They sell fresh seafood to go and a selection of dine-in options. Many of the seafood prices are listed as Market Price. The crab sandwich was $23 with tax and there is an up-charge for use of credit card. The crabcake is thick with lump crabmeat. My sandwich was perfectly seasoned and prepared in authentic Maryland style. The bun with lettuce and tomato fresh were and tasty, too. The sandwich was perfection. The service was efficient. The clerk didn't waste time with pleasantries. The food takes awhile to prepare. I waited about 15 minutes after I ordered as they fresh bake the crab cakes. A tip jar sits by the cash register. The place is cute inside decorated in a harbor/seafood theme. There are 5 tables inside and 2 counters that seat 4 people each. It's the kind of place that you'd meet a friend for lunch and a beer and hang out. There are a couple of Adirondack chairs out front. A tv monitor was playing basketball reruns. The crab cakes can be purchased unbaked to go (along with a host of other seafood). There is a small full bar and coke products. Food came out at just the right pace between courses. Ambience was only "ok"... I did notice that things looked a bit worn. And one thing that bothered me was that there were ceiling tiles that were badly water stained and sagging... nothing active, but it was very unsightly. Given that they are very easy to replace, leaving them there just made the place feel less "special evening" ambience to more like "a diner" which is a shame for a place i expected to be more classy. As for the food we had lots of positives to say. We tried the crab bisque appetizer which was thick and creamy with just the right amount of seasoning and crab meat. The portion for a first course was generous. We also got the steamed mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce. The mussels were cooked perfectly. The onion rings were thick cut, beer batter dipped. They were hot and crisp and the portion like everything else here was generous. In the end we did need a box to bring some of our entrees home. We left very satisfied. So I was pretty satisfied with the food and the service. "Yup"- so I followed Rae, the owner, into the shop. I was really looking for jumbos but I know the drill-they are hard to get. Rae was out of jumbos but managed to get a bag #1 males together for me. The "cherry on top" was one Jumbo male. Got home, and immediately fired up the steamer. Dumped them in (all alive and kicking!!) and then started to eat. (The jumbo was dessert). After having eaten 6-7 crabs. I was full. Started putting them away and there were 10 left! So while Rae didn't have the size crab I wanted, she did me a solid and threw a bunch more crabs in.
