We were sold on this place just talking to her! The check-in center is also a small store that has pretty much anything you may have forgotten for your trip and then some (food, games, worms, OH MY) Anywho--we booked site 92 which was right on the creek (perfect for my resident fisherman), and we were really happy with our choice. The site came with an electric hookup and water, and had plenty of space to spread out our stuff. The grounds were extremely well kept. The bathrooms weren't too far from our site, and were basically permanent port-a-potties (oxy moron?) but did the trick for what we needed. There was some pretty hiking right around the campground, and you could fish right in the creek (with a license, mind you), and we saw lots of kayakers and tubers floating past. This place was only an hour and 45 minute or so drive from Philadelphia (a little longer getting out of the city on a Friday), so I'm confident this is going to be our go-to camping spot for a really long time. Definitely is pointed to an older/retired community just looking for peace and quiet which is fine but advertise that. No online reservations available, you have to call and usually wait for a call back. The owner does not seem like she wants to be bothered and hearing from previous guests she will throw you out without notice.

Sorry no tents but well worth the stay. Swimming pool is salt water. The campsites are clean and kept. The staff is friendly and kind. The store is nicely kept and the treats are priced for the kiddos. This is a children's friendly campsite no need to spend my traveling far it's here. Now we drove from VA and we were surprised because we lived in Downingtown and never knew how nice the place is. They offer activities and there is a game room and activities center. Whether you're local or out of town getting acres campgrounds is a place to bring your family or just to come and relax.

They have so many water activities, from the blob to slide to zip line and multiple floating obstacle course. It really reminds me of the show Wipeout. The water is like a turquoise blue color and was a comfortable temperature. I will say that if you are over the age of 25, you will have to use some strategy, upper body strength and determination to pull yourself up on the activities! Life vests (provided) are a must and I would strongly recommend wearing water shoes. The staff had the place very organized and were happy to answer any questions. PS - This is in the middle of no where!

Having been to Muddy Run park throughout my life for various things (weddings, boating, etc) the splash park is relatively new and I was eager to check it out. Best thing about it...IT'S TOTALLY FREE! While it may be on the small side it's loads of fun for kids of all ages, with buckets that dump, spritzers that spray, nozzles that shoot, and cascading water everywhere. There's so many features that they can interact with and ways to get wet - alittle or alot - your choice. The pad is clean and colorful with a retaining wall where parents can sit and keep a close eye. It's surrounded by a grassy area with picnic tables, shade trees, and a playground. You can have a picnic, or just soak in the sun's rays. While it's about a 40 minute drive from Lancaster City it's worth the trip as there's other things to do in the park - fish, boat, ride bike, trails, camp, ride horses, etc. GPS did send me the wrong way but once you find the park the signage will lead you right to it. I was pleasantly surprised by the behavior of the kids there, and parents were pretty attentive. There's a bathroom a short walk away, which we didn't go in, as well as an employee monitoring (but not lifeguarding) the area. The splash pad has it's on designated parking lot. We'll definately go back in 2021

I sure hope you checked your baby before it was to late , that just truly upset me today.. if ur hott in the sun so if your child!!!

This is a wonderful little campground that's extraordinarily clean and well-maintained, just RV…read moresites and some one-room cottages but perfectly located between Intercourse and Bird-in-Hand. It's located amidst farms and homes which makes for some pleasant scenery. We were in a cottage near friends in their RV. WiFi worked fine. You could tell how well this place is maintained by the impeccably clean bathrooms with fabric skirts hanging beneath the sinks and music (radio) playing for comfort. There's a covered area with picnic tables, counters, and a grill for gatherings in the center. It's 16-years-old plus, so there aren't kids running around (nothing against kids, but it's a quiet place!) Pets are welcome, so there are lots of canine critters. Quiet hours start at 10pm. A separate area has higher-power, 50A electrical. There's a laundry room here, too. It filled up daily while we were here - obviously popular!
