£32 for a mismatch collection of nails in a colour that doesn't resemble the swatch i chose, done by 3 different people who had different ways do finishing the previous persons work, making my nails look like i did them myself with a acrylic kit bought from china. i literally never write reviews, especially not reviews that are negative, but i'm so dissatisfied and disappointed by what they gave me, the only positive it that is took only an hour and not any more - which is what i expected. my index finger nail has already detached underneath after a day, and my nails are all totally different lengths i don't know what the guy saw when he was measuring them and trimming to size. got a loyalty card SERIOUSLY doubt i'll be using it read more

I had been holding off on getting a pedicure for a while because they were pretty expensive, and it was winter so no one was seeing my feet. Finally, after a particularly difficult week, I decided to treat myself at Cambridge Nails & Spa. Most of the pedicure was okay - the feet soaking, nail shaping, etc. However, they used some sort of scraper to remove the thick skin off the bottoms of my feet. I was amazed at how much there was when suddenly I felt a sharp pain - they had removed so much skin on the bottom of pinky toe that it started to bleed. So much for a relaxing pedicure - the pedicurist apologized and finished my nails up. For the next week or so, it hurt to walk because if the toe touched anything it'd start hurting again. And they still charged me £30. Not worth it. At all. read more

I had a simple manicure here, with clear nail polish applied. I thought everything was ok, but the machine used to trim my cuticles (?) seems to have damaged my nails... I'd never seen such a machine and this has never happened at other nail places in the past. I did really want to like this place and perhaps some of the other manicurists are better, but my experience wasn't great. read more

I wanted to love this place....... ...... But unfortunately I just can't say it's great. The owner (I presume so anyway, the tattooed guy) is really good; the other staff.. not so much. I have had super long acrylic nails form Alluring in King Street for months, I thought I'd swap to this new salon due to the lovely inside of the shop and how it's a better location for me but I'm disappointed that 6 days after getting my nail extensions done (Not as long as I usually have them for a change either) they break off!!!!!! I went back and paid £25 to a young male technician to have them removed and asked for shellac to be put on. The guy then proceeded to ask what I did as a job, then told me that it was my fault that 7 nails had split at the sides and one had split totally though. After 7 days!!!!!!! What a joke. I won't be returning to this salon as it's been a total waste of my money and time and I don't appreciate being told that I am the reason my nails have split and broke. If it was one nail I'd understand, but alot of them splitting seems a bit fishy to me. Disappointing. Don't waste your time. read more

This nail bar is a chop shop. The staff are poorly trained and are possibly being exploited. The staff barely speak English and avoid conversation. Any treatment you're having is conducted by a rotating mix of 2-4 people, some of whom clearly don't care about the experience or health safety of the clients. I went four times hoping my bad luck was an anomaly, but it wasn't. My nails were completely destroyed and took one year to recover because the staff over-use drills and create permanent damage in the natural nail. When I mentioned to the person working on me that what he is doing is causing me pain, he went into a rage and shouted at me in the shop. I would never recommend this shop. If you walk out without damage you're lucky. I personally would boycott putting money into the pocket of the Cambridge Nails owner until they address these issues. In the meantime, for my own nail needs I switched over Kimono Nails on Lensfield Road. I have been very happy ever since. They owners of the shop - lovely ladies who also have lovely nails - do all the work themselves. They treat their clients well and really know what they're doing. My nails recovered beautifully. read more

Worst nail experience. The customer service is completely unacceptable. They do your nails how they want your nails to be done not how you want them. They will shape your nails how they want them to be shaped without even asking if it is okay with you. The only good thing about this place is the music they play. Other than that, don't waste your time here. There are plenty of other places that I'm sure will give you much better service. Left feeling unsatisfied with my nails and toes. read more

Extremely rude staff here and they seem to be avoiding tax by refusing card payments and not handing out receipts. I got sat down and they were almost ready to start and then decided to serve someone else before me. So I waited a few minutes until they could be bothered to find someone. When I came to pay I was told it was £20 and I tried to pay on a card - they display signs that they accept card payments. They asked for cash and I didn't have enough. I insisted on paying with a card and they said, no, it's £1 cheaper with cash. I wasn't fussed about this so continued trying to pay by card but they continued to refuse. So, I reluctantly said I'd get cash and they reiterated it was £1 cheaper. They then refused to let me leave to do that unless I left something behind (they wanted some ID). I pointed out I was trying to pay so surely they could trust me, but they suggested I might leave and not come back. Again, reluctantly I gave in. So, I left something behind and got cash, came back, handed over £20 and then when I asked for my £1 change from £20 they refused, saying that they had not meant it was £1 less with cash (rather that it was £1 more with a card). In spite of my protests they absolutely refused. I've never had my nails done professionally before but it looks a bit scrappy and I thoroughly regret the whole experience. read more

I had both manicure and pedicure with nail polish applied at the same time two months ago. I paid £40. The nail polish was OK for five days. After that, it looked terrible. This morning I had again manicure and pedicure with nail polish applied. This time I paid £60. When I asked for the receipt the owner said that he does not provide receipts to his customers. He did not explain why I needed to pay £20 more than the last time. That was strange. One guy who works there wrote the total amount paid on a small, dirty piece of paper. Absolute crap. Worse than I would have done myself at home. The place looked busy when I went in so I asked how long the wait was. The girl with glasses said 25 minutes. An hour and 15 minutes later I still hadn't been seen and had learned that she told everyone that came in 25 minutes. Several people in there were complaining, a few left. They had no system of who was first and were working on people that came in later, when people who were there first sat in chairs at the counter with no-one doing their nails. I was eventually seen for a manicure and it was very rushed and the ridges were not sanded at all. The first coat goes further back into the cuticle than the 2nd so they look terrible. Worst nail pace ever - you're better off doing your own at home. You'd get a better manicure from Michael J Fox. read more
