After finding a nice sports coat at the Jos A Banks outlet that needed slight tailoring I was…read moredirected to this location. Since my office is within a mile of this store it was perfect. My quest for a suit/suit coat for a wedding took me from one end of the men's clothing spectrum to the other. My first stop at another store had me trying on a fantastic sports coat that I later realized was priced at $1,200. I politely excused myself and headed for the other end of the spectrum. The other end didn't work for me either. When I went to this Jos A Banks store to get my coat tailored I looked at the rack in my size and knew I needed to bring my fashion consultant (wife) back to take a look. Between yesterday and today we spent about 4 hours in the store updating my aged wardrobe. Several coats, shirts, ties, and slacks later I'm very satisfied. I was also lucky enough to drop into a sale and find several coats on clearance that fit perfectly. And I have to admit that were it not for the sale I would have probably stopped with the one coat, slacks and shirt and made it work with one of my old ties. Joseph Banks happened to be running a promotion of "buy one, get one free" pants, so I called my dad (who is the store's biggest fan) and he came running down to meet us and get a good deal. The employee that helped us grabbed my boyfriend's sports coat and started pairing it with different pants until he had found the optimum pair. Unfortunately, the slacks that looked stunning with the jacket were not "ready-to-wear," they needed to be hemmed. We asked if there was any chance they could be hemmed before the store closed that evening but the employee told us the tailor was leaving as we spoke. He stopped us and ran to the back and five minutes later returned and said "go put them on so we can measure, they'll be done in less than an hour." Great! 45 minutes later we were called back to the store and my dad and boyfriend went in on an order together and got two pairs of nice dress slacks for $50 each! Not a bad deal at all. Great service and great clothing, I bought a cool pink and navy striped tie for my boyfriend while we were there.

I have a love/hate relationship with K&G I love them when they get full stock, and frustrated when…read morethey don't. There's K&G before Covid which was 5* most of the time for variety and selections, workers ready to help you and then there's K&G after Covid...less selection on colors for suits and hardly any help in all departments. My hubby has a closet full of suits and the last 4 times we went he left empty handed. He said they have a lot suits but nothing he wanted. He's looking for classic browns, a solid black suit that has a nice sheen-not mat and not pin stripes or styled like a lounge singer. Same with navy and brown/tan. And they never have his size. Everything is way too big or slim fit and tight and he hates that. They had a guy tailoring for them for years and now it's someone else who said he wouldn't put a cuff on our grandson's pant leg because kids don't get that. We found a pair of dress shoes for our other grandson in his size which is 7 in mens and it had a mismatched 7.5 wide with it. After scouring with a cashier's help they found the only 3 pairs his size were all mismatched. They had zero boys dress shirts for 12 or 14/16 but upon coming back today they got a shipment in and had some thank goodness. In the end we were able to get the boys each a 3 piece suit in black and a dress shirt/ties. Had to go online for dress shoes elsewhere. They did alter the suit we got perfectly.

Whether it be employees handing you clothes trying to upsell you, or following you around trying to tell you things would look good on you, etc. but today I went in to make a return. I had bought gifts for someone and they recently passed away. I went in with my receipt, got to the counter and the guy first tells me "sorry we can't accept returns after 4:18." At first I'm like haha funny. But no I actually wanna make a return, so he calls the manager up. From there he proceeds to tell me that if he "makes anymore returns he's going to lose his job." Then makes the joke again as his manager is standing next to him, he then looks at me and says "are you sure you want to return this I'm about to lose my job because of you. Do you want me to lose my job because of you ?" I reply man I just want to return this. He then proceeds to joke about how the clothing is his size "are you sure you want to return this" at this point I'm uncomfortable and just want to get out of the store I reply yes I want to return this. He then starts scanning it and asks AGAIN! "Do you really want to return this" at this point I'm fuming I finish my transaction and leave. I will never come in this store again. I will go to a department store and pay full price before dealing with those clowns again
