My dog digs camp bow wow! Seriously he loves going. Would recommend! The app is nice too.

My initial impression of this location was so much better than the Lawrencevillw location. They were organized and Andrew talked me through what to expect on the first day. After the first day he was pooped but had a very strange smell to him. When I asked if they put anything on them while they are there they said just water. So the next time I noticed the smell again I contacted Claire and she suggested since I didn't come often a bath after each visit. By the way , Claire was wonderful when speaking to me. Well, recently, I've needed to take my puppy more often. I took him to a different dog care and he did not have a smell. I took him three days that week and no smell. Also, they day before the interview day here I took my puppy to a different day care. That day he came back smelling like he had when I dropped him off . He had been to the groomer the day before. The next day he came back smelling like ass from Jeff's location. Unfortunately the clean smell from the groomer only lasted two days. I choose Jeff's location because of Andrew and the cameras. Saturday, 4 September I called and spoke to Jade who told me I would need to speak to Jeff the owner regarding a refund. I had spoken with Jeff previously and assumed he was a teenager who was forced to work there by his parents. I found it very odd that a owner would speak to a paying customer that way but this is the South. After calling and emailing again , Jeff finally returned my call and was quite rude. He proceeded to tell me because I had used two of my 10 days that I wouldn't be receiving a refund. Jeff said I could bring my puppy back in and he would check him out afterwards and go from there. I've taken my dog to this facility three times including the interview day. if a customer tells you the dog smells like shit after leaving your facility why would you want them to return? Poor customer service all around. I'm amazed I had such a good experience my interview day. For the package I unfortunately purchased breaks down to roughly $17 a visit. Since I only brought my puppy there twice I'm owed $136. Business must be pretty bad if he can't afford to give a partial refund to someone who will not be returning. I would wholeheartedly not recommend using this business at all. I will definitely file a complaint today. read more

They changed management it Seems. I did not feel welcomed this past time dropping my dog off. They tried to charge us for things we didn't have to pay for. The receptionist had to "negotiate" for us with the owner who said "I don't like it but whatever" as a response. Horrible customer service. We requested paid extras that never happened and they gave my pet dinner at 245 (that is so early) and kept her locked in a cage until 530 which is unacceptable. Before someone comes on here to argue, I looked at the camera to make sure and we had to call twice about it. Something is off here now. Their new policies on pick up times are a massive change from before and we will no longer come here. This place is not cheap and the way they are running it is not worth it. We've brought our dogs here for daycare and boarding over the past six months, and we've experienced nothing but the best! They know our dogs, they know us, they're always nice, they're organized, and, most importantly, they treat our dogs well. Some of the other negative reviews seem to not be aware of a few facts: such as, if your dog is afraid of other dogs, it will come home exhausted (maybe don't leave your dog at a doggie daycare if it is afraid of other dogs-- just a thought); the same goes for if your dog takes a minute to warm up to a place-- it will come home exhausted; second is that your dog will be stimulated most of the day (a good thing), and that will also exhaust your dog (a good thing-- they need this); in regard to dogs coming home with an odor, every dog owner has their own dog bath schedule-- dogs play, and when they play they rub all over each other-- so if a dog smells and they play with your dog, your dog will come home smelling like the dog they played with. We drive 45 minutes each way to take our dogs here. There are plenty of other doggy daycares that are much closer, but the reason we drive that far is a testament to how great this place is and how much our dogs love it there. read more

If you're still hesitant... don't be!! THIS IS THE PLACE. After visiting Atlanta Dog Trainers, Frogs to Dogs, and BarkATL, I decided to go with Camp Bow Wow. I had originally planned to let Luna stay for 3 months while I was out of the country, but due to some personal reasons I had to extend her stay to 6 months. The owner Jeff and his team were super accommodating and caring. While I was away, they were very responsive to my emails and even Instagram messages! Calls get picked up right away when I decide to call in to check up on my baby as well. :) The team sends me her pictures and updates without my asking. The cameras at camp are also available for me to check up on my baby when camp is open (with the time difference being across the globe- this was extremely helpful). They also took Luna to the vet for her annual vaccinations and some paperwork for international travels. When she was out of food, they also picked it up for her + got her some new toys and even a bed! When I picked her up I saw how close she was with everyone at camp, and it broke my heart a little that I'm picking her up from her family Thank you so much Camp Bow Wow Duluth!! 10/10 would recommend!!! I continuously felt the need to call this TERRIBLE dog camp to ask if my dog has been given enough water because she seemed to look as if she didn't on camera. But of course they said yes. Moral of the story, DO NOT send your pets here. They will lack attention and water. These people just lock dogs up in cages with other dogs just so that they can make a few dollars, they do not truly care about the health of your pet. ALSO, my dog came back home with KENNEL COUGH, which I knew nothing about and was not informed about due to being a first time pet owner. These people are just sick and I truly believe that the pet food I send her there with, she did not even eat. Because even when I feed my dog she doesn't even eat the entire 2C of dry food that it's given to her. You guys are pitiful. Note: I will also be calling my bank to dispute this charge due to the lack on informing your customers about kennel cough and for certain being dog abusers due to your reviews. **** BEWARE DOG ABUSERS**** Originally we thought this was a nice place therefore, we sent our puppy here when we went on vacation. However, we all were feeling like we needed to check on our dog throughout the trip which we did. After being gone 4 days we picked our dog up her name is "Cocoa" the first thing she did was run to the water once we opened our home she was dehydrated and layed down the entire day approximately 10 hours straight after picking her up from camp bow wow. Our dog is very active and had no energy at all. The camp staff did not make sure our dog had adequate water therefore, she had no energy and could not do much because she was dehydrated from Lack of water. We also noticed our puppy seemed afraid for instance when we went to play with her she would run under the table or run as if she thought we were going to hit her. Therefore, I called the camp left a message and explained to them that our dog hadn't had water and was very dehydrated and therefore had no energy to move. I also informed the staff via voice message that I feel like someone at the camp was abusing my dog and two days later nobody has called back nor answered the phone. After reading these reviews from other concerned people I wish my daughter had taken our dog to another place. This place allowed our dog to be without water and apparently someone was abusing her. I believe everything I'm saying to be true nobody never called to address any issues that is a sign in itself. I'm only giving a star because it's required to post this review. read more

I started using camp bow wow because my dog has severe separation anxiety. He can't be left at home when I'm at work and I felt safe knowing I could watch him on the app and that it was close to my work. We decided to do a membership bc of the cost per month. Well it was hard to spot him on the cam (I figured it was just bc I was on my phone and was assured he was taken care of by workers there). Then on 2 separate occasions I overheard workers say there were way too many dogs to trainer ratios and they were afraid someone would get hurt. I called the owner Jeff and never heard back about this. The next week I was waiting in line to get checked in and my dog was crying. The owner came out of his office, took the dog from me and said "I can't have a crying dog outside my office, it irritates me." Well, maybe don't own a doggie day camp. Memorial Day I was told my membership ($300 a month and it was his normal day to come and we had a reservation) couldn't be honored bc they had booked way too many dogs and they didn't have enough people. Again, called the owner and never got a call back. I called the next week to tell them my dog got into training early and see if there was anything I could do about my membership. Yes, I called on the first of the month but was told that my membership would be paused, I wouldn't be charged and if I was they would "fix it". I was willing to wait a few weeks for my dog to go into training if they couldn't help due to not being able to throw $300 down the drain. I was told everything would be good. Well it wasn't. It wasn't fixed and when I disputed it to my credit card company the owner lied to them and said I wanted to cancel and was mad I had to pay. Totally untrue. I actually wouldn't have cancelled had I gotten proper treatment and heard back from the owner. Looking back I should've cancelled my membership. Honestly the location was the thing that kept us going there. Between how we were treated and how my dog wouldn't walk through the door each time should've made me run the other way. Over a week has passed since my dog was injured at Camp Bow Wow Duluth so I thought an update was fitting. After all web cam footage was reviewed multiple times, by various employees, Camp Bow Wow has concluded that another dog caused the large open wound to my dog. From my understanding, the owner of that other dog can no longer bring her dog back for daycare services. Oh best believe I will be checking the web cams to make sure that dog is no where in sight! I believe this was the best and only outcome as why would you allow that dog back to daycare after this incident, right? Everyone at Camp Bow Wow has been STELLAR through this process so thank you to everyone who I have spoken with. Especially Claire, who has been continuously checking in with me on the status of my dog. Even though my dog won't be able to play in the yards with others until his wound is completely healed, she let me know my dog could hang out with employees in their offices and/or in one of their cabins. My dog hates being isolated and boarded in a kennel so hopefully their cabins are more pleasant and spacious than I'm envisioning. In the end, the only thing I am not at ease with is the fact that the owner of the other dog got off easy. She likely will take her dog to another daycare facility only to have this happen to another fur baby. But such is life; it's not fair and justice is not served at times. read more

The woman who groomed our long-haired Akita, shaved him completely bald. Because his hair was so fine, a drop of water would tangle his hair. Grooming him is important because of this and professional groomers know this and use detangler and brush out the hair. This woman who groomed our dog decided it would be easier for her to just completely shave him, bald. Just awful.. Akitas are not supposed to have their hair shaved that short, it can affect their immune systems. This happened 2 years ago now but I never got a chance to report it. He not long after, got cancer and died 3 months later. Don't get your dogs groomed there, groomers are not knowledgeable on different dogs and their needs. The male manager was very unkind. We will not ever take our dogs to this location and I suggest you don't as well. read more

I would like to express my displeasure at my recent grooming experience at Camp Bow Wow in Duluth . I took my two doodles in for a grooming, the instructions were to leave their fur longer due to it being cold & winter. I was shocked when I picked them up. One of the dogs was cut down to the skin and my other dog was also cut shorter than ever with areas that were cut down to the skin. I have never seen such a terrible groom. I'm still shocked at the out come and extremely upset that both my dogs were butchered like that. I know their fur will grow back however this should not have happened. I will never return their for grooming. read more

Dog day care is wonderful! I feel safe and secured that my pets are being well taken cared of. Staff are all friendly. They have cameras where you, the owner, can check up on your fur babies by looking at the web cam on your phone. Clean facility. Definately recommend this place read more

We have been a customer of Camp Bow Wow in a couple different locations and recently used this location for the first time during a weekend trip for three full days and an overnight board. I'm usually nervous about new places, but after a wonderful experience I have only the best of praises to give. They were professional the whole time, happily greeted me and my pup at the door, and took such good care of our fur baby. They were prepared and had printed off our reservation before we arrived. I constantly checked the cameras to see how our pup was doing and he only ever looked happy and taken care of. They even separated the dogs one day between energy levels, so more energetic dogs got to play together, while dogs that were tired hung out together in a calmer area. They were aware and attentive to all the dogs (and it was a very busy holiday weekend). Giving this location 5 stars and will be visiting again! Thank you!! read more

For over 10 years, our dog, CC, has gone to Camp Bow Wow. Without fail, CC jumps around and wags her tail when I tell her she's going to Camp Bow Wow to see her friends! She loves going to CBW and pulls at the leash to get inside when we arrive! In all the years and the many, many days she's been going to CBW, only twice has she come home with an injury but each of those times I received a phone call with what happened and measures taken to address her injury. The injuries were minor and not life threatening. Each time the staff and owner reviewed the videos to figure out precisely what happened and then let me know. I've never felt CC to be in any danger being at CBW. I feel the staff is trained well in what to do and am confident in them and in the owner. If CC ever displayed any fear or worry about going then I would find alternate boarding for her. CBW is CC's home away from home - in fact, I think she prefers it more than home because she can play all day! read more

Dog lovers: DO NOT board your dog here!! If you are like us, and love your dog like a child, I would warn you against using this business. We had been using Camp Bow Wow for roughly 6 years, taking Mocha to the Lawrenceville location, the Alpharetta location and have been going to the Duluth location since 2019. It's not the fact that she came home with "kennel cough" multiple times costing us hundreds of dollars in vet bills. It's not the fact that on Nov 3rd 2022 our sweet dog was a victim of an unprovoked attacked by another dog (per the owner, confirmed via video), it's not even the fact that they blatantly lied about the severity of the tear in her ear (saying it was minor, and only about 1/2", when in reality it was 2"); it's the fact that when I spoke to the owner Jeff, there was ZERO sympathy, no apology (not even a "we're sorry this happened to you dog"), and a total attitude. I was called at 8:30am right after the attack the morning we were supposed to pick her up. I was told that the owner Jeff usually gets in mid to late morning and that he would call me directly as soon as he walked through the door. After waiting most of the day anticipating his call that never came, I finally called about 4pm and managed to get him on the phone. I immediately said I was disappointed I hadn't heard from him. Instead of showing an ounce of regret or sorrow, he immediately got attitude. I expressed the fact that we were obviously upset about the situation, but was understanding when they told me "dogs will be dogs" and that this other dog had never done that before, and that the owner would be paying for our vet bills. Fine. Good. I explained that the next two weeks were going to be rough taking care of her, giving her meds, taking her back and forth to the vet (5 times as of today) to get stitches, to change dressings, had to get 6 staples, more meds, head re-wrapped, etc., and that it would be nice if as a show of good faith, and as a sign he wanted us to continue to use his business, they would refund us the $300 we paid for that stay. He again got total attitude saying that "I doubt you read the contract" and when I pushed him saying how disappointing it was to hear that, said he "would think about it, but at the very most might give us a credit". The past 9 days has been extremely hard and no one has even called to she how she is! The owner of this Camp BowWow location DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU OR YOUR LOVING PETS. He was heartless and unsympathetic! I would NEVER recommend using this place!! If I could give a worse rating, I would. If you have any doubts, look at his response to all the negative reviews online. You can see/hear his attitude in his replies to everyone complaints, and I'm sure he will do to mine. I have been looking for a place to take my dog one day a week so that she can socialize with other dogs. I stumbled across this place on Yelp. I read the reviews, skimmed through the pics and decided to send them a message. Someone contacted me within a few hours to schedule an interview with my dog. I kind of side eyed the thought of a dog interview but I chuckled at it as well. LOL! Heck, pets are people too (at least in my opinion)! I scheduled an appointment for the very next day. This place is in a convenient location and offers plenty of parking. It is easily accessible. I walked in and was greeted by a couple of friendly faces. The place was clean and was decorated with a complete dog theme which was cute. While I filled out paperwork, a nice guy tended to my dog for me since I couldn't write and hold her at the same time. Several customers came in to drop their dogs off. I was impressed because the staff called all the dogs by their name as they entered. Kudos to them for knowing that and putting that personal touch on their business. I was briefed on the program as they took my dog back for her interview. The interview was about 20 minutes. I could watch her on the monitor in the waiting area. I prayed that she passed the interview because... I couldn't leave there with her. She definitely couldn't come to work with me. She doesn't know how to type. LOL!! Anyway... she passed her interview and was able to stay for the remainder of the day. Oh... the plus was that... the interview day is completely free. My dog stayed all day for 0 dollars and 0 cents. You can't beat that with a stick. While at work, I was obsessed with viewing the monitors and watching her. I loved it. I picked her up and she was exhausted. LOL! I immediately signed up for a 4 day package. There are various packages to suit your needs. Try them out. You won't be disappointed. HORRIBLE customer service and uncleanliness. I hate to write poor reviews but my experience at CBW Duluth was appalling and my hope is to warn others. In June, I dropped my dog for an initial interview with a bag of food because he was going to stay for the day. When I picked him up, they did not give me his bag of food and after calling several times, I was told that the food was thrown away. 1st red flag but I ignored it and said "hey things happen". I decided to board my dog here for 5 nights in July and when I picked him up, he smelled pretty bad and had blood stains all over him, and some kind of object on his eyeball. When I asked about this the employees said that there was another dog who's gums were bleeding and it must've gotten on my dog. If this was the case, why was that dog near other dogs with bleeding gums and why wasn't my dog at least cleaned up? When we got home I removed the object from his eye and he was sluggish and sneezing the rest of the day. He got worse over the next couple days and his eye was very pink and oozing puss. I took him to the vet and was told he has kennel cough and upper respiratory infection. I reached out to Jeff, the owner, SEVERAL times and sent him pictures and sent the doctor's note, and when I finally heard back from him he was very dismissive and made comments like "this could happen anywhere". I requested a refund and he said that's not going to happen. He offered one free night boarding or one free bath. I told him I will absolutely not be having my dog board at CBW Duluth because of the lack of care and poor customer service. I asked for 3 free baths as fair compromise and he replied with "One night or one bath. End of discussion". This response alone speaks volumes and shows how much he just doesn't care about customer concerns. I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner. Just disgusting. read more

First visit. Let me start by saying how disappointed we are with this place and the unfriendly staff. The place and staff was cold, chaotic, not organized and not very warm, friendly or welcoming. I called in the morning, the call forwarded to the owners cell. Jeff, the owner was irritated that I called maybe because he was driving or that his staff did not roll over the phones. Be mad and irritated with your staff for not answering and not your customers. I should have known at that point this was a bad idea, but...Anyway, he got me the details for boarding our pets. I will admit he did call me back like he said he would with details on boarding our pets. We showed up and most of the staff were not very friendly nor welcoming. The owner Jeff seemed pissed at the world, walked right by us and didn't even greet us and gave my dog the dirtiest look ever. If you are having and bad day try not to let your customers see it. They took our 1st dog back for the temperament test. They guy that took him back showed no love, compassion or kindess for pets. I mean at least greet us and the dogs, we should not have to ask what your name is. It was just a job that he was stuck doing. Our dog seemed traumatized. At that point my wife and I were already uncomfortable with any of the staff let alone the owner caring for our dogs. We asked for our dog back and left. My dog seemed so traumatized on the way home that he just slept the entire way which is not like him. Pets should never be made to feel that way, especially on their 1st visit. Not sure what the staff and owner was thinking. Maybe it was a off day, but we will never ever return to this place and if you love your pets don't take them here. What a horrible first time experience. When you have a service oriented business especially for pets, make sure you love what you are doing and have a love for animals and it's not just a job. How dissapointing because we really wanted to find a loving, caring, warm place to care for our babies weekly and this place is definitely not it. read more

I am so disappointed with the customer service here at this camp bow wow. The last time I had my goldendoodle groom with their previous groomer he looked amazing. So I went back expecting the same again. Unfortunately I got exactly what I said not to do and attitude along with the bill being $50 more than the previous time. This groomer shaved my dog, even after I said do not I just want a trim and we're about to move to Michigan. So now my poor dog has to wear a coat to go outside as temps in Michigan are averaging 10 degrees. I spoke with the assistant manager and the owner, neither tried to resolve the issue. read more

The three different ladies that I interacted were very friendly, unfortunately my pup picked up kennel cough during his stay. I would have given 3 stars for that but when I politely called (as a courtesy as advised by our Vet) to advise that my pup picked up kennel cough during his stay, Jeff 's immediate response was that something might be wrong with the dog's immune system! So not for the kennel cough incident, but for Jeff's unwarranted attitude, I rate Camp Bow Wow Duluth 1 star. Definitely needs customer response training. read more

I take my puppy Toy Chi there to socialize with other pups and he really enjoys his time there. The staff are amazing and everything is always so clean. Claire is the best we have taken both of our dogs to her for training and they respond so well to her. They are so excited to see her that it is sometimes hard to get them to pay attention Lol. I would not hesitate to take your dog there for camp or to use Claire for training as you can see how much she cares about the pups!! read more

Went to view this location for possible Doggie DayCare. The dogs were all in giant rooms together (segregated by size) with no toys. The attendants stood around with spray bottles waiting to squirt the dogs if they needed to be separated etc. Saw no playing/interaction between the attendants and the dogs. My dog Bella stayed with Camp Bow Wow recently and I was absolutely delighted by the entire experience. I love that they do a test run for each dog to make sure they will be okay in the environment before their stay. All of the staff members were so sweet and loving and made me feel a million times better about leaving my pup for a few days. We had Bella groomed before we picked her up, and I could not even believe how good she looked! She is very hard to groom and I had come to accept really uneven haircuts, but Elisa at Camp Bow Wow groomed her PERFECTLY and she smelled amazing for two solid weeks! I will never take her anywhere else for a haircut again. Highly recommended! read more

We LOVE, love, love Camp Bow Wow Duluth! We adopted a 5 month old dog from the Fulton Co. shelter and she needed a place to burn off her extra puppy energy. We've been bringing Lilo there at least once a week since we got her (for the last 6 months) and she LOVES to come to Camp Bow Wow Duluth. I can't even say the words "Bow Wow" at home without her tilting her head and running to the door to go to camp. It makes her so happy! She comes home completely spent and exhausted from playing all day and it's great! Not only is the environment great (clean, huge area for the dogs to play, inside and out) but the counselors are wonderful. They treat my dog as special as we feel she is and they go above and beyond to make sure that I know she is doing well. I love to check the webcam throughout the day to see my dog playing. They even texted me to say she did a good job with her nail clipping (thanks Elisa). It is those small gestures that really mean a lot to us. I appreciate the high level of service that is provided by this camp. It's consistent across the board. I cannot imagine taking my dog anywhere else. I know that if I ever need to board her overnight, I will feel 100% confident in leaving her there. It really is home away from home for her...I would encourage everyone to choose Camp Bow Wow for their dog. Excellent! read more

We made the mistake of entrusting Camp Bow Wow with the care of our Dog while we went on a short vacation. When we picked her up, she looked terrible. The girl that checked us out said she was worn out from spending a lot of time in the Sun (during 95+ degree weather!). Our dog's mouth was so dry she could barely drink. Despite our efforts to cool her down and comfort her, she died in my arms that night. Our Vet said she likely died from heatstroke. As if this wasn't devastating enough, the response from the owner, Jeff, was appalling. Jeff called two days later to say he was sorry. As the conversation came to a close, I was shocked he had not at least offered a refund for the stay. When I asked, he told me he would "consider" it and call me the next day with an answer. A wonderful, highly recommend, and truthworthy place to leave your babies at! My babies tried out this place this weekend had a great time (well, at least the little one did since she is younger, she didnt want to come home!). My eldest just sat in a corner since she does not have as much energy as she use to. I think if you have younger dogs they will love this place. All the owners and their babies are very friendly and high recommend this place. I saw so many dogs here and they were all excited to go play right away! The place is clean, organized, and the suites are a great size. Prices are great and the employees are all very friendly + clearly very experienced. I loved that I can watch them from home from many different video cam options. Lastly, they do have home watch options if you prefer to have someone watch your dog in the comfort of your home Highly recommend, especially if you have younger playful dogs :). We live Camp Bow Wow. My dogs always do well there and I don't have to worry when I'm away.

The owner is rude and has no idea of how to treat customers or run his business. I took my dog there twice and will never again. I filled out the email survey on my experience and told them I was not happy. The email that the owner sent me was uncalled for. There was no customer service at all. The email was so rude I almost think it was sent to me by accident. I would not take your dog there! Just an awful man to work with. I have no idea how they are still in business. I am a former customer. To be honest, my dogs loved the place. They were always excited to go (they knew in the morning when I got their leashes), were happy when they got there, and the staff treated my dogs very well. They got to know my dogs and their personalities. This made it very easy for me to want to bring them there, and the facility on technical basis is superb. Top Notch. With that being said, the reason for my poor star rating was because while the staff treated my dogs very well, they treated me very poorly as a customer. This attitude starts with the owner (who I have no personal connection with, so there is no personal vendetta) and permeates down to the managers and the store staff. Collectively, the staff had a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde type of way to treating me as a customer. Friendly and helpful one minute, sarcastic and rude the next. [The owner was predominately leaning towards Mr. Hyde] In addition, when any issue would arise, and on technical terms it was established that the staff/company were at fault, they would attempt to turn it around on me in some manner to put the blame on me, even though nobody could dispute the facts. They would also hide behind the mantra of "company policy" about EVERYTHING, even when the facts clearly established that they were at fault. It got to where I dreaded going to pick them up or drop them off because I felt that I had to walk on egg shells. I kept doing so because for my pets, and as I mentioned above, they were extremely good towards my dogs, and my dogs loved going there, and there was no comparative and viable alternative in the area. If you can deal with excellent facilities, but very poor customer service, your pets will find a good place. If you can't deal with poor customer service, you may want to take your business elsewhere to avoid frustration and the anxiety bound to arise. read more
