Ugh... where do I even start?! I ordered the "Ultimate" fried seafood platter and it was anything but. I swapped the usual fish for ocean perch (bone) and received THREE tiny, toddler-sized fillet strips and that I paid an up-charge. Then came the shrimp situation -- 3 "spiced" steamed shrimp that had zero seasoning and tasted rubbery, plus 3 battered shrimp that showed up as rock-hard, nearly black coconut shrimp. Completely unacceptable. I'll give credit where it's due: the roll, fries, and crab cake were decent. That's the only reason this isn't a complete zero across the board. But the second order sealed it for me -- those stuffed shrimp should have NEVER left the kitchen. Hard, burnt, overcooked, inedible... The mac and cheese was watery and running all over the plate like soup. Only the fried okra was halfway decent. Cameron's seriously needs new cooks and better management. I spent over $50.00 and the food was black burned and they still put it in a bag. I did not see it until I got home and was shocked. The fish in the seafood platter was hard like it was refried had to throw it away. I brought a juice and seafood platter total $40 and the I added oysters which was $10.00 something and they were great but the freezer was swimming I just laid them on a napkin to soak up the grease. Order a broiled crab cake and rice and the crab cake was smaller than the bun one side was thinner than the other, and the crabcake was burnt on both sides. I called the store and inquired when was the oil changed and was told yesterday. The taste of the fish says differently. I won't be wasting any more of my money here. Family had recommended Cameron's for seafood and fish platters. After hearing how good their fried oysters, black bass, rockfish and perch platters were, I decided to give them a try. I ordered a pint of fried oysters, yes a pint for myself, the oysters were fresh, perfectly fried, crispy, not greasy and tasted delicious. Condiments included Cholula Hot Sauce and Heinz Tartar Sauce. The only additional item I could have used was a lemon wedge. Service was friendly, after ordering I was asked to return in 20 minutes, 19 minutes after ordering I walked back into Cameron's and my food was ready. Definitely will return for more oysters and will give fried fish options, especially the bone fish options a try. read more

On Lord Jesus, God, Allah, Buddha & my Mamma, I had a two second flash back from about 10 yrs ago before I walked into this restaurant. However, I ignored my intuition and placed an order. First thing wrong, my husband and I were the only customers in the store. My husband ordered cream of crab soup but, then he added on some steamed shrimp after seeing this other customer get her shrimp order. The man behind the counter got this lady's shrimp out of a large container on a front counter and it looked delicious and steamy. My husband's shrimp came from the back and it was not steamy nor delicious. We got home and, the two whiting fish sandwiches were stinky with multiple finger sized pieces of old dried up, flat, zero white flesh inside, fish, on two great big thick hard hamburger rolls ...oh with sesame seeds! The fries were dried up soggy yesterday's fries, re-fried. Trash. Totally inedible for me or my Mom. The cream of crab was watery with a few strings of crab and I would be redundant to mention the suspect shrimp from (the back) Stank! Waste of money. No! We didn't go back to ask for a refund. They tell her they canceled the order because they have a gas leak. If there's a gas leak why is the building open? Why the workers in there they treated my child really disrespectful. I purchased the jumbo crab cakes from the Cameron in Marlow Heights and I have never been so disappointed with crab cakes (4) at $20 each they were at least 70% filled with sweet cornbread and tasted like a dessert and to get slick with it they press a few pieces of lump crabmeat into the top to give the impression that they are mostly meat. This is the only place that I know of that has fried oysters. I order from this place about 2-3 a year. The last few times there have been shells in the fried oysters. Luckily, I know to chew them carefully but having to dodge shells in my fried oysters is driving me away. I'm going to do some research and find another place for oysters. The reason for the three starts instead of 1 or 2 stars is because the other foods that I've had there are good. Cameron's Seafood should go out of business. I ordered a flounder and popcorn shrimp plate. This dump doesn't even have fresh seafood. I get 4 pieces of fish from the bag with about 50 breaded shrimp, breaded with shrimp the size of a little planter's peanut. I paid 39.14 for the plate onto include delivery charges. I ordered 2 dozen crabs, half female, half male. I was telling my sister from NY how good our crabs are in Maryland. After spending $75, we were so disappointed. do not purchase raw oysters from this location!! i purchased a dozen and half and were told i had to shuck them myself (thats no problem) i get them home and notice they have an awfully fishy smell which is not good i start to shuck them every single oysters was bad 18 oysters discolored filled with brown spots and dead crabs .. i called the location they told me to save them and bring them back in for them to determine whether they are bad or not. i of course threw them away because i didnt want smell in my home . i am out of oysters and money stay away from this location read more
