Or I used to until I left my phone in an Uber last Friday…read more I was heading home from ATL Airport and my phone battery was nearly out of electrons so I plugged the phone into a cable the driver very conveniently had. So far so good. When we arrived at my house I hopped and grabbed my suitcase and backpack and headed to the front door. Almost immediately I realized I had left my phone charging and tried to wave down the driver. Unsuccessfully. What a dope am I. I tried to contact uber from my laptop. There is no customer service number. I followed their instructions and a message came up that they would contact the driver. On Saturday, Sunday and Monday I tried to contact Uber. There's no way to call and talk to an actual person. There is a complicated system where I could change my phone on Uber setting to my wife's phone and call the driver through Uber. Which I did multiple times. Never worked. By Tuesday, I had had enough. I knew the drivers first name. My wife could see where the phone was through location sharing. With the driver's home address and the first name I found phone numbers associated with him. I called the first number. Voice mail. His wife answered the 2nd number and was super helpful. The driver called me in an hour. A few hours later he was pulling up to my house with my phone. No thanks to Uber. Then 30 minutes later I got a text message from Uber congratulating themselves for reuniting me with my phone. The nerve of those guys!!
