As with any governmental agency, the key to getting in and out in a timely manner lies in having your paperwork in order, so I searched the web for what was needed ahead of time and came with everything in hand. There was a slight hiccup because my insurance company hadn't correctly filled out a form, but the staff member helping me allowed me to step aside and resolve the issue while she helped other customers, then jump back to the front of the line once things were in order. All told, I probably spent 45 minutes here, which is as good as can be expected given the circumstances, and the one thing that went wrong wasn't even their fault. I can't believe I'm saying this, but guys.. give bureaucracy a chance.

You people need to realize they have rules to go by just like any other Job! It's a contracted office not state owned!! If you have a problem you need to go directly to the state. They have more pull. Have all you documents and there won't be a problem get in and get out!! I sat there and watched all the girls and they're all very nice. I seen some really big bullies come in there and call them names!! People are cruel!! I wouldn't go to any other DMV if they paid me to. All I can say is the Wanda lady was rude and Shirley is so sweet and has a lot of patience! She needs a raise and the other girls as well. Wanda needs to go back into the office and apologize to her!! Thank you for letting me write this review google!! Be nice to the ladies at Eldon DMV don't ruin it for the rest of us nice people.

Well, we didn't receive a notice because the DMV never "legally" switched our tags from our previous car to our new car. However, his supervisor and the director much less so. All in all, I left with new tags and I cant complain about the young man that assisted me.

That said the driver's license office is one of my least favorite places to go. I don't like to wait in lines and the new one in Chesterfield is a bad place. I had to drive out to my farm to take care of something on a Tuesday and knew I would be driving right past the Owensville, MO driver's license office so I brought the Real Id requirements with me and decided to give it a go there. I walked in around 11am and there was one older couple being waited on by both clerks. Score! I'm next. The lady who helped me looked over everything I had to make sure I had everything necessary and then asked me to have a seat while she got everything processed. She was polite and efficient. She was clearly a busy body and asked numerous personal questions to ascertain what I was doing in her office when I clearly lived in St. Louis County. I expect that in this small town and eventually I gave in after she realized my last name was the same as my uncles' who she apparently sees every morning at breakfast! Real ID ordered and one more thing to check off my list. It was $12 since I was replacing a current driver's license and not renewing as mine doesn't expire for four more years. I'll be back!
