Right before Labor Day, one of our "furry children" was losing a lot of weight and not himself. After many tests at Bridge Street it was discovered he was in renal failure. Dr. Norris and his staff kept him at the clinic for several days running additional tests while keeping him on an IV for fluids. Dr. Norris felt that all had been done for our cat that could be done. It was decided to send our "baby boy" home where he'd be more comfortable. The Sunday before Labor Day his breath was getting shallower and shallower. We knew he didn't have much longer to live. He finally passed early afternoon. We'd had a wonderful 13 years of unconditional love with him, My wife called the clinic to see if anyone was there since we needed a place to hold him until the pet crematory could pick him up. Fortunately Dr. Norris was at the clinic checking on the holiday boarders. Terry was able to drop our cat off and be comforted by one of the more compassionate individuals we've ever met, our vet, Dr. Norris. We are so happy we are clients of Bridge Street, one of the best vet clinics we've ever used.

Our dog Rudy is a sweet boy who loves to cuddle, play with cat toys, run around the yard, and go on evening walks. He is caring, loves kids, shares his bed with our house cat, and protects the house from invading opossums. He is a mixed breed adopted from a local animal shelter. Although he gets along well with human interaction, even kids, he has his reservations when it comes to other dogs. We no longer frequent dog parks due to aggressive behavior towards other dogs. We have tried various training methods, but all have seemed to fall short. That's why we decided it was time to invest in professional dog training. Brian from K-9 Connection really has helped get our boy to keep his calm around other dogs and gave us tools and resources to approach various situations with confidence. We continue to work with Brian as we train Rudy and already saw return-on-investment on day one. Using methods that imitate a dog's natural pack environment, Rudy learned his place in our "pack". Therefore, he has become a better listener, respects our authority, and trusts us to protect him from situations he feels are threatening towards him. The result is an obedient, loving, playful dog that isn't in fight-or-flight mode anymore. Using behavioral science derived from dog psychology, Brian's methods do in fact hold value. Ive been in town three weeks and was here at the end of April too. They went for a temperament test to see if they can continue daycare. I received a call that my Frenchie was too hyper to be evaluated because they didn't have dogs of his energy level there to play with. I understand that but...I was given no communication orabout my Boston nor did they offer to let her stay. The staff basically just handed me their leashes and let me walk out the door. They said meekly and with no smiles or offers of another coming appointment, that "she wants him to come back when there are more dogs like him". This was my first time there. We live out of town. I take them all over the country to day care and have never been called to get them. I'm disappointed in the customer service of not getting any feed back on my Boston or the offer for her to stay or come back or anything. I had to get a vaccine for them to come here and I waited literally two weeks for today. In the mean time they have gone to Camp Bow Wow three times and I still have two paid days there but still wanted to use Pet Resort in the Gardens. After today, I won't even try this place again. We provided verbal instructions twice and written instructions stating that our dog needed to be fed at 7 AM and 7 PM so that his insulin could be administered on a consistent schedule. Unfortunately, we learned at pick up that he had been fed at approximately 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM each day instead. Consistency is extremely important for diabetic dogs, and this type of deviation can be dangerous. When we questioned the feeding times, we were told that special schedules are only followed when instructions are provided. After we pointed out that instructions had been given multiple times, they were eventually located in his chart. What's most disappointing is the apparent lack of concern regarding the seriousness of the error. Mistakes can happen, but attention to detail and an appropriate response are critical, especially when caring for animals with medical conditions. Based on our experience, we were left concerned about the level of communication and oversight provided. We'd never bring our dogs back.

Thankfully, the experience couldn't have been more of a relief. We brought both dogs in before heading to the airport and they immediately took to the staff. The staff assured us they'd be just fine and quickly took care of all administrative items and catalogued their items. Off to the airport we went, still a little worried. We had barely made it through security before we saw a post on Pup Hub's Facebook page welcoming Artie and Gwen with pictures of them playing in the yard. This took a huge weight off our shoulders. Over the next 4 days, Pup Hub posted adorable pictures of them at least three times a day to let us know they were doing well. When we got back, I don't know if the dogs were even ready to go! They seemed to both have a great time and the team there said they did well. They ate their food, enjoyed their treats and played with their toys, which is a great sign they were comfortable. We'll definitely be utilizing Pup Hub in the future!

If matting was the issue, they should have told me before starting and given me the choice to approve shaving, pay for dematting, or leave. Instead, they made the decision themselves, charged me full price, and then acted like not charging extra for dematting was some favor. How do you claim to "demat" a dog when you just shave everything off? The grooming itself was sloppy too they left a long forgotten lock of hair on one ear and gave her an uneven face trim that looks nothing like the teddy bear inspiration photo I showed them. This business has terrible communication, no respect for customer consent, and poor quality work. Go somewhere else.
