I would also suggest taking a walk on the wild side and ask your server for what their favorite dish is and have them bring you that. This is a great way to try something new and something you may not have ordered yourself. The remodel that they did a few years ago was top notch and has really made the place unique! The ambiance this has created is on point! Alot of the times I've seen people at tables either worried about saying something incorrectly or pronouncing it wrong, just roll with it! The servers are amazing and work with the language barriers. Order what looks good, order what sounds good, order what the server suggests!

When I was going better two menu items he said they were both excellent and I would just have to come back again and try the other one. Loved it. My husband and I both ordered the jumbo margaritas. Mine was a frozen strawberry and it was very tasty. My husband ordered a regular lime one. Both were excellent. I ordered the chicken tapatio and my husband had the fajita burrito. My skillet came out smoking and bubbling. The guacamole with it was chunky and flavorful. My chicken tapatio was delicious. The portion sizes were large and I took half my meal home with me. I look forward to coming back and trying the carnitas. The food was excellent. As were the service and the margaritas I highly recommend this place.

My own enchiladas were ok but I will probably not order them again. I was not happy with our particular seating arrangement because the "booth" seats were only intended for 1 person. We like to sit next to each other so we can hear each other better... I didn't ask for a different table but could have since there were more tables available. My wife enjoyed her fajita taco salad but the server informed her that the guacamole wasn't available for her meal and then asked her if she wanted to buy some. It took us an hour to eat at an Mexican restaurant! Way. Too. Long. Ambiance? It was very dingy and gross. I should have checked my trusty Yelp app and shouldn't have relied on their Google review. Her immediate, first answer was BYOB. Full Stop. Build Your Own Burrito? I think this was the easier lunch decision we've ever made. "Waze, navigate me to BYOB". Less than a ten minute drive later and there we were. First thing's first: You can't miss this place. It's painted bright teal and definitely stands out from its surroundings. BYOB isn't a fancy, sit-down, full-service affair. It's a place with probably a dozen tables set about the area. What is 100% unique about BYOB is the ordering method. There's no menu board. There's no tri-fold menu on the table. At BYOB there are holders with 3 different colored pieces of paper. Each one of those has the menu for that particular food item (Tacos, Burritos, or Bowls). There are also golf pencils. You fill out your order on your yellow, pink, or green order slip and present it at the register. I think this is SERIOUSLY cool. We asked the gentleman at the counter what he would recommend (our first visit and all) and he said they're known for their Wet Tacos. Just about anything with the word "taco" is an easy sell for me, so my wife and I got that. No need to peruse the menu slips for this. If the person behind the counter says "It's what we're known for", that's enough for us. Maybe ten minutes later our Wet Tacos arrived...and Holy. Hell. They were awesome. They were amazing. They were incredible. They were unbelievable. (I'm running out of adjectives). They were magnificent. (ok, I'll stop there). But seriously. There's a lot of magic going on there. I've eaten a lot of tacos in my time and these just raised the bar.....HIGH. The staff we encountered (all both of them) were awesome and you could tell they enjoyed working at BYOB. They were also quick to clear tables after visitors left, making sure the place was kept clean. I'm pretty bummed that this place is so far away from home and that we can't visit on a whim (it's about 2 1/2 from Louisville) so we'll have to settle with infrequent stops when traveling up I-69. Regardless, BYOB is a place I would, 100%, visit with amazing frequency if I was able. OH...and the restroom doors are cutely decorated.

Filled with lettuce, artery clogging cheese sauce, grilled chicken, steak, and shrimp, grilled onions and bell peppers, tomatoes, sour cream, and I added guacamole for a dollar. Yummers! The restaurant slowly filled up and people were all quickly tended to and their food arrived quickly as well. Free wifi is a bonus. Happy to find a non chain, with tasty food, helpful and quick staff, and a clean atmosphere. They even had 12 and 8 tops set so they can accommodate groups, too!
