Then Kiana finished it she flat ironed it as I wanted. I told her to make it flat to my head and she did just that. I left happy. The experience I had with Salon 253 was great. Their customer service is great fun the time got walk in to you leave. The price i paid for a wash, blow dry, and flat iron was reasonable. I'll be back to try something else. Parking is limited so I tend to park at the Baseball field nearby and walk down to their location. They have never disappointed with their selection of Master & Senior Stylists to their Junior/Student Stylists trained in house. Not to mention, it's a beautiful salon with freshly cut tropical flowers all over and a mod and boho vibe that I esthetically love! They always ask me if I want a drink too whether it's sparkling water, coffee or a Mimosa. I've supported both Senior and Junior Stylists alike. I do try if possible to stick to the Junior Stylists for a more affordable option but of course they all become Senior Stylists eventually. But I do believe the Junior Stylists can be 50% off the Master or Senior Stylists. Sometimes they have promos that include a Free Haircut on my Vagaro app. Today I got a Full Balayage and Haircut. I asked for more Ash Blonde tones since my top was already showing my dark roots. I also wanted French/Curtain bangs and some face framing layers for my cut. After the foil painting that took about 1-2 hours, I was taken to the Shampoo and Conditioning station which included a relaxing scalp massage. I had Toner applied twice to bring the color I wanted to life. Along with my haircut, the whole process lasted maybe 4 1/2 hours so if you do a Full Balayage, make sure you eat before you get started and prepare to have a salon day! Downside is that Good Hair isn't cheap by any means plus this is Maui. I paid $375 (not including the 20% tip) for the Balayage and Haircut. I believe my Stylist Shayla is now a Senior Stylist but I've seen many of the talented Stylists over the years, Ace, Manelle, Sara, Chloe and Shayla. If you're looking for amazing, feel beautiful and confident hair, make sure you save up and go to Salon 253! What I appreciate is that they take special detailed care to make sure your hair cut and color is what you're looking for and the ladies are all so friendly and sweet too.

We had laughs smiles the whole morning making a what can be a stressful morning to instead, be filled with aloha vibes. These exceptional and talented ladies know exactly what they're doing which takes away from the stress on your special day. Each one of them has their own unique story as to how they landed at the island from previously working at the MAC counter in California to vacationing once and never wanting to leave the island or meeting their husband on the island but the common theme is their love for the island and the love of make up and hair which showed in their work. I've truly enjoyed this team immensely. The team really make sure you are feeling 100% before you leave to the venue, fixing last minute bobby-pin to changing the color of your lipstick completely because you didn't feel . Not to mention, they also took care of my mom and my MIL far after I left, making sure they're loving their make over as well. My wedding was back in Sept of 2022 and for me to now write a review shows how much of an impact they've made in my special day. I told them three things- I didn't want my ear to be sticking out, I didn't want my hair blowing in my face or sticking on me from the humidity and I'm very particular with the shape of my eyebrows. I spent days on Pinterest looking at different hair styles on how to hide my ear but the team took my inspo pictures and did their own thing, making it better than I can imagine. For any bride that's stressing out on finding the perfect team to do your hair and makeup, trust me when I say you can't go wrong with the MAB team. They really go above and beyond to do their part in making you look and feel fab as well as your whole bridal group. I had a total of 9 ladies hair and makeup done and you would not be able to tell who got worked on first or last. Thank you MAB team and with out a doubt Highly recommend this team.

Thank goodness I did not pay her. On the day of my wedding which was stated all over our emails and in phone messages, I waited for her in the parking lot of our condo in Hawaii for over an hour. She simply did not show up. I was stranded to do my own hair and makeup which sucked. I didn't have any product and minimal make up as it was a destination wedding and I had booked her before we left for Hawaii. Since I also spent an hour waiting for her, my maid of honor was only able to straighten her hair after trying to do mine and my mom's hair did not get done either. We were almost late for the wedding as we started all this stuff late. Ends up she thought my wedding was the Friday, and not the Thursday it was suppose to be. On top of that, she was lost and couldn't find the condo on the wrong wedding day. I'm sure Adiel is great but if you use her, ensure she knows EXACTLY what day your wedding is because she didn't show up for mine. Also, ensure she has exact directions to where you are, send her google maps, instructions, everything!!

When coming to Maui to finalize our wedding venue search, I decided that doing our engagment photos…read morethere would be best to test out someone for Hair & Makeup. I did my research, and thought that Jessica's pricing was very reasonable, and that her work resembled what I was looking for. With less than a week heads up, she was able to coordinate a time for my hair and makeup, and was so accommodating! I was very happy with the results after she was complete, but the real test came for the actual engagement shoot where we were on the beach getting splashed with ocean water, and battling wind. I have VERY fine blonde hair, and every piece stayed in place (and it was down in loose curls!), and my makeup look like it had just been put on despite hours in humid/wet conditions --- I was floored! Obviously with such a great experience, I booked her and her team for our wedding date once we settled on a venue. The results on our wedding day were nothing short of what I expected. She guided me through the process of how to do multiple (1 bride, 5 bridesmaids, 2 moms, and a groom's service) people's hair/makeup within tight timeframe, and even was able to take on an extra person for hair, and a groomsmen for a touchup last minute! My five bridesmaids are seasoned bridesmaids, in weddings spanning from Napa, to Palm Springs, to Italy and beyond and they all unanimously agreed that was HANDS DOWN the best hair/makeup experience they have ever had. The airbrush make up worked in humid Maui conditions all day, and with a variety of hair lengths/texture everyone was pleased with the results. I would recommend Jessica & her team to anyone looking for a seamless/stress free and beautiful hair/makeup experience on Maui for Weddings or any special events!

It speaks to her expertise that she could put on my eyelashes all while the hotel staff climbed ladders to fix the A/C, room service fluffed the pillows and bedding, dropped off a celebratory bottle and chocolates. She kept telling me we would later laugh about it and she's right. Aside from some general requests on how I wanted my hair and makeup to look, I trusted her to do her thing and she delivered. I went with wavy curls because I wore a flower crown. I'm always skeptical of curling my hair because it never holds but it held up beautifully even in the Maui heat. The airbrush makeup is amazing. Felt so light on my skin and looked great all night. Thank you, Jessica!
