Camp Christmas was a colorful, glitter explosion of fun. We did the VIP Tour with Drag Artist, Dixie Krystals, who kept the group entertained while being informative about the exhibits. The care and creativity that goes into each exhibit by Lonnie Hanzon and other artists is incredible. Being a bad dad joke lover, I appreciated the Pun Trees that are throughout the exhibit. It's a wonderful feast for your eyes for the most wonderful time of the year.

We had a fun time at Camp Christmas! Pretty and quirky decorations we saw all of it in about 60-90 minutes. There was a bar inside with holiday themed drinks. Fun holiday activity and a great location at Stanley since there are many food, drink, and shopping options.

Camp Christmas is fun. This was our 3rd year visiting, I did enjoy it much more outside in Lakewood vs inside at Stanley. The Stanley location is still fun to explore but definitely go after dark. The exterior section with lights is just not the same experience in the daylight.

This was cute! I don't think I would pay for this holiday event again but it was a good one time visit. There was not a lot of interactive things to do and the drinks were expensive but everything looked nice! I probably would not go again unless I have someone visiting during the holiday season

What an amazing holiday art installation experience! Had so much photo op fun with friends and enjoyed being immersed in the festive themes of holiday. My marshmallow vodka shot was so cute! I heard that this will be the last year! What?!? No! I just got here! Please do it again!! So fun!!

Excellent! Camp Christmas is the perfect way to get into the spirit of the holiday. It's a unique, interactive art exhibit inside the Stanley marketplace. I recommend buying your tickets in advance because time slots do sell out. If you forget you can get tickets there. We lucked out and got the last two for the 5pm time slot on Black Friday. Parking is atrocious so if you buy your tickets in advance, I highly recommend getting there earlier just to figure out parking. If you do happen to have extra time, there are plenty of shops and restaurants inside the marketplace to kill time. Budget about 45 minutes to an hour to explore the camp. Be sure to dress warm as part of the exhibit is outside. There are two bars inside and I really recommend getting one of their festive cocktails as there are 'toasting' points throughout. There are also punny puzzles to solve, which make for a great laugh. Santa also comes to the camp so if you have little ones it's a good idea to add that in. Overall this is a super fun activity and I highly recommend it.

I love Christmas. As does my 3.5 year old son. As such, I wanted to take him to as many Christmas "events" as possible. I had seen Camp Christmas pop up on my Facebook feed and immediately this was THE one I wanted to really try to make happen. I started following the Instagram page and shared it with my husband and friends and let them know I wanted to go. We finally got the chance to go right after Christmas and I was so excited. Got my kid super excited as we were heading over as well. Needless to say, we were all severely underwhelmed. Between the description boasting that it's on 6 acres and the tons of photos posted on their Instagram, this place was tiny! They must have a really good publicity team because so many things that we saw were so small in person, and we literally saw everything in the pictures so once you got there it just wasn't all that exciting. There were several bars all throughout the exhibit, but the drinks were way overpriced and not at all strong. Most of the town was just buildings to look at, you could only actually enter a few of them. The rest you're just peeking into windows. The carousel is free, but is small and goes pretty fast so it can make people a lot more motion sick than most carousels. My kid rode once and then hesitated to go on again but did just for the sake of riding on "the sleigh". He's a carousel lover and usually will ask to ride over and over and over. The pun trees were a fun activity. I don't think they were well marked or described because it seemed like a handful of people were doing it and only when others saw and asked did they understand it was a thing, and by then it was too late to do them all without going back to the entrance and starting over. Overall, I would say this place would be a fun quick stop if you could get a good deal on tickets. But for $20 I would not go again.

Such a fun, interesting idea! I found it on a Google search whim and read through the website. I was searching for a fun holiday outing that was potentially geared towards more adult fun. I read multiple bars and drag queen tours - sign me up! I have to say - I love to research places before I go. Like in-depth stalker level 5. I want to know the vibes, what's in store, and what to expect. I thought I had it down before I got there. Wrong This was actually a gamified adventure - full of QR codes, badges, and storytelling. A live-action, interactive art installation - giving off amazing and awesome meow wolf vibes. I had no idea until we got there. Here's why I'm giving this review 4 stars. There is so much opportunity and potential here to make it more user-friendly. Initially on the website - put the paper map on there. Discuss the pun trees (their purpose), and the art installations (are they local artists? from burning man?) Have both the QR codes as an option and signage onsite as an option. It's cold at night and to constantly take our hands out of our gloves and disengage from the art and go into our phones, is a miss. Keep us in the art. Lastly for the suggestion box - Partner with sweets vendors at each of the candy houses (like the Museum of ice cream does) - while the candy installations were great - a little added candy-coated cheer would make the trek that much "sweeter.' I'll definitely be going back next year!

Definitely a neat place to bring the kiddos or check out for date night. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at Camp Christmas. Plenty of parking, well-lit, super friendly staff, spacious, and super quirky! The best part? The entire park smells like popcorn and mulled wine! Make sure to check out the repellent by the entrance and the boozy barn by the exit along with the historic houses along the way. And don't forget to stop and have a quick chat with the snowman comedian.

Last week, I wrote a review for one of the Miracle Bars in Denver. I wrote something to the extent of, "it's like walking inside a booze-filled Christmas present." Enter, Camp Christmas. It's not a bar (though they have two inside!), but rather an art installation amped up to 11. Never mind, 1000. If you are a jolly holly, festive go-getter, you need to hustle on over to Camp Christmas. ***Camp Christmas runs until Jan. 5th, 2020*** Located inside The Hangar at Stanley Marketplace, this holiday-themed exhibit brings out the inner child in all of us. Lights, lights EVERYWHERE! Reindeer, sleds, thousands of mini santas, the list goes on and on. Shoutout to our very own Blucifer for making an appearance! Tickets cost anywhere from $8-$21, you'll save a few shekels going on a weekday during an afternoon lull. Which I'd actually recommend since it's not overcrowded. Safe to assume this place would be a zoo on the weekends. It's fun, it's cheeky, and definitely worth checking out!

Christmas on crack! I went with a few friends of mine and absolutely loved it. So many opportunities for photos so it's an IG mecca. Do it for the gram, y'all. Lots of small little plaques to read and there are some fun fam friendly activities. There's a couple bars throughout that you can partake in that have some yummy winter-esque drinks. Overall I loved the lights and the decor. It looks like there was a lot of work put into this place and it shows! It's straight up Christmas gorgy.

Such a fun Christmas event! Grab your Field Guide and prep for a super fun, silly time! And, as you tour the eras and history behind the traditions associated with Christmas, you can enjoy yummy cocktails, conversations with strangers who feel more like friends by the end, and learn lots of cool, fun holiday facts. Don't rush this experience or you're bound to miss lots of playful details that only patience can reveal! And the decor, the thought, and the planning that went into this???! Wow. Priceless. We had such a great time - had great cocktails and tried to figure out the "Pun" riddles as we walked throughout Camp Christmas. Really, really well done.

This was our third annual visit to Camp Christmas-what a delight! This year's version is in a new venue, the Stanley Marketplace, and has the real advantage of being largely indoors. An eclectic mix of holiday schmaltz, puns to solve (so many puns!), and interactive elements that is hard to adequately describe but super fun to experience. Includes a bar with holiday drinks if that's your thing. Great for adults because there's lots of nostalgia and generational inside jokes and really fun way to kick off the holidays for children/families. Take some extra time to experience the shops and restaurants in the marketplace.

The current exhibition on Australian Indigenous Art "The Stars We Do Not See" is a stunning example of how much there is to gain and appreciate from going to see something you know nothing about. I particularly enjoy the tours, ongoing programs and lectures that the Museum offers. In conjunction with with the Aboriginal exhibit, the monthly "Mindful Looking" program offered a deep dive into one painting in that exhibit as a group of maybe 50 patrons listened in rapt attention as the curator of "The Stars We Do Not See" gave us a deep understanding of not only how that piece was made, but also its historical, symbolic and hidden perspectives. This is just a tiny slice of the education, amazement and enjoyment the Denver Art Museum has to offer. It's a treasure.

Although it has 3 floors, there's only 1-2 exhibitions per floor. The rooftop is also small & the outdoor city views are sort of limiting. So every few months or so, the theme is different & you can come back to see totally new artwork. It's really nice that they feature local artists that are Denver based and display their ideas & artistry to the world. Absolutely adore seeing kids express themselves through art, and their statements about their art were truly eloquent. Parking downtown sucks, as usual, but if you come on a Sunday you might be able to find a metered spot for free. I'm sure I'll be back, most likely for an event! I know I'll be recommending their teen program to some of my more artistic students.

If you've seen one, you understand the basic experience, though to really get what's going on, you have to see them all and do a lot of wandering and research. Denver's Convergence Station is the largest of the Meow Wolf complexes (I think) at over 90K square feet. For timed entry and a drink, it cost over 60 dollars (flexible entry is more expensive). I actually had to go twice because I was so overwhelmed and missed a large portion of the venue, even staying like three hours. The art is awesome. Lots of mysteries. Phone booths where you can call multiple numbers and get various weird clues. A neon castle. Tunnels to crawl through. Lots of climbing up stairs too (they have elevators if needed). You can stop by a bar in the Japanese-inspired "city" to grab a regular or boozy drink to take around with you. Lots of places to explore. You can touch everything (make sure to sanitize after you leave). Multi-media and diverse textures everywhere. Bright lights. Weeeeiiiiirrrrddd stuff. Aliens. Monsters. Sometimes if you time it right, their real life alien characters will make their way through the installation. I don't think there is any way to see or understand this installation in just one visit (they offer annual passes by the way). And honestly, you have to see all the other Meow Wolfs to really get the big picture (but it doesn't hamper your enjoyment or delight if you haven't). I will say that this version of Meow Wolf is a little more winding and convoluted than other smaller venues. Things don't connect quite as well. But still a good time. Employees are all helpful and cheerful. You can make this into as much or as little of a day as you like. And it's 100 percent worth it.

One of our favorite accomplishments was the pizza rat side quest. We ran into a couple other groups also clearly working to figure things out and helped each other out. We also enjoyed Discovering Teen Rex, which featured interactive exhibits for the kids. The biggest surprise was the Wildlife Halls on the second and third floors.
