In our contract/set up plan, they had written 250 chairs and stated they would be able to fit 10 guest per table, and that I could bring the banquet permit the day of the reception. 2 days before the wedding, they call me stating that they cannot fit 10 guests per table and that they could not have 250 guests in the venue. They also needed the banquet permit at least a week in advance. They were extremely rude over the phone and in person. Only provided 230 chairs, not the 250 they promised us. And continued to state that "i don't know who is telling you this information about the guest count and what not but that's not how we do it" . They never apologized for the inconvenience or anything. I explained we would have never booked with them if they could not do 250 guests. But they kept raising their voice repeating the same thing "I don't know what to tell you. That's not how we run things" . I would NEVER recommend this place. Ever. To anyone. As a daughter of a retired vet, it disappoints me that they would treat customers the way they treated me and my family the day of my wedding date. But since I have to have 1 star, I give it to the worker, Joe. He was the ONLY person who would help us get things done. Management was awful. But joe was awesome. Thank you Joe.

It's been a great place for furniture. We have two chairs in our living room from St. Vincent. Best of all is the courteous staff. Clean restrooms, and I always get an ice cold Coke from the machine (cheaper than at any grocery store).

Age ranged: 18+…read more Everything is horrible now. 5am lights cut on. 6am everyone gets up. Be out by 7. No matter if there is weather, rain, snow, and hail you have to be outside. 7:30am comes. Breakfast. Now it's a hit or miss but it's food so I can't complain and thankful for the volunteers. But it's what happens after breakfast which I will now explain my big issue. The men's side has a day room. Harsh weather hits hard sometimes and all of 60+ aged or disabled (with paper proof) can be the only ones inside. Everyone else has to leave the premises. I was 18 when I went there which was a huge mistake. Standing outside in the weather for long periods of time. A 20 million dollar building being made but treats the residents like sh**. Not even that but the women's side, so small compared to the men's which they have access to the fridge, kitchen, more and more things. You would think that if you have 20 million dollars you would put 10 million into each for expanding both since more women are going and experiencing homelessness. But no. Not at all. They play favorites here so badly. It took my friend who is a man 2 months to get a place. Ive been there for over 3 months left after my 3 month mark and an additional 2 months to still not even get help when I had a good paying job. They go based off of favorites and who they like more to actually use the money that is being funneled into this organization. That's the thing, all of this money, all of these resources and not once do anyone see or ever hear about these resources. You could go to TRM right NOW and ask any of the residents and they will say the same. They don't do events, most times the food is cold or you could pick up grits with your thumb and index finger. If they were actually using their money to help their residents, why is it that I met women who been there for over 5 years who had been trying to leave that place? Then it started to click. This place doesn't want you to thrive but they keep you there. But anyways 5:00pm comes, dinner is served. 6:00 is here, some if not most of the men goes inside, women's side has to wait until 6:30. And if the bell get rung before 6:30 for whatever reason they make you wait outside as punishment for a few extra minutes. That's true and you can ask about it. 6:30 hits, go inside, shower, dress up, get ready to sleep. Then 8 hits. Lights out. If you do have a dog allergy then I feel heavily bad for you.

Mission supervisor, Julius L, is a literal life-saver, and without him, I wouldn't have thought to…read moreleave a review at all. He patiently listens to each person that reaches out to him, no matter who they are, and he's swift at creating and executing effective solutions to challenging situations, whether they're individual or interpersonal conflicts, or problems clients may have with the Mission, itself. Julius is also very diplomatic, and is able to restore peace and order to a disorderly crowd without raising his voice or putting his hands on people. He genuinely cares about everyone that walks through the Mission doors, and you can tell just by looking at him that his position isn't just a job to him. He's a big asset to his organization.

Somehow the staff seemed okay "locking" people away instead of helping them become independent and have agency over their life. I was told I might have to be there for 3 weeks and face court. Instead, I got let go at the 1 week mark because lo and behold I became stable and healthy. Just be wary and cautious of their tactics to "help" people get better. Other than that, their staff was extremely kind. It was just really weird dealing with being locked in but also being taken care of. I understand the nature of the job, but insurance only covers so much :/ i couldn't imagine staying another 2 weeks or going to court over my autonomy.

I don't believe a child has ever been stolen, wow. The staff is loving, caring and professional at all times. The care that children get here far surpasses anywhere else. This is an establishment that goes above and beyond on a daily basis, not only do they make sure that every child is in excellent care, they go beyond expectations when it comes down to giving back to and being a strong pillar of support in the community. This is not a corporate type for profit center, you know the franchise names- this is a family owned and ran center. Their hearts and hands go into making this an excellent choice for anyone considering or needing excellent quality care for their children. Yes parking maybe tight, but it's an urban area and that's just par for the course.
