Warning do not take a chance and use this Doggie Daycare. There is a reason other facilities are booked and this one has open availability. Both of my dogs came home violently sick last week with Bloody Diarrhea and vomiting which is highly contagious. They offered half of the 1K in vet bills I paid to bring them back. They refuse to take responsibility with their terms and policies. There have been other complaints and I wish I would have searched more of the sites before taking them here. I've been bringing my dog to Camp Bow Wow for years. Then one day they told me they had new ownership my dog had to go through the interview process again after she had passed previously. Granted my dog plays a little rough, but she's not aggressive to agree that she's trying to hurt any other dog. When I called to try to make a reservation, the management refused to speak to me on the phone and had one of the employees tell me she was no longer welcome to come there. My dogs Forest and Gump stay here all the time. They live in Myrtle Beach with my mom and whenever her and my Step-Father go on vacation-this is where they send them. They also go here during the day to play when my parents need to get stuff done in the house. Whenever they are there- I always log onto to website and watch them through the camera. The staff is always petting and playing with the dogs and taking great care of all of them. The establishment looks clean and the dogs are separated according to size. In order for a dog to stay here, they have to go through an "interview" process in which they see how your dog interacts with other dogs and the staff. My last trip to Myrtle was when my mom was on vacation- I decided to pick up the dogs myself where I finally had the chance to speak to some of the staff members who were all really sweet. It made me so happy when they told me how much they genuinely love my dogs and my parents- they also told me some funny stories about my dogs and how they behaved during their stay. Overall- i was never a fan of kennels but this place gives my comfort and peace knowing my dogs are always getting love and the best care while they are here! read more

I was extremely disappointed that they told me AFTER my puppies were 7 months old that they needed to be fixed before boarding with them! It would have been nice if someone told me from day one that this was a requirement, especially since my vet wouldn't even fix them before 6 months! I probably signed something that told me this but they were there a little over a month ago and at pickup maybe someone should have mentioned this? I come back to Yelp periodically to check, and my review is always deleted. So, here it is again. My dog was boarded here when he was a little over a year old while I was at the hospital giving birth. He had a 4 day stay, in which time we received no calls, so the assumption was all was well. On the last day, we didn't see him on the cameras and called. They said he just didn't want to play and was with a staff member inside. My husband and best friend went to collect him, and called me to warn me to prepare myself because he'd been hurt. When they arrived with him, he was limping and covered in scabs. I immediately called them to see what happened, and they said "it was just from playing" and "the other dog looked like that too". All we were offered was 25% off our next stay. Like we will ever bring him back? Stay away from this place. I will never know what happened to my dog, but he has scars that have never gone away all over his body and spots that hair never grew back because the wounds were so deep. The dogs are given a very small play area on a concrete floor to romp around with no toys and only one bed for the group of dogs. The faux grass outside is fine. NO toys, only one (1) bed for each GROUP of dogs in daycare. The front desk staff were true dog lovers. Owners? It's all about business to them. I usually only write reviews when something amazing or seriously lacking happens, but I feel Camp Bow Wow has done something amazing just for the staff on site!! Each time I have to board my dogs (3 Huskies) 2 adult, 1puppy they come back to me in such good shape, acting like they were given the love and care they receive when at home. I have never felt more secure to have anyone else care for my dogs especially when out of the country! Each time I ask my dogs if they want to go "Play" they know I'm taking them to Camp Bow Wow for daycare and my male Husky will sit and howl and bark until I leash him and put him in the car, I am going to try and record it because it shows how much he loves it there. Krista and the other staff have helped me when I've had to call them with no notice due to an emergency and took care of my babies. Every member of the staff are truly incredible and a joy to work with. They make drop off and pick up go so smoothly as they get them from your car and return them to your car, you just call when you pull up. If you want a place that treats your pups as their own, I think you should give them a chance!! They also check out each dog before accepting them to ensure that the behavior jives with the collective. Also, they have webcams in all of the yards to watch your dog. The staff were extra friendly and the only concern I had was that hey were not going to give me my dogs back because they seemed so in-love with them. We took our Doberman to the beach with us. Because of his size, no hotel would let him stay in our room, even if "pet friendly". We called Camp Bow Wow because Pilot often does daycare at the location in Concord. They took care of getting his records and had a reservation for us immediately. We got him in the afternoons so he could play on the beach, and he stayed in boarding the rest of the time. The counselors were amazing, even sending a picture of him they thought was cute. This is literally the best place to send your pup! The staff is super friendly and caring, and it definitely shows that they love the dogs. Having a rescue dog, I didn't want to go away and leave her somewhere stuck in a cage all day and bring back bad memories for her. I love that she gets to play all day with other dogs and usually end up checking the cameras 10 times a day to see what she's doing! We always get a bath before it's time to pick her up because all that playing can get them a little messy lol. Hands down, this is the best boarding/daycare facility in the area. I'll start with I have used countless doggy daycares from my home town to several vacation spots. So, I'm not new to the practices. To start, I did much research and filled out all paperwork prior to my visit. Second, upon arriving I was told that the initial interview process would not be free, but would be $90. then she reduced it to $21. I said fine and proceeded on to explain that my dog is initial timid as we've only had him a couple of months and he was rescued from a less than stellar situation. At this point I felt everything was on track, but for the next almost 2 hours of my dogs interview process he was placed in a room by himself, this I observed through the wonderful cameras that are provided, my dog then was taken to a room with approximately 6 - 8 other dogs of his size, he is 18 lbs, at which time someone sat with the dogs for 10 - 15 minutes and left. I continued to watch as dogs peed on the floor and humped other dog etc. All of this interaction for approximately 2 hours and not another person came in to check on the smaller dogs, I will say I did check other cameras and there was a person in with the larger dogs the entire time. I watched as my dog searched out a human for comforter to find none. I finally went to pick my dog up hours early because he just layed on the floor terrified and no TLC as they claim. Once I got there to pick my dog up the girl at the counter proceed to get a big smile on her face and tell me how great of a time he had, I then explained to her I had spent nearly the last 4 hours watching and he indeed didn't have a great time. Her smile immediately changed and I ask if I could please get my dog and please cancel any further appointments. The reason I felt 2 stars was appropriate is because at least the big dogs had supervision. The reason for the only review I've ever done is so people are informed and can make an informed decision on what is best for their dog. Just know no one will be supervising your smaller dogs. read more

I cannot say enough good things about this place. We got married this July in Myrtle Beach and needed a place to keep our pup. As it turns out, our vet botched up, neglecting to administer a necessary shot to ensure that our pup would be healthy enough to board with other pups. Instead of turning us away, Gerri called a vet for us and arranged for the shot to be administered. Within an hour, thanks to Gerri and the crew at Camp Bow Wow Myrtle Beach, we had our pup all set up at their boarding facility. Now, if that weren't enough, the girl who handled our pup from the moment we dropped her off was so very sweet and gentle. Our dog has a bit of anxiety around other dogs, which causes her to become dominant when we are around. But again, rather than turn us away, they instead gave her special attention and ensured that the dogs there were introduced one at a time to alleviate any anxieties. Simply put, they are dog lovers, and it shows. And if that weren't enough! We were able to watch our pup on the camera, and we did often. When we did check on her, we saw that the crew at Camp Bow Wow MB were constantly drifting in and out of the camera's scope, ensuring that all was well. Most importantly for us, they made sure that our pup, who was a bit shy at first, got enough attention to get her accustomed to the new environment. On top of all of this, the crew was simply so sweet during all of our issues, throughout our pup's stay, and during our pick up of our pup. Cannot recommend them enough. If you have a vacation in Myrtle Beach and need a place to keep your dog, I say go with Camp Bow Wow. I even offered to buy them lunch because they had helped us so much, but they declined because it was simply part of their work ethic and gentle generosity. read more

Booked our small dog Betty for time over Thanksgiving. We weren't told that camp wasn't operational from 10 until 4 on Thanksgiving and Friday. Betty was in her 'cabin' for almost 18 hours both of those days, not receiving all day play as advertised and paid for, and the cameras weren't working. We couldn't check on her while out of town, and she wasn't playing all day, which were the two main reasons we booked with Camp Bow Wow. We expressed our dissatisfaction, asked for a refund for those two days, and it wasn't granted. We were offered a free bath for Betty instead. We were told that camp bow wow didn't "drop the ball" by not disclosing over the phone that they were on holiday hours, and that the hours were posted on the door, facebook, and their voicemail system. Betty was picked up and was very ill, throwing up, and diarrhea. Not sure why she was sick when we picked her up, but our veterinary office believes it could be stress induced. While the staff were friendly, caring, and polite to Betty and us through this, we didn't receive what we paid full price for during those two days: all day play, and working cameras. On top of that Betty is now sick. We will not return, and will be adamant to tell our friends, family, and colleagues with dogs not to give business to Camp Bow Wow. read more

Very disappointed with the condition of our senior chihuahua when we picked him up from Camp Bow Wow. He was highly agitated and had feces on his legs, feet, back and head. When the employee brought him out to us, she was wiping his feet. She handed him to me and said it's the best she can do. We could barely control him when we retrieved him. I can't say enough about Camp Bow Wow! I brought my two girls there today for the first time and I got to say, I never felt more comfortable than I did when I left there. What a wonderful place to bring your four legged babies! Chelsea is wonderful and loved my dogs....I also checked in periodically on my iPhone to see how my girls were doing on the web camp app and I was quite impressed. We had a bit of a stressful introduction to boarding a dog while on vacation to start, but Camp Bow Wow came to the rescue and took such good care of Nugget that I think he was disappointed on the days that we came to retrieve him to spend time with us. Our first time leaving our babies in a boarding facility. Our girls are 11 and 13 mini doxies and they are our "children". We have always had our best friends come to the house to care for them while we were away. This time all four of us want to go on vacation. We were referred to camp Bow Wow. They told us to bring them in for a 3 hours test visit before we leave them for 5 days. We did that yesterday. The people are so incredibly nice and understanding that we were very nervous. This place is SO clean, clean, clean!!!! Absolutely no smell of urine of any kind, which is NOT what we found with other places we checked out. The staff are amazing and the doggies are happy! They are extremely safety conscience when it comes to each individual dog! In those 3 hours we watched our babies on "Live Cam" and they did so well! These people are the best and this place is the best!!! We are now ready to go on vacation next week and feel comfortable leaving our babies for the first time in a "boarding" facility. Don't go there!! They left my dog alone for over an hour in a room alone. This was during the new evaluation in which the staff gets familiar with him, but not one person tended to him. I told them he does not like to be left alone, thus the reason for daycare! The girl who checked him in hurried him him and would not show us the facilities. She left her shift right after she stuck him in this room and forgot about him and didn't tell any other staff about him. All he did was howl and cry. For his three hour camper assessment he chilled out, walked around, went outside and had a great time. The counselors sent him home with a photo certificate and an assessment report card! The girls were very sweet and friendly to my family! The first person I spoke with at the front desk, I wish I could remember her name, she was working the desk Wednesday the 25th and 26th. I forgot my Medical records at home absentmindedly, so she offered to call and request them at the vet. The vet mysteriously lost our pet records.
