Hello beautiful!
Wes S.

Sure this lake really isnt that big, kind of expensive(what lake isnt) and the camp spots are kind of ragged/small/nasty. BUT DAMN it is so awesome to hang out in quarter mile cove and watch the boats get freaking crazy. We happen to get lucky on Cinco de Mayo weekend and had TONS of hot rods out there. Forget that the world is going to run out of oil/fuel someday, this was all about seeing how fast they could dump gas in a matter of heartbeats. The rumbling of the engines alone was worth the price of admission. I was either smiling, yelling, getting warm fuzzy feelings, sporting wood or dreaming of having a new boat while watching these monsters. Cant wait to go back this summer, if and when the sun actually comes out this year. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kDYZQ-XAGn0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAqO16JdVq4

Its somewhere to go...very dusty, trails are just dirt and rocks not paved or even base rock ...your vehicle will get filthy

Prices are decent and campgrounds are usually pretty clean, but I try to avoid the restrooms. The water is a nice enjoyable temperature throughout most of summer and this lake isn't as crowded as Folsom or some other lakes around. Would recommend.

I bought a non-motorized boat ‍ this summer and I wanted to try it out before the summer escaped me. I decided to visit a local spot that had been recommended to me by a friend, but I am disappointed to report that it was everything BUT a good time. I arrived and checked in at the gate in order to pay my daily registration fees which were $15 for a day use pass for this private lake. The employee working at the station was extremely rude, not polite at all, and seemed rather irritated that they were working on a weekend. That should have tipped me off right there, but I proceeded down to the shore line. The shore is super muddy and rocky and the water smells terrible. It was such a hassle just trying to do anything on that shore and it was not an enjoyable experience to say the least. I am giving this two stars because the bathrooms were extremely clean and stocked with soap and toilet paper and all the trash cans were empty and ready for use. I will not return here and will find an alternate spot that is a better cost for what I end up getting in the end.

Love this place!! We come here every Fourth of July and Labor Day and the people in the front check-in are so friendly and if you decide to stay the night instead of just day-tripping, you can just pay at the end so you don't stress and can enjoy the rest of your trip. The bathrooms always have TP and don't smell, they take care of their trash cans and there's barely any bugs.

Customer service is ridiculously horrible. Almost comical how badly this place is run. Will not be returning.

This is the correct check in site location for when we go play jetski. It is a fun area.

Been going for years. Water levels were pretty low last couple visits but still a great camping spot for the family

Close to Lincoln and the water was cool, but the place has no trees, super dirty and just trashy. 15$ for day use

A nice Lake for boating. Smaller and less crowded than Folsom. Close to Lincoln and easy to get to.

Ask the Community - Camp Far West Lake

Do the boat races still happen here Fathers Day weekend?

Dumb question but Can we ride dirt bikes or atvs around the lake?

I'm honestly not sure

How long can you camp?

camp 3 full days

How do I make a reservation? I called the numbers thats given multiple times?

The folks live on property and I know they have winter hours. I would try them on Saturday.

Can I dock my boat in front of my campsite here?

Yes, as long as your campsite is by the lake.
