Not one of the local mom-and-pops that I tried to patronise first returned any of my calls, website requests or Yelp requests. Bit my tongue, filled out my request and shipped all my negs to ScanCafe. First nit: I couldn't find a way to request both the prints and the image scans in one form, which was annoying. So I just shut up and issued two orders separately. Received the link to see the scans, at which time I was required to pay my balance, and then: second nit. It took forever to get my prints ... but I got them, and they were as good as could be expected from old negatives. The really good thing was that my original negatives also came back well-packed and pristine - so we do have trust. And I liked the online model - worked well for ordering and examining my scans when they appeared. I expect to return to ScanCafe for more neg scans and to try some hardcopy print scans (and probably at least a few restorations/touchups). I was overall very pleased and would recommend them to anyone.

I was looking for QuickTime or Apple ProRes. Apparently I saw old information (they said) where their web page said they digitize to QuickTime. What I got was MP4 files. Some of them were digitized OK, a couple had bad color- the original tapes colors were fine. Communication with and within this company is not good. When I FINALLY got my tapes back some boxes were missing though thank God I have all my videotapes. But they were all a mish mash and didn't correlate with the numbers on the boxes. Same with the digitized files: I called to specifically ask them to label them with the number on the tape and cassette but they didn't do that. This company has wasted a lot of my time. If you care about the job being done well and timely do not use this company. I'm not sure how they stay in business.

They have clear pricing and instructions on their website and offer discounts throughout the year. They quoted a ~2 week turnaround time but the photos were ready in just over a week! Highly recommend Video MVP.

They were as good as the original tapes and probably even improved the quality since the tapes were not that clear when played on our old machine. I hope they will be in business a long time because I keep finding old tapes I need to convert. My mom was so happy with the result! His approach was to find the gaps everyone else was ignoring. The biggest shift came from his coaching on how we approach city managers and PIOs. Instead of walking in and pitching a technical service or a slideshow, Chuck had us focus on the City's legacy. He taught us to stop talking about data and start talking about how they can rebuild trust with their residents and local businesses. That one shift in perspective changed everything about our sales calls. It turned us from a vendor into a partner they actually want to listen to. After seeing some of these other reviews, and reading the one about the person thinking the law…read morefirm was writing their own reviews, I decided to tell you the truth about mr. Cody cogswell! I originally hired him to represent me in a false allegation of domestic battery, along with a divorce case. mr. Cody cogswell greets represent me on both of those, because I had a copy of a Facebook conversation between my ex-wife and another person where the allegations of the domestic abuse or discussed. In this discussion, my ex-wife admitted that there had never been physical abuse, and based upon the information mr. Caldwell had, he agreed to represent me for a flat fee of just over $3,500. However, several Family Court hearings were held where in punishment, or reprimand, was issue towards me, where the judge did not even allow me to present witnesses are testimonies in those hearings, and Cody calls will allow the judge to be blatantly violative of my rights and did nothing to report this immoral judge for his blatant violations. Nor did he fight on my behalf to make a new hearing be held. The hearing I'm talking about was one where CPS was present telling my attorney and the judge that if my son were to return to his mother's home, my son's life was in Jeopardy, as he had almost been killed there by the mother's boyfriend, whom had been locked up on the charge of assault on the child. The judge was still ordering my child to go back to that house, not allow me to present witnesses, or evidence saying my son's life was in Jeopardy! Cody calls will allow this to happen! Then two weeks before I go to trial on the domestic battery, Cody Caldwell tells me give him $2,500 more, or take a plea agreement, or he's dismissing himself in my case. I was left with just two options of either going by myself with no attorney, or taking a plea agreement. I was forced into taking the plea agreement. I thought Cody cogswell had presented the evidence to the judge, as he went and had a discussion with the prosecutor about this Facebook conversation where I can fetch him was made that no crime at a turd. Mr. Cogswell lied to me and said that those are inadmissible, when in fact they are admissible. Not only that, he never even presented the evidence to the judge to allow the judge the opportunity to decide if it was a miserable or not. I found out that nothing was ever presented to the judge by inquiring into the judge's office recently in hopes of having my charge amended down. Cody cogswell hid evidence, conspired with the prosecutor to hide such evidence, and failed to present evidence before the judge that showed innocence! Then he tried to extort $2,500 more out of me, if I wanted to go to trial, when he had already previously agreed to represent me for a flat fee! Do not trust this man, nor place your family's future in his hands!
