Update: Sep19 2022 Summary:…read moreI rarely write online review... Unless there is something exceptional.. Just get back today from a quick root canal follow up visit with Dr. Burgener @ Wheaton office ... Couldn't be more happier with the result of root canal.( All the issues with tooth were fixed in just one previous visit ) ************************************************************ Below more details: ( For patients whoever want to know more) The Situation with my tooth was complicated (before root canal).. During the first visit , Dr. Burgener immediately point out there was serious Periodental Pocket around the tooth..If it is left untreated.. The tooth probably can not be saved eventually (even after root canal)... From that moment , I realize why she become Excellent Surgeon..(Looking at the root causes of a issue, foresee all other problem in the mouth that will cause future root canal failure...) Gum issues/ Disease is a different function(Periodentist) I was expecting her to say " After Root canal.. Suggest to see Periodentist) But she never say anything like that... To my surprise, As a talented Endodontist, She come up with a creative solution( Special filling with medication to cover the gum area).. So here I am , Within 2 Weeks after root canal.. My Gum @ that Problem tooth area come back( almost fully recovered) As we all know, Periodental pockets / Disease are difficult to treat...and very very slow recovery.. or in certain cases.. Can not be reversed at all. I feel I owe Dr Burgener a Big "Thank you".. She fix both the tooth problem( Root canal) and Periodental issue( Gum Pocket) in one visit for root canal. She is doing extra work( not her function at all) and don't even mention about it...( My original thought was I might need Periodental surgery or at least root scaling and planing with a Periodentist) Really appreciated for her Kindness. ************************************************************* BTW. One of my friend check on me lately and ask me how I am doing after root canal.. During the conversation , We find out we are seeing the same Endodontist(Dr Burgener) I was thrilled to know she drive all the way to Hinsdale ( That is a one hour drive for her..) to see Dr Burgener two years ago for a front tooth root canal.. The minute the two of us find out we are seeing the same doctor. Both of us smiled with a big relief... as we know we are in good hands and get top notch Endodontic care. My friend also give Dr. Burgener Thumbs up.

This was…read moremy second root canal, the first being years ago--which wasn't a great experience, so I was nervous! First visit is a consultation, and I liked him right away--realistic, not rushed, not pushy, and confident. Immediately no longer nervous for actual root canal. There was no pain- none-during the treatment. Only after, which is my own fault for delaying treatment and letting it get so bad! Called to ask a question the next day, and the receptionist immediately spoke to him while I was on hold and got back to me. The reviews are true, he really is the best. Highly recommend!

This review is based on my two experiences. My first experience with Dr Jukas was great…read more Unfortunately my 2nd experience w Dr Wong was not. Due timing and pain I took the first avail appointment with Dr Wong. I waited one hr for my appointment to start. I could hear Dr Wong w his other patient talking. Sounded like he Spend more time talking about his Telsa, cars, etc versus patient treatment. Which is fine if that patient was ok with. But I am sitting in the next room still waiting for my consult which is already one hour late. Dr. Wong didn't acknowledge or apologize for the long wait. Without looking at my mouth, a 2 sec look at the X-ray rambled a lot of confusing information. He spent more time on making notice of how my hair was done, looking at my shoes, ear rings etc, which became uncomfortable. Dr. Wong was very arrogant, and what he claims is his ice breaker was to ask about my nationality.... He questioned my last name and asked if I was sure my last name was from the ethinicity. Than he questioned if i was married. My nationality is and was irrelevant to the purpose of my visit. He clearly has not had any DEI training. Dr Wong didnt believe his ice breaker is/was culturally insensitive and told me that I was sensitive and he would make note of it. Dr Wong than went to use a common foods in my culture as an analogy to describe my issue. Dr Wong was all over the place explaining the treatment place, bc in the middle of his explaination he kept making comments about my look... which he justified as being "observant". He should be more observant in the care he provides not a persons looks including the items they are wearing. His front desk couldn't explain the itemize bill or what they call care plan Dr Wong was ready to take my tooth out that minute bc they said he was quick and had an opening. They could clearly see I was confused by what was going on. I declined to take action bc I needed to consult my dentist bc I was surprised by Dr Wong saying I had a bacteria eating away at my bone. After thinking over and waiting for the email plan, I called back for an appointment w Dr Jurkas as a 2nd opinion since I had a good and educational experience for my first root canal. I clearly remember Dr J saying why try to save the tooth first. To my surprise Dr Wong called me bc they shared w him that I was not happy w my experience w him and wanted a 2nd opinion. I brought to Dr Wong's attention the above concerns I did not like. Dr Wong was condescending by responding some ppl are slow to understand. I stopped him there and again brought to his attention his rude and unprofessional response. During our call when I brought to his attention the insensitivity of my culture he thought it was ok bc he had a lot of friend in the "x" culture. I than brought to his attention that is not my culture... He clearly was looking at my file picture and again made and assumption. He didn't catch it on his own that he was associating me w another culture when i was telling him what my culture was. Dr Wong was very arrogant and rude to say Dr Jurkas was not going to be able to do the work I needed and that he works under him. Dr Wong response was a narcissist response. I decided to end the call by saying I need To take my services somewhere else. I asked for the email w the recap if his consult I still hadn't received it. 10 min later Dr Wong called me back I sent him to voicemail bc I was working. To my surprise I get a unprofessional text message saying... "I know you are screening calls."To close the loop I acknowledge the email being received: I thought we were done...No he calls me again... now this was starting to be harassment. I picked up the call and just listen to Dr Wong ramble... "I can give you recommendations for a new consultative exam. " Than he started to explain to me what should've happen day one. The worse, worse experience by one Dr Wong. Which is unfortunate bc my experience w Dr J was pleasant. Dr Wong clearly wanted my money versus helping understand what is in my best oral interest

They "fit" me in for a 10 minute slot, took an X-ray, told me they couldn't do the root canal, and referred me to a place that charged me $1,000. I expressed hesitation KNOWING it would be more expensive as a specialty place and was told it would be about the same if he could do it. THEN, they had the audacity to charge my insurance and bill me for $45 for literally doing nothing. I paid $45 for a damn referral. Go elsewhere!

They make you feel like family and do such a good job making personal relationships (this is hard when you're only in every 6 months!). I saw Dr. Nihill for YEARS and was nervous when he retired because I always felt so comfortable. Since then, I have been seeing Dr. Brambert who is FABULOUS! He is so gentle, walks you through every step of what he's doing and his thought process. I am so happy to have a new dentist that I trust. While I've only seen Dr. McBeth twice ever, I've only ever had pleasant experiences with him too and he always stops to say hello even though I am not his patient. The front office staff are kind, attentive and helps me schedule appointments well in advance so I can see my favorite hygienist (who is so gentle and sweet!). I can't say enough great things about all of the staff, their patient care and the warmness of the office. There is a reason why my grandparents, parents, cousin and sibling have all been going for years!

I would not recommend anyone go to a doctor that cannot submit proper insurance claims and care for their patients properly Good Afternoon Dr. Cygan, I spoke with DentalQuest and Blue Cross Blue Shield regarding my son's referral. I began an appeal because they stated that they did not have enough documentation to approve the referral. Please see the timeline below of what has transpired since our visit in February. Estimated Timeline: We came to your office in February after Noah's dentist at Iroquois Dental stated that he did not have enough room for his wisdom teeth and that the top impacted teeth were coming in at an angle that would not allow for safe eruption. I followed up on the referral 2-3 weeks later and was told BCBS/Dentaquest had not determined coverage. - This was FALSE as no request for service was sent in. I trusted your office and waited again. I followed up with your office again in early April and was told that it was resubmitted and I would receive a call/email back. My son broke his elbow in early April and while following up on a prior authorization for his elbow I was told there was NO REQUEST for wisdom teeth removal on file. I called your office VERY upset since it had been 2 months and nothing was filed with insurance even though I was told on 2 separate occasions that it had been filed and resubmitted. The insurance company called that same day while I was on the phone to make sure you had the right information to file the prior authorization/request for service. Fast Forward - to May 12, 2022, nearly 3 months after we visited I called to find out the status of the claim and your office advised it was denied and that you don't send in appeals. I spent 30 minutes or so on the phone with BCBS community/DentalQuest community to appeal the decision and was told that there wasn't enough documentation provided by Dental Surgeons LTD to make the determination - no notes regarding spacing issues, no notes regarding the angle at which the teeth are coming in and she couldn't find any x rays. X-rays were taken by Iroquois Dental and sent to your office and also taken when he visited in February both sets show there isn't enough room and the angle of the teeth on top is an issue. What they received was "just a very basic request to remove the wisdom teeth with IV Sedation" Your office told me TODAY that 40-60% of your prior authorizations are denied with BCBS community/DentalQuest, I asked while I was requesting the appeal if this is the case with all oral surgeons and she stated "the % of denials is much lower when a doctor submits office notes and x rays explaining the reason for the request" The original Prior Authorization Number is The Appeal Number is I look forward to hearing back from you once the documents are submitted.
