It's very cozy and relaxing and it's neat to see Margaret, the inspiration behind the sink, still sitting at the bar via her photograph. The folks behind the bar were very accommodating to our large party from our cruise excursion. We got to sample the original margarita and it's definitely different than what we get in the states. I enjoyed it more than the stateside version honestly, it has more flavor and isn't as sweet. Definitely recommend checking this spot out!

There's a great courtyard where you can just relax with your beverage of choice. You order your drink at the register and pay for it there. The you get a printed receipt which you give to a bartender who make ls your drink. A very efficient operation which I am sure makes getting drinks out go quickly when they're slammed. It was pretty dead the day I was here (Tuesday before. Thanksgiving), but I bet it gets pretty busy in the summer.

Iker, our server, gave excellent customer service and made some great recommendations. We tried their Sirena and Vieja beers and I think it's safe to say that you can't go wrong with whatever you try on their menu. Their ceviche verde and ceviche negro was fresh and amazing. Their sirloin beef burger patty is made in house and so tasty! My husband had the Rockefeller oysters and those were also very tasty! We will definitely be back for more on our next trip. BF had a couple of beers (cant remember what they were, but i believe it was local), and because i wasn't planning on drinking more (we just got done with a small winery tasting tour), but Chris recommended i try the cocktiel de guayaba, its a bourbon cocktail with guava! It was only 40 pesos and if the owner recommends me.....why would i refuse? we were super hungry so we wanted something light and Chris recommended the pulpo ceviche (100 pesos). My drink was ridiculously tasty as i am a huge guava fan and the bourbon balances the sweetness of the guava with the liquor. the pulpo (octopus) ceviche was wonderful and delicious with just the right portion and served with thin tortilla chips. Chris was so kind and chatted with us almost the entire time we were there. i HIGHLY recommend stopping by here for a quick drink and light bite even if you are here to explore the wines in this wine country. my only mistake was that we came here after having drank so much already from visiting all the wineries!

It looks…read morelike they just picked it up off a corner in Encinitas really - and anyone easing into the Mexico scene or hopping off of a cruise ship will find it to be a win. One of the managers took me on a quick tour and the back patio is awesome. There is local art that is painted right onto the walls and it will rotate occasionally. The service was attentive and friendly - although I feel like the staff hovered a bit. Americans like you to check in on them often, but they don't want you to stand there and watch them the whole night long. We didn't stay for more than one week - but the boys in our group returned the next night and stayed till they closed! I heard over a hung over breakfast that they had a blast. Check it out! Hot and new.
