My rates for this very minor collision went up 90%. I talked with my broker and he said that this was the best he could do and there was no way to bring the cost down. When I talked about this with someone close to me, they recommended I give Tyson a call, and so I reached out. Tyson was able to get me almost the exact same coverage for a very small increase over what my rate had been before my accident. Literally went from a 90% increase to about 15%. He spoke with me at length about what the new policy included and took the time to make sure I understood everything before we made an agreement. On top of the big benefit to my wallet, I recently was out of town renting a car in Las Vegas when I noticed the agency required a copy of my insurance policy (not just the card) in order to avoid having to pay for the rental agency's insurance. I reached out to Tyson who immediately sent over the policy after also suggesting a temporary addition to my policy that would add additional common sense protections in case I was involved in a wreck in the rental car. The addition was just a couple bucks, but would cover things that could potentially be a huge cost in case of another fender bender. That's above and beyond type service already. My wife hired him 4 months ago. In these 4 months, the lawyer was constantly delaying (he did not provide any deadlines upfront), answering emails after waiting for a week, and his paralegals were constantly sending us contract drafts with rough legal mistakes. My wife and I agreed on divorce terms and were ready just to sign everything and file papers with the court. And after 4 months of extremely sluggish work, she still doesn't even have an estimate, then the paperwork will be ready. We finally forced him to provide us final version of the contract (after a month of calls and emails), and signed it. But now, instead of filing papers with the court, the lawyer sent her an email with a demand to pay an additional $2.5k in fees just to move forward.
