seems a bit much. I'd like to come back during the summer to see how this works and how much we like this place then. It was very convenient for us since we were going to see the Xmas lights in place and it only took 10 minutes for us to get there. The town isn't far either and we found a killer burger joint not too far from the site. All in all, it took us an hour to get here and that works for us. The people who actually were in place at the office the next day were very nice. We'll be back. read more

Air streams and Winnebagos only! Others need not bother. If you don't have an expensive RV or what is classified an RV your not good enough for Lake Ki. Our recent experience was not a good one not even close. No pros here all cons. My husband and I have been traveling all over since April 2017 and stayed in many different places and never had an issue. We decided as retired military traveling for a while to stay local to be close to our kids for the winter. So we contacted Lake Ki and spoke with a girl in the office, received an application that needed to be approved by management. Filled it out and brought it back the next day. Spoke with the guy "that runs the resort". Gave him our application and our $20 fee to process. He looked it over and asked about our trailer after I clearly wrote on the application that we had a "ATC Raven cargo trailer" even crossed out the word RV and wrote trailer. My husband told the guy that runs the place all about how we converted a cargo trailer into an RV. Honestly I don't think he even was listening because he was in a hurry to get back to what he was doing-- did I mention we called 4 times and showed up 3 times before we actually seen a person who worked there? Anyway-- we went to the coast for three weeks and told them the date we would return to stay for the winter. No problem they held the site we wanted. Maybe that's the one pro.... I can find.. I called a couple days prior to arriving just to check in- again talking to the man who runs it. All was good! We arrived early Sunday morning- office said open but again no one was there anywhere. So we called the # on the door and left a VM. Went and set up our site and waited until mid day still no office help. No way to get into the restroom without a code- that was unfortunate. The next day my husband finally seen a worker and asked about check in we were told that the guy who runs the place has all our paperwork and he would check us in when we came back. Sooooo after 3 days we finally seen and met the GUY. And at that point we're told that our trailer was not an RV and would not be welcomed or allowed to stay in the long term RV sites. But that we could "camp" there in a tent site and pay day rates not the discounted long term rates. We tried to argue the fact that our trailer was a fully functional RV and even tried to show him... nope sorry "my boss would say that's not a real trailer so you can't stay" and he would get into trouble for allowing us to stay there. That would have been great to know 3 weeks prior when we gave you the application and told you what kind of trailer we had. Soooo we had no choice but to leave-- leave where we had no idea for this was our plan for the winter. Thank you Lake Ki for your horrible customer service and for ruining our opportunity to stay close to our children for the winter. As all other places are full or closed in this area for the winter. We will never go back and we will make it a point to pass the word about your acts of discrimination towards us. And seriously.... some of the trailer trash that lives there make our trailer look like it's worth a million dollars. Stupidity just plain stupidity! read more

It may be cold out as I write this but I am already looking forward to this summer when I will be going back!!! Looking forward to siting around the camp fire and jumping in the incredible clear water. The wash rooms were just remodeled and are very nice! If you have paddle boards bring them... this is a great spot to paddle and keep an eye out for the resident eagle :) read more

We ended up tent camping here at the last minute and it turned out to be a great experience. The staff was very friendly, the sites were clean (a little close together but not too close for comfort), bathroom/shower facility was not glamorous, but clean (8 minute hot showers for $1) and the lake was awesome for us and our little kids - very clean water with lots of shallow wading area. Unlike that other reviewer, I thought the campground was pretty quiet - yes, it's near a road but that's obvious and we hardly noticed any traffic noise. The only downside was a handful of very loud groups who kept at it until 3 am. The staff finally kicked them out and the 2nd night was much more peaceful. As for a few RVs that seem to reside there, it didn't bother us and they seemed like nice people just keeping to themselves and not playing loud "butt rock music." I would definitely take my family camping there again - great for little kids. read more

I would not use this campground if it was the last one around!! I booked my reservation for FULL hook ups 2 months prior to my trip I gave them the size of my rig as requested, I even called the morning I was to arrive to ensure my spot was correct. when I got there the individual working the window cold not find my reservation and tried to put me into a group site with NO hook ups. after about 15 min of arguing I was found but only temporary she had to call someone since the space was too small for my rig. As if this was not enough I was informed I could use that spot if I could get my trailer in but there was a real good chance I would not get it out. So the front desk person decided they could put me in an open field with no hookups for the same price just run electric from someone Else's site. As all of this was going on my family went to the restrooms only to find NO locks on the doors. When the desk was informed the reply was what do you want me to do just hold the door closed. I recommend looking into Walmart parking lot before this place. read more
