It's also reassuring that some instructors appear to have been there for years, which feels like a good sign. The birthday parties were easy and low-stress. We dropped off food and decorations ahead of time, and the staff handled setup, led the kids through activities, and served food very efficiently. Pricing also felt reasonable compared to some other party venues. Having Mountain Mike's Pizza right next door was an added bonus for party food and convenience. The main downside is that weekend preschool morning classes can be difficult to get into because they fill up quickly. Otherwise, we've really loved our experiences at The Little Gym!

The thoughtful holiday celebrations, the creative projects they proudly brought home, the occasional photos that brightened my day, and all the little moments the teachers made special helped us feel connected even while I was at work. And finally, the friendships. There is something uniquely special about preschool families. (The outdoor play area has shade for the kids and soft padded areas ... no tan bark!) Learning and Development: I'm amazed at how much my daughter learned over the year. They focused on the things you would expect like ABC's and numbers but also STEM experiments and social development (managing feelings, consent/boundaries, and relationships). Celebrations: when searching for schools, I came across a number of them that didn't celebrate holidays, birthdays and the like - which was a little sad to me. I understand it isn't for everyone but I wanted my daughter to be able to celebrate the fun stuff... gateway was an awesome place for that. They hosted a really fun Halloween event, a few family events and an adorable graduation ceremony (caps, gowns, awards, flowers, goody bags and all!). Teachers: They are truly wonderful. My daughter absolutely adored her preschool teacher (we had teacher Jianna) and I know all the parents in the class felt the same. How unsettling can this be for a parent! Comparing now to back then (over 2 year ago now), I'm so happy we switched out. She absolutely loves incredibly caring teachers Anna, Augul and Mark led by amazing educator and owner Natasha. We had switched from neighborhood SF childcare to Musical castle in San Bruno and had reservations about much longer commute but it proved to be the best decision we could make for our daughter's childcare. She is getting bilingual education, learning to read and write in Russian and English. There is math, art projects, music and dance rehearsals several times a week. Daycare provides wonderful homemade meals, activities in the park and amazing costumed seasonal kids performances for the parents. I feel incredibly lucky and grateful that we were able to find the childcare place that goes above and beyond to provide kids with the best preparation for school and create happy childhood memories
