We came to see Filipiñiana, and from the moment we walked in, the experience felt welcoming. We were greeted right away when we entered, and the staff continued to be friendly throughout our visit. Even when we stopped for popcorn, the service was warm and personable. And speaking of the popcorn... it was honestly some of the best movie theater popcorn I've had! Before entering the auditorium, another staff member greeted us and pointed us in the right direction, which was a nice touch. The theater itself has the traditional upright seats you'd expect from an older cinema rather than the large recliners found in newer theaters. I actually found them quite comfortable, and they fit the intimate, classic feel of the theater perfectly. Overall, I really enjoyed my first experience at The Grand Cinema. I love that it offers an opportunity to see independent and less mainstream films in such a welcoming environment. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on what's playing here and look forward to coming back!

For example we watched a movie called Dead Lover quite recently and apparently a few people came from Seattle to see it as it was not playing at any of the movie theaters up there. They also had a movie called Frybread Face and Me which was a great Native American film and one I immensely enjoyed. Afterwards they had snacks and tea in the lounge which consisted of frybread. It was quite good! These event and film combinations are a lot of fun here and the more I come to The Grand the more my favorability grows with it. Definitely keep a close eye on the film schedule because some films are only screened one night and that's it.

Well guess what? Not only was the page NOT updated but Goodwill doesn't even offer the job training program any more. I emailed the address only to have it bounce back as undeliverable. I called the phone number connected with the job training program only to get an automated voice say that the call can not be connected which I might add was listed as the phone number to call on the Goodwill Milgard PDF page. Way to go Goodwill. Don't understand why the page could not have been updated, I had to waste my time emailing, calling a phone number that wasn't any good. I already am going through a difficult time REAL difficult. I feel that this organization could care less. It's public school all over again. Is it because that you are funded & you have this callous "who cares" attitude? Yet I'm shamed because I don't have a job. The receptionist at Goodwill sure wasn't helpful. Want to know what she said to me when I asked her about the program I was interested in, and she said that the program wasn't offered anymore. I grew a bit irritated, then I was silent.
