The doctor came in a moment later. She was very pleasant and listened to the issues. She did a few minor tests and made some recommendations. I happened to…read morehave a back appointment with Dr Pitt, was calling to cancel, his Mother who was working there asked me about what was going on, she had me hold, came back and said Dr Pitt wants you to go get an MRI, right now and then come to the Office. I did, my test showed L4 and L5 vertebra, the top one was rocking over the bottom one putting pressure on my bladder, causing the frequent urination!!! That was a Friday, Dr Pitt said you need emergency surgery on Monday at 4:00pm!!!! I didn't hav back pain, I was a strong 66 year old, no health issues, not over weight, worked out etc. If I had not had the surgery, and the vertebrate slipped, I would have been paralyzed.! The bladder nerves were being damaged- called the Cauda Equina syndrome! Prior to surgery Dr Pitt explained I may have permanent bladder damage and may have to wear a colostomy bag. After 6 hours of surgery, not only did he repair my spine with fusion, a titanium cage etc, he was able to save the nerves affecting my bladder!! Dr Pitt and his office during my rehab and months of wearing a brace were so kind and always explained everything in detail to me, including reviewing my x-rays in the Office! I am grateful to Dr Pitt and his group for having the knowledge and immediate reaction to my condition. My back is fine today, I'm blessed to have been referred to Dr Pitt and wouldn't hesitate to go to him again. Sounds like the lawsuit against him was by someone who needed money, read FFs review!! Scheduling is insane. It took me over 12 weeks to get in even though I told them I only had access…read moreto my insurance for 15 weeks and I'd initially been referred for six sessions. The scheduling person promised me they always had tons of openings if I got on their wait list, but the openings never came. (Then they told me it was because they kept those for established patients, but those also never opened up for me, so I think it's just extremely hard to schedule--and they can't or won't accomodate people who may need to get in sooner.) The physical therapist is pretty good and gives a lot of feedback. Some of the techs are good, others seem to be on a bit of a power trip or not paying attention and kind of just going through the motions. I think I had a different tech every time I went in. Working with the techs is often about the same as doing the exercises at home (with added bike/treadmill time); they don't really give good pointers or anything. Spooner is very slow about updating exercises in the app. You basically have to remind them. I'm glad the AC works again; it gets pretty hot in there. Also didn't realize there were more convenient locations when I booked, but that was my fault.

Dr. Domer was able to explain the likelihood of whatvwas going on and shared a story of his own. The waiting area was packed when we got there and it did take a little while to actually get back but I was able to enjoy the company I was with while in the waiting area and Domer got us out quickly after we checked in. I know, if I ever require surgery, I hope he's my doc!
