My fifteen year old son completed his second camp with Dustin and his team of Aggies (Whoop!) a few…read moreweeks ago. His first experience was last summer and he is hooked. Both years have taken him one step closer to independence and maturity using masculine fun laced with grit. It is tough, hot, grueling but also engaging, unique, and cultivating as these boys come back more mature and tougher because of this experience. It is refreshing to have this opportunity available to help prepare to launch my son into the real world through these expeditions. My son was exposed to survival skills, camping, leadership, team work, various tactics, orienteering, land navigation, knot tying, knife handling, shelter building, night navigation, geocaching, fire building, capture the flag, laser tag, first aid, basic self defense, swimming, planning and completing hikes, survival skills, etc. over the course of five days and four nights. Surely my son will think back on his encounter with Squad Stx Boys Camp and be grateful for the chance at such a fantastic venture.

Actually the first e-mail was not even replied to. The second e-mail was slightly better only in the fact they replied. I highly would NOT recommend this camping site.

If you are used to ruffing it, then this is probably a good place to be. However, not me. The rooms…read morethat we stayed in were Motel 6 at best. The beds were hard and not comfortable. The cafeteria food was just that. Remember the lunch when you were in school, back in the day or the TV dinners that we had growing up? That is exactly what you will get. This may be a good place for young kids but as a grown up, I do not recommend unless you are a outdoorsy person. We went out as a group and it was definitely not up to our standards at all. The staff was nice and the activity that we did was fun, but again this really has to be for people that like to ruff it.

There were good activities here for them that included inside game play, full basketball court, archery, volleyball, workout area, and a huge lake area to name a few. I learned archery while I was here. I surprise myself Lol. The lake area has a huge water activity for people to enjoy. Sleeping arrangements are cabins (bunk beds twin size) with shared showers and restrooms. You share with the group you're with. What I didn't like was ALLL THE WALKING!!! OMG! Be prepared to do a lot of walking because a lot of the areas are spaced out with the lake being the longest walk. If you are here when the sun is frying you like I was, make sure you are drinking plenty of water!!

Very organized and the party area had plenty of seats, tables, and you can bring in any food you want. We had pizza delivered and staff was great to help. The building Spark was located within was also artsy and cool. Highly recommended! The only thing difficult was the parking. Be careful of no parking areas.

There was an art installation (similar or part of Meow) and so much fun to take a look at this vibrant and funky art. For Insta people, lots of fun photo opportunities! There is a giant steel structure/installation that has lots of space to climb in, slide through and explore. So much to see and we spent a good 60 mins of play there. Make sure to check the corners ( you're allowed to go in) so you don't miss anything. We almost missed an area. Also there is some areas to do some art as well. We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width. Parents with young children should follow, they literally can land up somewhere else and some areas they do need to climb up and might need help. Definetly wear sneakers. I wore the wrong shoes and couldn't go into certain areas. Great concept and fun!
