I had already been trying to see two other doctors who were so junior that they were not comfortable with my unique health issues, renal stage four and ADHD extreme with minor PTSD . He went into a rant telling me that I should be much less of a dose which I had been on before which doesn't work. His knowledge of outdated and so is his level of service. This man truly has a God complex. I would run away as fast as you can. Upon contacting him several times in the afternoon on Friday no one could return my call or do the necessary paperwork and then when reached out to you on the weekend, he ignored all the request from the pharmacy run away from this doctor. We have gone through a gambit of medications (I think five), before finding one that works (I'm on month four now of this med! Yay!). She is very accessible, caring, diligent. In response to other reviews, please keep in mind (readers) that interpersonal communication varies between individuals. That, and while not trying to negate feelings or experiences, some mental health diagnoses come with paranoia (or just a feeling of un-trust). I can speak from experience that on my first appointment I wanted to scream, run out of the room, etc. but NONE of it was BECAUSE of Dr. Reed--however, I did have to fight the urge to direct it at her. I won the battle that day, thankfully. Please take reviews about mental health care with a grain of salt. Anything worth doing is worth doing right and if you care about your mental health to the fullest (and understand the impact it has on others') then you'll be understanding of the possible wait times. Expect 1-3hrs for a thorough appointment (or delay).

Although the institute is not cheap, its many caregivers provide thorough assistance in all aspects of rebuilding a troubled life. Treating mental health is a daunting task, nothing is clear cut and many maladies are impervious to the best care. Nevertheless, Crownview has been wonderful for us so far. The client gets priority at CCI, and family dialogue with caregivers could be better. Nevertheless we feel lucky to have found Crownview. It deserves five stars.

No reason to keep me longer but somehow kept submitting to insurance to keep me for up to 2 months. Staff friendly but they keep you in the dark about your treatment. And no communication as to how long treatment will be. They made $60,000 a month off of me and I feel like death. Slept in a broken bed for almost the entire time. Yoga instructor that came had us do unsafe yoga poses with block and hurt neck and back which led me tot he er and no one would accompany me. Forced meds, no one returns calls, empty threats of more residential time, told my husband to freeze my credit cards to prevent me from leaving( although it's voluntary) was refused a visit from my family who were concerned about me. If you react negatively to the violence that occurs in the house they use it as an excuse to add more time. They just want your money and do not care about you. And reviews are correct. Everyone gets Ivega and drugged up and sedated so you stop complaining about he horrific conditions. The patio furniture is rusted and completely broken, cigarette butts everywhere and vaping in the house. Dr. Meldon was rude and obnoxious, I kept telling them how homesick I was and needed to leave and they just added more time convincing family you aren't ready. Other reviews are correct. You get isolated from the rest of the world and then discharged home after not being in society for great lengths of time. . I don't know how I will recover from this traumatizing experience. Hopefully this will serve as a warning about this mans true nature and his lack of real caring and sensitivity for his patients. Before I begin,, i need to say that none of what im about here to say is a criticism of his form of scientific psychiatry which I fully endorse nor amino therapy which i also support. I truly believe in the natural way of curing depression. Let me begin... I had actually found out about this psychiatrist on YouTube and learned about his using amino therapy to treat depression. I was excited to find someone potentially able to help my wife with her chronic depression as I didnt want her having to be on meds. Well at the time we couldn't afford his sessions nor all the testing for my wife because he didnt accept our insurance. This was frustrating. A few years later I had some money from a 401k that i was able to pull and use to pay for full on treatments for her. I sought out Dr Gersten again. My wife started having over the phone sessions and getting all the testing done. She then started on the regime he prescribed. It was around this time that things really turned for the worst. Please keep in mind my wife is a very sensitive person and her mental fragility. I being somewhat versed in amino therapy (although not a doctor) had a few specific questions for Dr. Gersten related to his analysis of one of her test results and so my wife innocently included my questions in her email to Dr Gersten. When he saw the email he became exceedingly angry realizing these weren't my wifes questions. In the phone call session that proceeded he reprimanded my wife verbally telling her that she was deceitful. He said he was not going to treat her anymore! That she broke the trust. This horrified my wife and she was literally in tears on the phone while this man belittled her. What psychiatrist would do that to his patient that he knows is mentally fragile ? My wife truly did not know she did anything wrong by including my questions in her email. Needless to say we are glad we are not working with Dr. David Gersten he is not at all a sensitive person and scarred my wife mentally over what was an innocent email mistake. He showed his true colors that his ego and anger is more important than sensitivity to his psychiatric patients.
