(Immature adult albeit.) Sadly having gone on a weekday, we found a lot of the food places closed and more importantly the plush shop was closed. Drusillas is a very cleverly worked space; it looks small but the way all the animals and spaces are laid out, it feels more like you're exploring around each corner. The price is fair for the amount of animals, interactive little games and the few rides they have there.. plus the fun little adventure maze. Whilst yes, there are attractions more child orientated, there is more than enough for us children at heart to enjoy too.

Built on the site of part of the Cuckmere River bed, the reservoir is an oval shape, with a long curving dam. The maximum depth is 37ft (11.3m) and its total capacity is 3546 million litres of water, all abstracted from the Cuckmere River in winter. The 49 hectare site was designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest in 1985, and is also a Local Nature Reserve. It contains a diverse range of habitats, which in turn support some 173 species of bird, including a winter population of 10,000 wildfowl. The site has hides for birdwatching, and also provides some of the best trout fishing in the South East of England (tel: 01323 870810). The water company also organises school nature trips, including pond dipping. The reservoir path also provides a reasonably level walking trail, which, as well as wildlife, also offers lovely views of the South Downs. A walking leaflet (http://www.eastsussex.gov.uk/NR/rdonlyres/047A41DB-1684-4128-AADD-1C508D15F780/0/ArlingtonReservoirWalkWebversion.pdf) is available on the East Sussex County Council website or you can get a hard copy by phoning 01273 482250. I personally have recommended this place to people wanting to go to see some beautiful sights.

It offers big views of the bay and is pleasingly stepped up to a sea wall. Whilst it is pebbly rather than sandy, it's quieter too. Today, an August Sunday, there were no more than twenty people visible in total. Some were fishing from the shore and it was fascinating to watch, most simply enjoyed the tranquility. Immediately behind the sea wall there's copious free parking and behind this miles of salt marsh and grazing sheep. Lovely - look at the photo's! I'd recommend you bring your food & drink with you. Brighton it's not. Foodies will appreciate the farm shop in Pett & the decent fishmonger in Winchelsea Beach (a weird muddle of bungalows nearby) selling local plaice & lobster. Nice. Upon arriving one of us had tripped on the ramp directly outside the door as this was not clearly taped and made apparent to everyone that there was a trip hazard straight outside the door, as this happened the security man in the door picked on our friend and decided to make it apparent that she was not going to be allowed to participate and that a manager had to assess if she was fit enough to play.. To which we stated not only did she trip in the ramp but she is unsteady on her feet on a normal day due to her disability, however they did not take that into account and still persisted to accuse her of being intoxicated and unfit to play.. We were then eventually allowed to go inside to order our drinks to which our friend who was picked on at the door was not allowed any alcohol to which we still explained her disability to which they persisted that she was not allowed and Alcohol, shortly after this they said she was unable to play all together and that they would refund her, however we still did not find this very fair given the circumstances the manager still persisted to single my disabled friend out and make the situation worse, and the manager did not give any sympathy to the fact they had made my friend cry over this whole situation.. We then got some drinks at the bar, which were disgusting, might I add that I ordered a gin and lemonade, however I would say this was just a bland drink of ice, more than anything else.. I find it very frustrating that not only did they accuse my friend of being intoxicated, they are more than happy to serve you alcohol at the bar as much as you want, yet they then say if your too intoxicated you are unable to play yet they are happy to pour out as many drinks possible... We spoke to the security and manager on multiple occasions to explained the situation however they couldn't of cared any less and where completely unreasonable given the situation.. Before leaving a few people decided to use the toilets before going elsewhere to which we were greeted by a few women who were so pissed they could hardly go to the toilet themselves, let alone play crazy golf, however they were given entry and were allowed to play crazy golf as well as keep getting drinks at the bar.. Based on this experience I would not recommend as they are very unreasonable and unfair to customers, even more so discriminating people who are disabled, highly disappointed and a waste of time, will definitely not return.

Situated between Lewes and Eastbourne, it's become a very popular (and award-winning) seasonal visitor attraction, and raises a lot of money for local charities in the process. A number of trails are provided, some just through the bluebell woods, but others taking in more countryside, if that appeals to you. You can walk for up to 4 miles if you plan it well, or just over half a mile (1km) if all all you want to see is the bluebells. Maps are available as you enter. The farm has a tea-room with cakes and sandwiches, as well as stalls run by local charities selling gifts, greetings cards, books, home-made jams and chutneys; and a farmers' market. This is still a working farm, so if you want to, you can even watch the cows being milked in the dairy! The website has full details of all the attractions. The main walk is suitable for wheelchairs (albeit rather bumpy), and mobility scooters can be hired. Full details are on the website. Dogs are allowed (but must be on a lead) but cyclists are not allowed to ride through the woods. (A rail is provided to which bikes can be securely locked.) Car parking is in an adjacent field. There's a picnic area, though you can't picnic in the woods themselves. The farm hosts school visits as well - the woodlands are an important wildlife conservation habitat. In 2011 entry for adults was £4.

There's a good under 3s section with a ball pit and 2-stage climbing frame (soft). There are some sit-on soft toys and some blocks. The floor is a bit suspect and there's a bit of an old smell to the area - nothing terrible but you do notice it. The play equipment appears safe but could be in better condition. The main soft play is a triple height affair with climbing, balls, slides and chutes. It's safe and in better condition than the toddler area. At weekends and after school this place can get packed but, during the day it's not too bad. A cafe facility is available serving teas, coffees, soft drinks and snacks. The prices are reasonable. Tables are kept away from the soft play being behind a low wall. They are OK but there's not a good view of the play area meaning that it's hard to have a coffee and take care of your child. For many parents this just seems to mean that they don't watch their child and so you do have to be careful that your child doesn't get set upon by unrully kids. It's excellent for an afternoon stroll or a cycle ride, and you can access the main coast road from any of the above-mentioned places, if you want to catch one of the frequent buses back to town. The walk is actually a sea-wall, built originally in the 1930s to prevent to erosion of the chalk cliffs. It has been rebuilt and enhanced many time since then, most recently after a series of cliff falls a few years ago. Walking along it - especially on a bright, sunny day - is almost a surreal experience. After a few minutes, you leave behind the sprawl of the modern Brighton Marina with its shops and flats with their legoland architecture, and experience the contrast of the dazzling white chalk cliffs, 25m high, on the one side, with the changing shore on the other: now rockpools, now shingle, now great rocks. The white of the cliffs and the concrete on a sunny day really can be overpowering - sunglasses are essential. As well as the stunning geology - all manner of fossils have been found in the cliffs - it is the nesting site for several types of birds, and the rock pools have the usual array of shore life. There are regular access points (steps) to the sea every 100m or so. There are small beaches at each of Ovingdean, Rottingdean and Saltdean, with a small cafe (and toilets) at Ovingdean. The pubs and shops of Rottingdean are a few minutes' walk from the path. There are no life guard facilities at any of the beaches, so swimming or paddling is at your own risk (plenty of people do it). The attraction is that the beaches are much quieter than those in central Brighton. Access via ramps (for wheelchairs, prams etc) is available at the Marina (next to Asda car park), Rottingdean and Saltdean, but not Ovingdean, where there is a long flight of steps. The slopes at Rottingdean are quite steep. Users are also advised to take care during storms, when the sea crashes over the sea wall!
